A man is charged with attempted murder and a raft of firearms offences after helping fend off home invaders, one of whom he’s now charged with shooting. Kyle Earl Munroe was arrested on July 12 after RCMP and Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a home invasion involving firearms at a home in Porters Lake. Police said that three men entered the residence with guns and a struggle took place with two men inside. The two in the home seized a firearm from one of the suspects and several shots were fired as the suspects fled. Police later located one of

Comments:
So...three guys with guns break into this guy´s house. A fight ensues. A gun is seized from one of the perps and used by the homeowner to protect himself. Now the homeowner is charged with a whole battery of crimes. Gun Control Laws - you gotta love ´em! s/off

Well, that an open and shut case of wanton and reckless self defense. Only in Canada, though and all other libtarded run countries.

I´m gathering that the shots were fired at the home invaders while they were running away. Even here in the US that can get you into a lot of trouble. Most likely not in Texas tho, thank heaven.

Problems with the Brits, Aussie´s, NZlanders, is they have it a%$ backwards. You arrest crooks for breaking into houses, not people for defending their property.

Reading this it seems that charges are under consideration. I´m betting pending the investigation. He may be guilty of each and every item, but it can be viewed as justified.
I´m thinking the Canadian legal system has the ´innocent until proven guilty´ thing wrong.
In Canada if it is as it appears he will be fine. In the UK, not so much.

It looks like they have about ten charges, most with the word "firearm" in them. What has happened to these gutless people? They are deathly afraid of firearms but are importing thousands of enemies into their own country.

Several posters commented on the madness of leftards - a criminal, self-identified by their actions, can simply run away to try again another day if their current prospective victim turns out to be a bad choice by the criminal. And the next victim may be out of luck when attacked by the criminal. These ´Oh, can´t shoot them as they are fleeing´ moronic laws were written by fools (aka leftards).

My guess is that the same penalty would be imposed in LA, SF, Chicago, NY, Boston and just about any city run by Democrats here in the USA.

Welcome to the Donald Trump status reality check for dummies, part 276. It seems like the established political and punditry world needs many frequent reminders about President Trump´s resilience every time he goes through a wounding incident like he is now with the beating he´s taking over his response to the violent protests in Charlottesville last weekend. So here are the several reasons why President Trump is simply down, but not out in any permanent sense. There are four key things to remember: (Note: None of the points below are excuses for President Trump. They simply explain why he´s not as vulnerable as

Vladimir Putin’s former media czar was murdered in Washington, DC, on the eve of a planned meeting with the US Justice Department, according to two FBI agents whose assertions cast new doubts on the US government’s official explanation of his death. Mikhail Lesin’s battered body was discovered in his Dupont Circle hotel room on the morning of Nov. 5, 2015, with blunt-force injuries to the head, neck, and torso. After an almost yearlong "comprehensive investigation," a federal prosecutor announced last October that Lesin died alone in his room due to a series of drunken falls “after days of excessive consumption of

“There must always” be a flow low-skilled immigration to the United States, no matter its impact on American workers, according to Republican establishment figure Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ). Flake slammed the idea of potentially cutting legal immigration levels in half to raise the wages of American workers and end the current low-skilled oriented system to make only admit immigrants based on their skills and merit in a New York Times op-ed. Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and David Perdue (R-GA) introduced the specific plan, known as the “RAISE Act.” President Donald Trump endorsed the plan and said the legislation “will reduce poverty, increase
