Obama says he´s ´determined
as ever´ for gun bill

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

From the article:

"This is not about me. This is not about politics. This is about doing the right thing for all the families who are here who have been torn apart by gun violence," Obama said, his voice rising with emotion as he shook his finger in the air.

Let me help the uninformed or the inattentive with a translation from Obama English to Plain English:

Obama English: This is not about me.

Plain English: This is all about Me, the God-Emperor Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama English: This is not about politics.

Plain English: This is all about politics, this is nothing but politics, this is only about politics.

Obama English: This is about doing the right thing for all the families who are here who have been torn apart by gun violence,"

Plain English: This is not at all about doing the right thing for all the families who are here who have been torn apart by gun violence. This is all about Me, Me, Me and my desire to politically damage the Republicans, the National Rifle Association, honest American gun owners, and anyone who stands in My Way, for I am the God-Emperor Barack Hussein Obama and none shall resist Me."

That this two faced clown should be the first to attempt to take our weapons only gives WTP an insight into his black soul. Our guns are ours for a reason you fraud from the unknown Attempt to take them at your own peril. We are wise to you, your lies, your plans, your evil attempts to bring down our great nation. YOU might think you are our government....but remember YOU WORK FOR US and your services can be terminated at any given time if enough of US have had more than we can stomach. They cannot legally vote to impede our rights under the Constitution. I think the President needs to be considered for Impeachment and those proposing opposition to the Second Amendment need to be charged with being domestic enemies of the Constitution.

The complicit media is in the tank once again, trying over simplify these gun laws being about background checks, when they´re really more far reaching. They want a national database for every gun owner in this country, except for criminals.Nobody really knows where gangbangers get their guns and the government has no interest in finding out.

This is about putting scarlet letters on people´s heads as a form of ridicule and creating target groups for left wing activists to attack.

I´d much rather have a national database of people who are eligible to vote and only being able to vote once.

The WH gun running Fast & Furious was the seed for gun control. The mentally ill lone gun men sprouted the seed, then the drive-by media gave it some water. Now the demonrats are tending to it, all in the name of getting rid of that pesky 2nd Amendment so Barry´s civilian army can completely control the people.

"Determined as ever" as applied to the national debt, the deficit and unemployment translates from Barack-speak to actual English: "I´m determined to make the problem worse".

And he always delivers.

Gun Control is a very convenient platform with which to create an intrusive, controlling database that can be a powerful tool for political manipulation, social control, cowing down opposition and voter intimidation in the future. There solved the translation problem.

CT gun bill has NOT ONE thing that would have stopped Adam Lanza.
Had Lanza not shot himself, he would not have faced the death penalty as the same nitwits that just took away our second amendment rights abolished the death penalty only months before Sandy Hook! Never mind that THE PEOPLE were in favor of keeping the death penalty by 60% plus.

this is interesting psychologically. This is the first time I have seen the President acting like he gives a damn and is willing to work hard to get a piece of legislation passed. Even Obamacare was turned over to congress with presidential instruction to "just pass anything." Jobs, budget, terrorism, meh....whatever. I have a fundraiser to go to. Golf to play. Hoops to shoot. But here he is really trying. Am I being paranoid by wondering if it is because this is an attack on a constitutional right?

For what the families have suffered I am truly sorry -- BUT -- that does not mean MY right to bear arms should be stepped on......

The obama strategy of "never let a crisis go to waste" is playing itself out. He´s using the grief/stricken families as political pawns in his game of Me/Me/Me/Me......

WE the people can see the "won" losing his cool because someone said "NO" to him.....

Perhaps you should be worried about the little brat in North Korea throwing his stones around and do YOUR job, i.e. protect American interests. That would include South Korea. You do know where that is -- right?????

FTA, " They´re saying they´ll do everything they can to even prevent any votes on these provisions. They´re saying your opinion doesn´t matter. And that´s not right."

He has some audacity to make a statement like that with all the times he´s bypassed Congress with EO´s.

Why haven´t the Republicans paraded the families of the Benghazi deceased like Obama parades the families of the deceased children? Obama is a school bus chaser, that´s all he has-from the healthcare prop boy to Sandy Hook he knows the weak spot that stirs up Americans. He uses children as a shield and a shameless means to an end.

´ was checking out the commieblaster web site the other day. One entry explained how an American physicist was visiting Russia back in 1992. Someone told him, "we have a black KGB agent who is going to be the president of the United States soon". Savor that and keep it in mind and all the destructive actions Obama is taking against America makes perfect sense. Economy? Jobs? U.S. Debt? ha! fugit about it already: Comrade Bamboozler has other objectives in mind. Lenin disarmed his people as well.

America has always been the greatest country in the World.
Our Presidents represented us with dignity and decorum.
Now we have Obama running around the country like a chicken without a head, screaming at us like Rev. Wright at his pulpit.
I can think of a few other leaders of countries who worked themselves into frothing frenzies. He has to mezmorize the dumb masses.

The truth is Obama doesn´t want anyone he can´t control to possess firearms. He wants them in the hands of the government not a free people. Tyranny depends on defenseless patriots. He wants us to surrender the right to bear arms because he knows it will get very messy if he has to come get them.

It is all about him. Were it not, he would gather some statistics about gun violence and realize that the areas where the gun regulations are tightest are the same areas where gun violence is highest.

He is using one crazy person´s gun ownership as justification for confiscation, and make no mistake, that is where he wants to go. So do all liberals, actually believing that rules and laws stop gun violence.

I may be a bit of a simpleton but had there been a trained concealed weapon holder in Sandy Hook Elementary school the carnage would have been far less and many grieving parents would still have their child alive today. I do not understand why they aren´t angry enough to demand something as simple and positive as this. There will be another massacre somewhere soon - the no more 2nd amendment zealots will have to stage one more try at convincing you.

Obozo has a lot of gall to stand there and cry about how "everyone" or "the majority" of people, nation wide, really want these gun control measures. Well, what happened to the actual large majority of Americans the were and still are opposed to Obozocare? Got any answer for that?

This whole dog and pony show is a classic action of just what the founders warned about. This is a group of politicians attempting to create legislation by relying on people´s emotions instead of reasoned debate. Re-read your Federalist Papers. Of course, today´s modern "progressives" don´t have a clue what reasoned debate is. It´s all about emotion.

It´s not your imagination, #33. Our guns are the only thing standing between Dictator Soetoro and every other thing he wants to do to damage the country and enslave the populace. We CAN NOT give an inch on this 2nd Amendment assault. If he uses an executive order we need to use a people´s order to counter it. Congress is obviously not going to stand in his way except when their jobs are on the line. They still do not realize that they become expendable when he gets full control.

A prominent Japanese politician has raised hackles as Barack Obama visits Tokyo by claiming it´s an ´open secret´ that he and the first lady are headed for divorce, and that the president has been using Secret Service agents to cover for him as he pursues extramarital affairs. Kazuyuki Hamada, who sits in the upper house of Japan´s parliament, earned his PhD a half-mile from the White House at George Washington University, and emerged as a shrill commentator on America´s economy and foreign policy. In 2009 he also joined the ranks of the so-called ´birthers,´ arguing in a book titled ´Who is Obama?´

WASHINGTON — The principle that all Internet content should be treated equally as it flows through cables and pipes to consumers looks all but dead. Companies like Disney, Google or Netflix will be allowed to pay Internet service providers like Comcast and Verizon for special, faster lanes to send video and other content to their customers under new rules to be proposed by the Federal Communications Commission, the agency said on Wednesday. The proposed rules are a turnaround for the agency on what is known as net neutrality — the idea that Internet users should have equal ability to see any legal

The federal student loan program is becoming so costly to taxpayers that even President Obama is pretending to fix it. Readers will recall Mr. Obama as the man who has spent much of his Presidency expanding this program, creating new ways for borrowers to avoid repayment, and then campaigning about these dubious achievements on campuses nationwide. Now Team Obama is acknowledging that his policies are turning out to be more expensive than he claimed. Participation in federal debt-forgiveness programs is surging. In a mere six months the number of borrowers who´ve signed up for such plans has increased to more than

The Affordable Care Act´s Independent Payment Advisory Board has been so heavily criticized for being an unaccountable body with the power to effectively ration Medicare services that many congressional Democrats no longer support it. IPAB´s bureaucratic cousin—the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation—deserves the same treatment. Both institutions are in place to preserve rather than reform Medicare´s traditional, and broken, fee-for-service Medicare program. They both also embrace the ObamaCare technocratic mind-set. IPAB´s 15 supposed experts (yet to be nominated by the Obama administration) are charged with governing a program with more than 50 million enrollees. The unstated yet clear agenda is to

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Wednesday that immigrants living in the United States illegally are not going home, and that the U.S. has no practical way of forcing them to leave. "They´re not going home. And so why don´t we give them a path to citizenship," McCain asked at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy Jr. forum. "There are not enough buses to deport them," he added. "It´s de facto amnesty." The senator, who has pushed for immigration reform, said once Congress passes legislation he believes it will be named after the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.). Kennedy and McCain had worked on a comprehensive

Things got ugly a couple of weeks ago among the bubbled one-percent when fading movie star George Clooney and casino billionaire Steve Wynn engaged in a war of words over President Barack Obama. Wynn said the blow up happened while he was having dinner with Clooney and a few others in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that according to Wynn, he criticized the Affordable Care Act during dinner and Clooney had a "hissy fit." "When he´s drinking," Wynn adds, Clooney "considers himself a close personal buddy of the president." Clooney doesn´t deny the confrontation. Clooney´s version of events, released through his

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. She blamed the Obama administration

Public Trust: Sixty-one percent polled say President Obama lies "some of the time" or "most of the time" on matters of national importance. Americans have to ask: Why do we let him get away with it? It´s no surprise that a Fox News poll of 1,012 registered voters last week found immense distrust of a president whose main domestic initiative was based on a lie. The shock is that the same poll found his disapproval level down to its lowest since last fall. Asked, "How often do you think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters?" 37% replied "most of

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives
