Oh-oh! The dreaded i-word
starts attaching itself to Obama

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 4/4/2013 10:37:18 AM

We have already seen Peak Obama; from here on, it´s going to get rougher and rougher for Barack Obama. Even worse, the one word he must fear the most has just been uttered by a man regarded as a bit of a truth-teller among liberal elites. Joe Klein, the celebrated author "Anonymous," who wrote the best selling, truth-telling book Primary Colors about the 1992 primary campaign that brought us President Bill Clinton, has made it ok for liberals to apply the word "incompetence" to the Obama administration. This represents something of a breakthrough. Until now, it has been taboo

The "i" word? My first thought was "Indonesian," -- very poor reflex on my part, and I apologize to the gerat and valued people of Indonesia.

Should have thought "irritating", "ignorant", "idiotic"...

Does Obama ever not use the word "I" all the time? We know he thinks he does everything so he is always saying I did this and I did that, all Inaccuracies.

I had not seen the clip before because I did not care enough. However, when I watched the clip in this article about him shooting those jumpshots I noticed something interesting. I am not much of a basketball player, but when I shoot jumpshots and I miss, I change my delivery the next shot. I watched Obama fire off three shots in a row from the same spot with exactly the same motion and exactly the same result. I think that tells us quite a bit about our President.

Zero was a sub on the Punahou High basketball team, and it´s not hard to see why that was. He spends a lot of time on the basketball court and on the golf course--much more than any other president, by far--but on the court he can´t hit; neither can he hit on the links. His golf swing is an uncoordinated, powder puff move generating little clubhead speed or precision. One thousand rounds with Tiger wouldn´t improve his golfing abilities because he lacks the one thing that all good golfers have: hand-eye coordination. His baseball pitching motion is similarly goofy. In no way is this character a natural athlete.

His physical abilities aside, he doesn´t seem to do much else well, either. About the only thing he has going is that important sounding speaking timbre that drives the Low Information Voters wild. Never mind that the mind behind that voice is about as fertile as desert sand; this character could stand at the lectern and say, "I just sliced my grandmother´s throat from ear to ear," and his votaries would scream in approval. It´s like a 1964 Beatles concert; you couldn´t hear the band for all the screaming.

There is no doubt that he loves the adulation, the title, and the power it confers. But he´s just not into the work thing, especially when there´s playing and partying to do on the taxpayer dime. The entirety of his reputation for brilliance rests on his first ghostwritten "autobiography." West of the Atlantic there´s never been such a phony who rose so far, so fast, so unaccountably. As long as he and his ilk are in power, this nation is in a bunch of trouble.

Successfully crippling the US economy is not incompetence. Infusing the US government with an army of socialists is not incompetence. Exploiting ignorance and using the MSM to spread it is not incompetence. Encouraging America´s enemies around the world is not incompetence.

It is fulfilling the Democrats´ dreams. They, like Klein, just refuse to admit what they are really up to. Still.

That´s just wishful thinking. Nothing will ever permanently attach itself to 0bama the magnificent. For every article that may hint at his incompetence by one of his leftist worshipers (which we all know to be true), there will be hundreds written and spoken over the air that will still adulate him and prop up the malevolent Marxist and cover for his sins and crimes against this nation.

Similar to what they did in the skeet-shooting jive, stinky´s puppetmasters will produce a CG video of the worthless little fraud sinking 20 of 22. It wouldn´t surprise me if they just photoshopped his pointed little knob onto some old Michael Jordan clips. That would be enough for his brain-dead media toadies, and more than enough for his ignorant worshippers.

Totally agree with #10 - his supposed passion for basketball & golf are totally contrived PR stunts designed to give him street cred with certain targeted constituencies. He never developed any natural athletic ability by playing outdoors with the neighborhood kids - instead he was hanging out in some dark basement with the choom gang, (and the other pasty faced creeps that never saw sunshine) dreaming up revolution and plotting to take down the USA.

If he didn´t insist on making himself the center of attention at every event, he wouldn´t embarrass himself. This was supposed to be about the children, not him. He should have let the kids be the stars & just stood back and applauded them as any normal president would do. But he just had to grab the spotlight, then make a fool of himself.

Insidious and Islam-favoring. He isn´t incompetent in achieving his Alinsky goals--chaos and the resulting revolution.

A win-win for obaMao. Either he has a legacy of changing the US from within which he bemoaned was not possible as election-stealing day neared. Hardly incompetent in loosing the dogs of voter fraud.

Community organizers believe in change through revolution--he called our Occupy to help him. Social democrats like those Allen West named in Congress as socialists, believe in change without bloody revolution.

Communists believe revolution necessary. He is doing a pretty good job of enriching himself and building a dynasty-political power, whatever and if it all collapses into chaos it can be rebuilt from the bottom up as wished by his real father, Frank Marshall Davis, Communist community organizer in Hawaii. Just why did his mother send him to Hawaii to be mentored by Davis instead of to Kenya.

He is only incompetent to those who erroneously think he has one goal AND the best interests of a constitutional USA to be saved. He promised to fundamentally change America and he is.

As the labor movement tells the story, two months ago, the silly, ungrateful Volkswagen factory workers in Tennessee foolishly rejected the generous invitation of the company and the United Auto Workers to welcome the Detroit-killing union with open arms. In an election supervised by the federal National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the workers in VW´s Chattanooga plant rejected UAW representation by a vote of 712 to 626. Amazingly, the UAW and the automaker both refuse to take the workers´ "no" for an answer. The two sides are acting in unison to overturn the democratically expressed will of the workers. For more than 160 years, Henry David Thoreau´s essay on Civil Disobedience has inspired Americans to "make known what kind of government would command his respect" so that we could live under that government in good conscience. Ultimately, in a free society, that´s all we have that is truly our own; our conscience. Following its dictates, says Thoreau, is the only rational way to live your life and be true to oneself. It had been years since I read Civil Disobedience and I was surpised by how Cliven Bundy´s words echoed many of the theses in the essay. Legal experts overwhelmingly agree

A Soros-funded nonprofit New Yorker magazine called “one of the most important radical environmental groups in the country” has issued a statement denouncing the Bureau of Land Management‘s (BLM) decision to back away from a showdown with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and hundreds of supporters. A scientist for The Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) blasted BLM saying the federal agency “has a sacred duty to manage our public lands in the public interest…instead it is allowing a freeloading rancher and armed thugs to seize hundreds of thousands of acres of the people’s land as their own fiefdom.” CBD is funded by Earthjustice

If you live in flyover country, lay in a supply of popcorn and get ready to watch a continuing comedy drama being staged for your amusement by the progressives of San Francisco. The driving force is the classic dirty little secret of progressivism, greed and envy, and these deadly sins are amply on display in Baghdad-by-the-Bay these days.(snip)Yesterday, hundreds of SEIU members rallied in front of Twitter HQ to denounce the greed of the company that provides jobs and plenty of other tax revenue to assorted governments that employ SEIU members. Last week we witnessed repeated efforts by Democrats to polarize the country along racial lines. Eric Holder, speaking at Al Sharpton´s conference, implied that he and the President are being treated harshly because they are black. (snip) The Republican base that Steve Israel says is animated by racism, nominated me -- an American of African descent and a great grandson of slaves -- for Lt. Governor of Virginia. They embraced me warmly, treated me respectfully and supported me enthusiastically. The liberal media on the other hand set out to destroy me. My white Democrat opponent was even caught on camera

Harry Reid’s jihad against the Koch Brothers has already yielded a hilarious video compilation of his 134 mentions of their name. But now with new information, his Koch addiction can become a potent tool in the hands of Republicans. Call it karma, if you like, but the former boxer now leading the Senate majority has left himself wide open. It turns out that Koch Industries employees and PACs have donated to quite a large number of Congressional Democrats.(snip) The ads practically write themselves: Mary Landrieu’s Majority Leader says the Koch Brothers are un-American. After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our
