A swarm of actors and actresses — including Sharon Stone, Tracy Morgan, Tiffani Thiessen, and Alfre Woodard — is trading Hollywood for the Hill, as they head to Washington to lobby lawmakers for arts funding. The group of artists — which will also include Patricia Arquette, “Private Practice’s” Tim Daly, Kevin McHale of “Glee” fame, Sam Trammell from “True Blood,” Giancarlo Esposito, “The Office” actor Leslie David Baker, and Josh Radnor — all hail from The Creative Coalition. The nonprofit organization is sending the delegation to D.C. for Capitol Hill Arts Day on April 26. While in town,

Greedy, wealthy, slobbering piggish, vampires lining up at the government trough to suck the taxpayer dry like they were getting food stamps and disability.

Of course, all in the name of the "Arts".

If it was going to be spent on arts exposure for school kids ok. When I was in 2nd grade we had music memory. You had to learn to recognize 7 or 8 pieces of classical music. The local PBS station ran the pieces a few times. After we learned the pieces we were treated to a concert at Grady Gammage where the Phoenix Symphony played each piece for us. It was wonderful. All of our families went, we were all dressed up. If it´s that kid of arts funding I´m all for it. Somehow I think I´m delusional and they have nothing like this in mind.

Donate your own money if you feel that strongly about it.
We as a country, MUST start choosing between wants and needs. We can no longer afford both.

Hollywood, you need to start funding stuff for yourselves. Stay out of our pockets!! This just proves Lady Thatcher was right about libs and other peoples money.

If enough Hollywood multi multi millionaires started funding these things themselves then maybe that might even help relieve some of their liberal guilt about having earned so much money pursuing their craft.

Sharon Stone´s most famous on-screen moment was....you know.

Tracy Morgan is regularly billed as a ´comic´ despite any supporting evidence of same.

Now Tiffani Thiessen can say and do whatever she likes.....

The word "artist" is way over used. Anyone who can shape a virgin Mary from manure or stick a crucifix in a jar of urine is held in high regard. Let these sickos fund their own deviant "art". Don´t ask us to pay for it.

President Obama on Friday signed into law a bill authored by Texas Republican Sen. President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent.
