Outrageous as it may seem to some, rather than respond appropriately to the criticism and back off from the extravagant vacations, Michelle and Barry chose instead to thumb their noses at America by flying Sasha and Malia from the Atlantis in the Bahamas to Sun Valley, Idaho to top off Easter week with a little skiing. For those who are shocked, here´s the bottom line: Nothing anyone does or says is going to change who these people are. It is now crystal clear that no amount of public disapproval or disparagement will deter them from spending our money
Clinically mentally ill. They are both narcissists to the Nth degree. Neither one of them would know the truth if it smacked them in their faces. Those morons that voted for them deserve everything they are getting, it´s the rest of us who actually pay for thing that are getting screwed. Maybe it is time for Little Kim to do his thing on DC.
Recall Sun Valley and Atlantis when you watch the next Wounded Warriors advert. The total taxpayer costs for flying the Obamas to Aspen, the Bahamas and Idaho would probably exceed what Wounded Warriors collects from contributions in 12 months from caring Americans.
As Obama constantly reminds us, America can do better,
Utterly reprehensible, and when anyone complains, they´ll feign outrage. Which is what I believe they´re hoping for. Odious people. Horrible parents. But I have to say that many of my acquaintances think it´s the coolest thing in the world that those girls fly all over without mom and dad. It shows how hip they are. Ask Lindsey Lohan how wonderful her life is. Those girls are heading down the same path. Couldn´t happen to a nicer family.
After we get all hot in the Bahamas, it’s nice to cool down with a little more skiing. We all do it don’t we? After all, its free. http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2013/03/first_daughters_spring_break_part_ii_sun_valley.html
I´m getting a little surprised Mo and Stinky don´t address us in French. Not that they can brag much about their English.
FTA: no amount of public disapproval or disparagement will deter them from spending our money to wantonly indulge themselves as often as they please. After all, in their minds, they´re worth it.
I´d characterize it differently. I believe they are convinced it´s their due. See #5.
#8: Probably part of it, but I doubt it´s Mo´s main motivation.
#9: Well, ´til Mo-n-Stinky, no other Prez and spouse came close to matching the stench of Bill-n-Hill. The Clintons reportedly loaded a bunch of our historic furniture into their moving vans. Stinky may well try to keep a 747. Oh. And a "gas" card.
#11: Oh, yeah. Even phony charities and scamming the coming pseudo-Presidential library could ever match having your Visa card backed by the US Taxpayer.
#12: Yeah, Mo´s such a devoted and caring mom she can supervise her kids from a hyper-exclusive restaurant a couple thousand miles away.
Zippy was booed after golf. That needs to happen every time he shows up in public.
But did not like the filthy comments posted under the original article. We can do better than that, even when it comes to the Traitor in Chief...though when no one´s around at home he gets the worst from me.
My husband and I run a small ranch that has been in the family for 4 generation. Due to the burden of taxes and regulations, my family is barely getting by. This year we scrimped and saved to provide our grandchildren with some kind of spring break. Our budget allowed us to take them on a 1 day trip to The Holyland Experience with a stop at Chic Fil A for lunch. We hand a wonderful time, but nothing compared to the Barbie Dream Vacations IdiAminObamma and Moochell Antoinette treat their brats to....at our expense! I´m so disgusted by these thugs who live like Rappers, gansters and movie stars, while We pay their bills.
Is the 0bamas´ lavish lifestyle, along with that of this dem Administration of statist beltway pols, but another in the lengthening list of examples displaying 0bama´s, ´´revenge?!´´ ...They all apparently revel in life at the tippy-top of their crafted PC pyramid scheme.
The lefties keep saying it none of our business because the Obamas are wealthy and paying for their vacations with their own money. If they were also paying for the Secret Service and other security, as well as the housing & feeding of the SS and for the airfare too, then I wouldn´t say a thing. But you KNOW they don´t pay for those things....we do,
Where does BHO get the money everyone is complaining about? Well of cours it can only come from an appropriation by the House. Who controls the House? The Republicans. It is the Republicans who are funding the 1.4 Billion Dollar Man. Carp all you want but it is our guys that are letting this go on. And they never mention it. Why? Because they all have dirty hands.
With temps around 56 degrees and no new snow machines are grooming the heavy amounts at the top --now comes the problem. rain is due in several days making avalanche dangers. Stay close to the resort little girls it´s grizzly waking time.
Clinton used to consult his pollster (Dick Morris) before he took a vacation. I don´t recall that he ever sent Chelsea off on her own. Obama obviously doesn´t care what the polls say. He won and that´s that.
What about the group of girls that were with the WH brats? Article doesn´t mention them so I wonder if they are still along for the ride or were they sent home from Atlantis. Inquiring minds want to know!!
#27: It could be they don´t own any, but, like Al Sharpton and $2,000 suits, they "just have use of them."
They surely do beat the pants off Charlie Rangel though [Oh! I apologize for that image!]. He just nicked the taxpayers for 4 or 5 rent-controlled apartments, not a fleet of jets, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue [makes one very expensive clothes-drop, laundry stop, Wednesday night party crib], Mo´s cadre of "personal assistants [say, do the girls have "personal assistants" too? To "help" with correspondence or whatever?], on and on and on.
The sequester, no matter how imperfect a policy, is arguably the only victory for fiscal conservatives in a very long time. Their victory is also president Obama’s biggest defeat (outside of the self-inflicted disastrous Obamacare rollout). It is also another opportunity to remind the American people that the alarmist predictions that we were all subjected to about the devastating impact sequestration would have on our economy didn’t materialize. Yet, in a new move, Republicans are once again considering caving to Democrats and getting rid of the spending cuts. This morning’s Wall Street Journal has the following. Still, officials close to
President Obama’s repeated use of presidential powers is causing a tough problem — his own supporters now expect him to use it to achieve everything they want. From immigration to the minimum wage, congressional Democrats and liberal activists this week urged Mr. Obama to declare an end run around Capitol Hill, assert executive authority and make as much progress as he can on the expansive agenda he laid out for his second term. A day after Mr. Obama denounced income inequality, progressive lawmakers said he should take the lead by issuing an executive order requiring all federal contractors to pay
Three crises, one president, many bewildered friends. The first crisis, barely noticed here, is Ukraine’s sudden turn away from Europe and back to the Russian embrace. After years of negotiations for a major trading agreement with the European Union, Ukraine succumbed to characteristically blunt and brutal economic threats from Russia and abruptly walked away. Ukraine is instead considering joining the Moscow-centered Customs Union with Russia’s fellow dictatorships Belarus and Kazakhstan. This is no trivial matter. Ukraine is not just the largest European country, it’s the linchpin for Vladimir Putin’s dream of a renewed imperial Russia, hegemonic in its neighborhood and
Entering his sophomore year at Occidental College, Barack Obama sought a political movement to match his personal awakening, which he signaled to friends and family at the time by reclaiming his African first name. Barry became Barack that year. He had read Du Bois, Fanon, Malcolm X — an array of authors writing about the black struggle for liberation in his country and in others shaking off the legacy of colonial rule around the world. That is where he looked for — and found — a figure and a cause to channel his rising political enthusiasm: Nelson Mandela, then imprisoned
I´m generally for more disclosure in campaign finance, but the best argument against requiring full disclosure by groups engaged in political speech is that politicians sometimes retaliate against their critics. Sen. Elizabeth Warren inadvertently made that very argument this week. As told by Ben White at Politico, a group called "Third Way" criticized Warren. Warren apparently suspected that Third Way´s criticism of her was funded by banks. So she wrote a letter to bank CEOs demanding they disclose which political groups they´re funding. Warren sits on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. She´s basically telling the entities
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
Last summer on his $100 million family tour of Africa, Barack Obama hoped for a priceless photo op with Nelson Mandela, the ailing freedom pioneer who went from prison cell to the presidency of South Africa. Mandela´s family suggested that wouldn’t happen. So, the Obamas did a photo op in Mandela´s former prison cell. Which Obama’s White House quickly tweeted upon word of the icon´s passing at 95. [Skip] But Obama was also caught staring at television coverage of Mandela’s passing, which became Obama’s Photo of the Day.
Hardly a week goes by without Hillary Clinton receiving another award. Last month she was named a “Global Champion” by the International Medical Corps, received the American Patriot Award at the National Defense University Foundation and the Hermandad Award from the Mexican American Leadership Initiative. [Snip] At this rate, if a bunch of elderly left-wing Swedes toss her the Nobel Peace Prize early on, the way they did to Obama, it will barely rate mention among all the other glittering trophies that have been bestowed on a woman whose only actual accomplishment was being married to a crooked governor with
Speaker John Boehner said his party should support gay Republican congressional candidates and urged his colleagues to “be a little more sensitive” when running against women. “Some of our members just aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be,” Boehner said. When asked if he thinks his party should support gay candidates, Boehner simply said: “I do.”
In February, the Bush family’s personal emails were hacked by Guccifer, a hacker who uncovered photographs of former President George H. W. Bush in a hospital bed and George W. Bush’s oil paintings in the process. It seems Guccifer has struck again, this time targeting former President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Library. The hacker has reportedly uncovered doodles of Clinton drawing on what were, at the time, classified documents. Among the doodles is apparently a picture of a penis. The document uncovered is a briefing of the strategic measures the United States could take prior Clinton’s decision to intervene in
Denver - A baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex ceremony must serve gay couples despite his religious beliefs or face fines, a judge said Friday. The order from administrative law judge Robert N. Spencer said Masterpiece Cakeshop in suburban Denver discriminated against a couple "because of their sexual orientation by refusing to sell them a wedding cake for their same-sex marriage." The order says the cake-maker must "cease and desist from discriminating" against gay couples. Although the judge did not impose fines in this case, the business will face penalties if it continues to turn away gay
Amid an array of “knock-out” attacks against a number of Jews in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, a city councilwoman pointed to the success of the Jewish community as triggering the aggression. Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo emphasized that while she “admire[s] the Jewish community immensely” for its work ethic, black teens may see it differently. “While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success,” Cumbo, who was recently elected, wrote in a letter. Chief among the issues
