Barack Obama, Ammo Salesman
Powerline, by John Hinderaker

It isn’t just AR-15s that are flying off the shelves. Shooters are also starting to experience a serious shortage of ammunition. This is partly because President Obama is using up so much ammo. He sprang a secret on us in an interview with New Republic, finally letting the cat out of the bag after all these years: Obama says he goes skeet shooting at Camp David “all the time.” Really? Who knew? I thought he just played basketball, golfed and smoked cigarettes.

Genius that he is, Barack Obama inspired the Tea Party and now lights a bonfire under pro-gun America. WTG, smart guy!

He´s one decently worded question away from delivering the greatest snipe hunt description of all time.

Reply 4 - Posted by: privateer, 1/28/2013 7:33:22 AM     (No. 9143572)

But, but, skeet shooting is neither hunting nor self-defense. It´s just shooting for the fun of it! Doesn´t that make him a gun nut?

Reply 5 - Posted by: The Patriot Code, 1/28/2013 7:35:29 AM     (No. 9143576)

When he was elected in 2008 and merely standing behind podiums emblazoned with "President ELECT of the United States of America", anyone wanting to work in any capacity in his administration had to answer a very lengthy questionairre. IIRC, it asked questions like "do you own a gun?", "have you ever fired a gun?", "does anyone you know own a gun?", etc., etc. Now Djangobama would have us believe that Camp David is a sportman´s paradise. Ha! And one more thing: Be not deceived by The Deceiver. The 2nd Amendment is not about shooting skeet.

Where´s the pictures?

If this were true we would have seen hundreds by now depicting Barry´s love of guns and "rational" gun control.

I don´t believe you Mr. Øbama. Someone who goes ´shooting all the time´ does NOT refer to gun enthusiasts as ´bitter clingers.´

You´re just a liar and a panderer, Mr. Øbama.

Djangobama ... love it, #5!

We are all sooooo lucky to have this, this, Superleader, telling US all what to do, what to eat, how to think!

I can hardly remember a time - so long ago - when we had to fend for ourselves, feed our own families, heck - even WORK our own J-O-B-S!

And now, all we have to do is agree, keep our heads down, and do what we´re told, when we´re told and how we´re told.

Life is good!

(/s - of course)

Obammy shoots skeet in order to relax after performing operations on people for free. And after he´s done working on the gutters & leaders around the house he likes to kick back with a few rounds of taking out the old clay discs and then follow that up with a few brewskis.

What a crock and what lousy reporting! No one bothered to ask a follow up? Like do you use a side-by-side or an over & under? Remington, Browning or Benelli? Do you pull left or right?

I searched for a photo of Obammy with a gun --- any gun --- and all I found was doctored photos. We would see hundreds if this was true.

When was the last time he was at Camp David? According to all of the news media, he, Mooch and the little mooches hate Camp David. They like the luxury resorts, not the rustic camps. So, I have to say...

For all I know, the individual calling himself Barack Obama may be an avid skeet shooter. As usual with this strange man, we don´t have the facts. All we know is what he tells us about himself. The mainstream media has devoted itself to keeping as much information about him hidden as it can, and to discrediting and demonizing all who request more documented facts. The individual calling himself Barack Obama seems best understood as the fictional protagonist of a collaborative political novel written by a number of people and organizations, the latter including the liberal news media.

The mind rebels at the image of Barry banging away at clay pigeons at the shooting range. One thinks of Michael Dukakis playing tank commander. I would be very surprised if Obama is telling the truth about this particular matter.

As others have noted, the important thing is not whether the individual calling himself Barack Obama actually does enjoy skeet shooting. The important thing is that the Second Amendment and the thinking behind it have absolutely nothing to do with skeet shooting.

#17 beat me to it - I was going to ask when was the last time he was at Camp David? He is such a master liar, he didn´t even crack a smile when he said he shoots skeet at Camp David. I wonder if he even knows where Camp David is and for whom it is named - why would he, it´s part of U.S. history.

It really is amazing going into local stores and seeing ZERO ammo for hanguns, as well as ZERO .223/5.56 and especially .22LR.

Going into a sporting goods store or Walmart and finding no .22 ammo is like going into a supermarket and finding no white bread. I find this unnerving, but on another level also encouraging. It shows that there are a lot of people across the US who are paying attention and who care.

Concealed Carry Skeetgun Permits may be hard to come by, but Rootin’ Tootin’ Sharp-Shootin’ Annie Oakley Obama has one. As an avid student of American History, he’s always been particularly interested in what was served at our nation’s first Thanksgiving dinner which we shared with the Pilgrims. His research discovered it featured quite an extensive menu. Skeet Fricassee was the main course, of course. Other delectable dishes included turkey, chicken, venison, fish, foot-long subs, In-And-Out Burgers, Big Macs and Whoppers. Plenty of veggies, too. And not surprisingly, the candied yams were especially popular at the kids’ table. And what’s Thanksgiving without both varieties of Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce? There were plenty of beverages to choose from as well, the most popular being pop-top recyclable cans of Diet Snapple.

Yep, nobody personifies America quite like Barack Hussein Obama!

I remember an episode with R. Lee Ermy, a retired Marine Gunnery Sergent, in which he fired a .12 gage automatic shotgun. The recoil was so great that it knocked the crap out of a very experienced shooter. A man that has fired a wide varity of weapons. But this was his first firing of a .12 gage.

Having said that, with someone as skinny and feeble as Obozo is, firing a round of skeet would tear his sholder off. I wonder if he even knows how many shots are fired in a round of skeet. The correct answer is 100 for a full round.

( Just my opinion , but he is nauseating as a President of the U>S> ). How such an intolerant, ignorant, unprincipled person could be elected will be fodder for future generations of historians, if the U>S> still exists after his destructive policies are all in place. ).

How many fathers would say something this monunetally stupid? Honestly? Most fathers love to seen their sons engage in sports, including football.

If 0bama goes "skeet shooting" "all the time", I would suggest a Barbara Walters or Diane Sawyer ABC News special at Camp David so that we can see 0bama´s skills for real.

What a joke. I recently read somewhere that the First Family does not like Camp David--unlike most presidents, who enjoy the magnificent setting and freedom of movement it allows them.

#38, actually, R. Lee Ermey´s gunnery sergeant title is honorary. But he was a Marine, and a drill instructor, for many years. So, he´s certainly experienced with shooting.

I loved Drudge´s photo last night of Obama standing amid a bunch of sycophants, laughing. Looked like a real man´s man, the sort who would enjoy pursuits like skeet shooting.

The most respectable gun culture is here to stay with the highest standards and well earned confidence, the one defining culture (missing in all the other tyrannies) that makes us always different. Even our anti gun Hitlers, Feinstein & Obama are firmly affixed to the gun culture. It´s a lovely culture. Without it, we would be a desolate, wasting away culture biding our time til the next Stalin, Hitler or Mao.

Dear President Obama:
Some people do not believe you know how to shoot a shot gun. So here are a few pointers to prove them wrong.

The best way to grip the gun is to wrap your arms around the skinny end of the gun. Some people call it a barrel. Point it directly at your mid section because that thing will have quite a kick to it. Gently squeeze the trigger and make sure both barrels are cocked and loaded and watch those skeet fly to pieces.

Oh BTW Mr. President, You´re welcome.

There is absolutely nothing this character says that doesn´t have an ulterior motive. In addition it is in keeping with his habit of trying to have it both ways and talk out of both sides of his mouth. Skeet shooting? Perhaps this modest gun use will ´´evolve´´ to more substantial weapons, if required by politics.
e.g. ´´Sure fellow gun users, I don´t like the idea of giving up our weapons either, but we can and we must for the greater good and for the children.´´

The "good" guys and the "bad" guys will still have their guns. We will have to depend on the so called "good" guys to protect us from the "Bad" guys who will never give up their weapons without a fight. OK question, Who is "good" and who is "bad".

Last week, The Guardian and The Washington Post got their hands on a big story about the National Security Agency and its alleged connection to a handful of giant tech companies. The bombshell stories in both publications carried the by-lines of experienced reporters. The Guardian’s Glenn Greenwald, a well-known political commentator who also holds a law degree, has been covering national security issues for nearly a decade, and the Post’s Barton Gellman is a Pulitzer Prize winner who has a distinguished record covering privacy and security issues.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least: “There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.” Here is the entire context:

Iran is preparing to send 4,000 troops in to Syria to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the wake of America´s announcement it will be providing ´military aid´ to the country´s Muslim rebels. President Barack Obama made the pledge earlier this week after the U.S. claimed it found ´conclusive evidence´ Assad´s regime has used chemical weapons against the rebel forces--which includes the most extreme Sunni Islamists--and has called for Britain and France to back the move. While Britain hasn´t made a guarantee either way as yet, more than 350 Royal Marines are being sent to Jordan

Is Marco Rubio, R-Fla., getting played by Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.? During his interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl this morning, Rubio didn’t even seem to understand what that meant. “Are you being played by the Democrats?” asked Karl. “Is Chuck Schumer playing you?” “I don’t — I quite frankly, I don’t even know what that means,” Rubio replied. “Is he using you?” Karl continued. “Is he using you to try to accomplish something that the Democrats want and is not — not a conservative bill?” Rubio responded that immigration reform was a bi-partisan issue that “all Americans
