Barack Obama looks bitter, arrogant and
partisan as he begins his second term

Telegraph [UK], by Nile Gardiner

Original Article

The liberal New Republic, which is periodically described as the in-flight magazine on Air Force One for Democratic presidents, has just released the transcript of an interview with Barack Obama as he looks ahead to the next four years.[Snip]It paints a portrait of a president, in his own words, who appears deeply partisan, sneeringly dismissive of his political opponents, bitterly angry at his adversaries for standing in the way on issues such as the budget, and completely lacking in any humility. If this is Obama at the start of his second term, one can only imagine what he´ll be like

Comments:
Bitterly clinging to his policies and diktats, copied from those which have failed and are failing in the UK and Europe.

Not just him. His supporters are nasty and arrogant and hyperpartisan. I´ve never seen such poor winners. It goes beyond gloating into the downright rude. AND they are doing this in unison. How does that happen?

I skimmed the article in the New Republic and there seemed to be a great deal of bloviating (as usual). I can faintly hear the theme from ValJar that he just has not explained his agenda so that normal stupid Americans can understand it. Meanwhile the Obama for Advancing America Forward to Communism team is waiting in the wings to be unleashed. This W.H. seems to think that all it takes is the correct dose of Propaganda and all will be achieved. How rock bottom foolish is that?

Re: "Barack Obama’s imperial tone is badly out of tune with the pessimistic mood of the country, and does not augur well for the next four years."

The country´s pessimism will only going get worse as all of Obama´s first and second term policies and regulations reduce our living standards, eliminate jobs and create enormous resentment between those who receive welfare and those struggling to survive on their reduced paychecks. Perversely, more we decline domestically and internationally, the more that we will see and hear of the Obamas, stoking further resentment and pessimism. Today´s laughable story on Obama´s skeet shooting at Camp David will be followed by tales of his hunting exploits, his skinning of deer, his mountain climbing, Kenyan safaris and sky diving. He will surely be the most accomplished, most rugged bisexual to ever occupy the WH.

I´ll be in the minority with this view, but here goes: I think he´s increasingly bitter and hostile because he didn´t want to be re-elected. Lord knows he gave plenty of cues, offering up so many sound bites for the GOP to use against him that I could conclude only that he was either entirely clueless or was intentionally trying to get fired. I think it´s the latter. Being president is real work (not that he shows that) and people outside the kingdom of D.C. actually expect you have, you know, a plan and stuff. To constantly take a defensive tone, to pick issues that are instantly divisive ... yes, it´s arrogant, but it also suggests someone who´s saying, "Don´t you get it, people? I suck at this!" At least he may have stumbled on a way to eventually unite the country: make such stupid decisions and attacks that everyone, including all of Congress, ends up hating him by 2016.

President`s are supposed to have periodic physical examinations s prescribed by law. I`m curious if a psychological exam is included. Obama seems to hate people in general. Nobody with his mean streak an attitude would treat we Americans in this fashion.

In the New Republic article….”..The House Republican majority is made up mostly of members who are in sharply gerrymandered districts that are very safely Republican…”

Gerrymandered because the liberals have insisted that there be districts so heavily black that a black congressman was a certainty. That was originally because it was it was said by blacks they could only be represented by persons of their own color. Gerrymandered black districts result in ‘gerrymandered’ white districts by default.

The man has set himself up as god since he first entered the picture and has had the praises of 95% of the media. His life is a mockery against God. But I take tremendous comfort in the Bible passage: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap." I wait, O Lord, for your judgment against this abomination.

#15, I had similar thoughts. My conjecture was that the Mooch wanted Obama to go for a second term and he had had enough. That, I suspected, caused a tantrum resulting in that notoriously expensive European tour with her friends while Obama was left to celebrate his birthday with his friends. ("See? I don´t need you--I can have lunch with a king and queen whenever I feel like it.")

I agree with #15. He didn´t think he was going to win either. He thought he would be free at last free of his pretend marriage, free of the criticism he feels he shouldn´t be subject to from the right, free from having to act like he cares. He knows the gun thing is a no win for the Democrats. And now he is expressing his thoughts about football which is so ridiculous. He wants to get back with Reggie and have a big fat pension and armed bodyguards and he can whatever he wants. He´s mad as heck that he has to be president but who knows? He might be set free

And as to the Republicans, I watched Fox News Sunday this evening and on the subject of Hillary Clinton, the Republican could not even come out with the fact that she may have traveled miles and miles but she has accomplished very lithe in a world that is in flames as we speak. Yet all I heard was that she had done a wonderful job, etc. WHY are Republicans such fools? Remember when McCaine refused to use the middle name Hussein? When Romney went on and on about how Obama was such a nice man but out of his depth. HE IS NOT A NICE MAN except maybe to his family!

Obama is the product of a low IQ,low common sense electorate, who´s more interested in obama as a celebrity than president.

Unemployed liberals think it´s just a matter of time before Obama gets around to creating a dream job for them.In the meantime, they´ll just lounge around the folks house, eat their food and burn their electric.

I´d love to know how many parents can´t get their lazy assed kids out of the house to look for a job. The convenient excuse is there´s none out there.

Jobs have never been easy to find and employers aren´t going to knock on your door.

The left is laying the groundwork to write a new constitution in the next several years. If you want to know what it would look like read kenya´s new one which is pure utopianism.Of course it´s totally impracticable in a backward country like that but it exposes their mindset.

I blogged yesterday about this "segregated" Muslim event organised by the Islamic Society of the University of East London, due to happen tonight at UEL´s main lecture theatre on its Docklands campus. Much to my surprise, UEL immediately banned it from their campus. [Snip] UEL should be congratulated over this. As I pointed out, it has an "equality and diversity" policy. It didn´t know that the dinner organised by the Islamic society--which was to include a speech by the controversial anti-gay preacher Murtaza Khan--was segregated by sex and was providing a platform for an extremist. The university´s decision to pull the

Tony Blair´s religious charity has links to an Islamic extremist group being investigated by MI5 and MI6, it has been alleged. [Snip] The organisation has been declared a terrorist group in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and could be banned in Britain, despite insisting they do not have links to extremist factions. The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Watch, which has been looking into the group for 13 years, revealed that Dr Ismail Khudr Al-Shatti, an adviser to the Kuwaiti government and a member of Mr Blair’s advisory council, is a leading member of the Kuwaiti branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. the

Deep in the flat and featureless landscape of eastern Ukraine, it is all too possible that the outline of World War III is taking shape. Whipped up by the Kremlin propaganda machine and led by Russian military intelligence, armed men are erecting road blocks, storming police stations and ripping down the country’s flag. They are demolishing not just their own country — bankrupt, ill-run and beleaguered — but also the post-war order that has kept most of Europe and us, here in Britain, safe and free for decades. Vladimir Putin is striking at the heart of the West.

The Internal Revenue Service is considering a bold move to label perks like free lunch given to workers by companies as taxable. The agency wonders if freebies like haircuts and gym memberships are a way to compensate the highly skilled rather than just a way to jumpstart productivity. After all, argue proponents of such a tax, workers at Silicon Valley firms like Google and Facebook receive free meals from famously fancy in-house eateries every day.
