| The liberal New Republic, which is periodically described as the in-flight magazine on Air Force One for Democratic presidents, has just released the transcript of an interview with Barack Obama as he looks ahead to the next four years.[Snip]It paints a portrait of a president, in his own words, who appears deeply partisan, sneeringly dismissive of his political opponents, bitterly angry at his adversaries for standing in the way on issues such as the budget, and completely lacking in any humility. If this is Obama at the start of his second term, one can only imagine what he´ll be like

Comments: Bitterly clinging to his policies and diktats, copied from those which have failed and are failing in the UK and Europe.

I skimmed the article in the New Republic and there seemed to be a great deal of bloviating (as usual). I can faintly hear the theme from ValJar that he just has not explained his agenda so that normal stupid Americans can understand it. Meanwhile the Obama for Advancing America Forward to Communism team is waiting in the wings to be unleashed. This W.H. seems to think that all it takes is the correct dose of Propaganda and all will be achieved. How rock bottom foolish is that?

Re: "Barack Obama’s imperial tone is badly out of tune with the pessimistic mood of the country, and does not augur well for the next four years."
The country´s pessimism will only going get worse as all of Obama´s first and second term policies and regulations reduce our living standards, eliminate jobs and create enormous resentment between those who receive welfare and those struggling to survive on their reduced paychecks. Perversely, more we decline domestically and internationally, the more that we will see and hear of the Obamas, stoking further resentment and pessimism. Today´s laughable story on Obama´s skeet shooting at Camp David will be followed by tales of his hunting exploits, his skinning of deer, his mountain climbing, Kenyan safaris and sky diving. He will surely be the most accomplished, most rugged bisexual to ever occupy the WH.

I´ll be in the minority with this view, but here goes: I think he´s increasingly bitter and hostile because he didn´t want to be re-elected. Lord knows he gave plenty of cues, offering up so many sound bites for the GOP to use against him that I could conclude only that he was either entirely clueless or was intentionally trying to get fired. I think it´s the latter. Being president is real work (not that he shows that) and people outside the kingdom of D.C. actually expect you have, you know, a plan and stuff. To constantly take a defensive tone, to pick issues that are instantly divisive ... yes, it´s arrogant, but it also suggests someone who´s saying, "Don´t you get it, people? I suck at this!" At least he may have stumbled on a way to eventually unite the country: make such stupid decisions and attacks that everyone, including all of Congress, ends up hating him by 2016.

In the New Republic article….”..The House Republican majority is made up mostly of members who are in sharply gerrymandered districts that are very safely Republican…”
Gerrymandered because the liberals have insisted that there be districts so heavily black that a black congressman was a certainty. That was originally because it was it was said by blacks they could only be represented by persons of their own color. Gerrymandered black districts result in ‘gerrymandered’ white districts by default.

The man has set himself up as god since he first entered the picture and has had the praises of 95% of the media. His life is a mockery against God. But I take tremendous comfort in the Bible passage: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap." I wait, O Lord, for your judgment against this abomination.

#15, I had similar thoughts. My conjecture was that the Mooch wanted Obama to go for a second term and he had had enough. That, I suspected, caused a tantrum resulting in that notoriously expensive European tour with her friends while Obama was left to celebrate his birthday with his friends. ("See? I don´t need you--I can have lunch with a king and queen whenever I feel like it.")

Obama is the product of a low IQ,low common sense electorate, who´s more interested in obama as a celebrity than president.
Unemployed liberals think it´s just a matter of time before Obama gets around to creating a dream job for them.In the meantime, they´ll just lounge around the folks house, eat their food and burn their electric.
I´d love to know how many parents can´t get their lazy assed kids out of the house to look for a job. The convenient excuse is there´s none out there.
Jobs have never been easy to find and employers aren´t going to knock on your door.
The left is laying the groundwork to write a new constitution in the next several years. If you want to know what it would look like read kenya´s new one which is pure utopianism.Of course it´s totally impracticable in a backward country like that but it exposes their mindset.

David Cameron is planning new powers to muzzle Islamic hate preachers accused of provoking terrorist outrages such as the killing of soldier Lee Rigby. The Prime Minister wants to stop extremist clerics using schools, colleges, prisons and mosques to spread their ‘poison’ and is to head a new Tackling Extremism and Radicalisation Task Force (TERFOR) made up of senior Ministers, MI5, police and moderate religious leaders. The high-powered group will study a number of measures, including banning extremist clerics from being given public platforms to incite students, prisoners and other followers – and forcing mosque leaders to answer for ‘hate preachers’.

In addition to producing 787 Dreamliners at an ever-increasing rate and preparing to resume deliveries after a nearly five-month drought, the North Charleston plant played host to the company’s annual investor conference. The Sunday Telegraph can disclose that Michael Adebolajo was held by police close to the Somali border with a band of "radicalised" Muslim youths who wanted to join the notorious al-Shabaab group. He was deported to Britain after he appeared in court in Mombasa in November 2010. Two months previously the head of MI5 had warned that Britons were training in Somalia and it was "only a matter of time before we see terrorism on our streets inspired by those who are today fighting alongside al-Shabaab". It also emerged that the other suspect in the soldier’s murder, Michael Adebowale

A uniformed French soldier on anti-terrorist duties in Paris had his throat cut by a knife-wielding man tonight. The savage attack follows the murder of a British soldier by two men using weapons including knives and a meat cleaver. One of the suspects said they were acting in the name of Islam. Today there were fears that the Paris attack was a copy-cat crime and that a radical Muslim might once more be responsible. Barack Obama announced an end to America’s war on terror last week. In future, he declared, he would restrict the unmanned drone attacks that had been his own signature anti-terrorist initiative, and he would really, really make an effort to shut down the prison camp at Guantánamo Bay--as he had promised to do way back when he was running for president the first time. Presumably, this pronouncement was designed to win back the favour of the liberal media, which has been energetically disowning him ever since his administration staggered into the most spectacular series of Washington scandals since Watergate.

Cars were set alight in poor suburbs inhabited largely by immigrants, although the unrest was reportedly not as serious as on previous nights. The rioting also spread outside the capital for the first time on Friday, with youths torching vehicles and buildings in two towns. Mr Nasrallah said Hezbollah would stay in the conflict till the end. Syrian rebels in the besieged town of Qusair say they are under heavy bombardment from Hezbollah combatants. The town is close to the Lebanese border, a conduit for both the government and rebels to get weapons. On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. The portion of Interstate 5 in Washington that runs over the Skagit River collapsed on Thursday after a truck hit an overhead support structure, but Rep. Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.
