Rush Limbaugh And Fox News’
Influence On Public Debate

In a soon-to-be-released interview with The New Republic, President Obama reportedly laments the negative influence Fox News and Rush Limbaugh can have on the congressional debate over various pieces of legislation. The president told TNR editor Frank Foer and owner Chris Hughes that “One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shapes debates.” The media can either help break or uphold partisan gridlock, the president said, adding that “If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest,

Thats a bit one sided isn´t it Mr President? Is it alright for the left´s opinion talkers to spew their bile, but a conservative and a middle of the road news channel cannot.
I think this shows a "I am right and everyone who disagrees is wrong" attitude, sir.

Note Obama´s lack of details as to why these attacks by Rush are not justified. Fox should not be mentioned inthe same breath as Rush.

Obama is out of gas morally, bankrupt financially and morally and maxed out on what he can do mentally, with the media and with spending (like a rock star).

The President says “One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shapes debates.” Does he even realize what he has admitted here.

This is what we have been screaming all along ... the media does shape the debate, always has shaped the debate while constantly claiming to be impartial. The President has made it clear that he needs the media to shape the debate in his favor for his efforts to prevail. The likes of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, who present a different side to the debate, must be silenced ! Anyone who doesn´t agree with him must be silenced ! Chilling ! And the President has just come out and made that pronouncement. Are the sheep listening?

I have no doubt the king is upset. After all the low info voters are his base. Those of us who actually look for more balanced news are a threat. Remember the truth and facts are not the friends of the kingdom.

Fox News and Limbaugh must be really, really powerful. More powerful that the president and all the Democrats in the House and Senate.

FNC and RL can leap tall buildings in a single bound!

Obama wishes for the good old days.

You know, when the king could lift his hand and say, "Off with their heads!"

And his minions would quickly do the deed.

All hail King Obama! May his name be praised and his word become law! (Just practicing for the underground resistance.)

What kind of campaign did this man run?

It certainly wasn´t about detailing all the great things he has personally done for our nation...

No, it was all about running against Fox and Limbaugh. He ran a smear campaign with his willing accomplices in the media.

Where is all the hoopla over the death of Trayvon Martin these days? The media had it on 24/7 for months trying to gin up that it was a racially motivated hate crime.

And believe you me, Obama´s media drained as much as it could trying to create a black vs white story that played well into the hands of the dictator. Once re-elected, it has been put on the shelf.

Limbaugh is public enemy #1 to those folks, and trying to blame George W. Bush won´t fly anymore, so El Rushbo makes a ready target. Fox news is no longer a valid target with so many libs on panels to make them "fair and balanced" to the RINOs and only mildly conservative "conservatives".

If it were not for Limbaugh and Levin, there wouldn´t be anyone to give an opposing view. Hannity used to stand on principle, but he is slowly going over to the RINO side. When he pals around with idiots like Bob Beckel and Juan Williams, he quickly loses his convictions.

This is a calculated move the President to disarm any opposition. It´s part of a larger strategy to be very aggressive in turning as much public opinion against conservative views. This in part is the same thing that the Democrats are using in trying to turn a red Texas into a blue Texas. It´s not going to end and conservatives need to quit whining about it and take it straight on.

Proof that this president is a dyed in the wool Marxist/Communist. He detests a media that questions he or his party´s agenda. How long until witch hunts for republicans begin? How long until we are called out and shamed for daring to embrace INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM over collective cowering before the state?

"RUSH LIES, RUSH LIES, RUSH LIES!" the liberals claim over and again. And they monitor every minute of his show ten hours each week.

But they come up with a "lie" that they try to discredit him with only once in a great while and it always turns out to be something they took out of context or something Rush said as a joke.

I can give you lies from Obama on a daily if not an hourly basis. So the liberals can only find a Rush "lie" a couple of times a year? Examples please from lying liberals!

This won´t help Rush´s efforts to lower his profile.

Al Gore´s youngest daughter has gotten remarried under a historic tree in Santa Monica. Sarah Gore has a very casual outdoor service on Sunday morning outside a coffee shop with her famous father walking across a patch of grass that served as the makeshift aisle. Wearing a loose, off-white lace dress with bell sleeves, Sarah made her way towards her groom, realtor Patrick Maiani, who was waiting for her beside the outline of a heart in the shape of rose petals. The brief service was officiated by a female religious leader and attended by about a dozen invited guests. As a young reporter, I once expressed shock at how routinely and reflexively government officials lied to the press. A savvy newspaper vet who overheard me just smiled and told me not to take it personally. “Why shouldn’t they lie to you?” the late, great Murray Kempton asked. “They lie to themselves all the time.” His observation came back to me as I read about President Obama’s trip to Asia. He’s going, the White House says, to tell our allies face to face that America is committed more than ever to their security and prosperity. In ordinary times, the trip and

IRS employees who had been disciplined for tax and conduct issues were nonetheless rewarded with monetary awards or time off, according to a watchdog report released Tuesday. The report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration found that while for the most part the reward program for IRS workers complied with federal regulations, employees who had themselves failed to pay their federal taxes and had discipline problems were also rewarded. "While not prohibited, providing awards to employees who have been disciplined for failing to pay federal taxes appears to create a conflict with the IRS’s charge of ensuring the

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives

As he moves from lobbyists to the golf course, from press conferences to the tanning bed, he remains oblivious to all that is around him. He has power, incredible power, and yet to this day he has no understanding of the election that made it so. Moreover, all around him are astonishing opportunities for him to be an historic figure -- one who could and should be the man who did more than any other single person in turning back the red tide of Obama. It’s all there for Speaker of the House, and yet John Boehner manages to miss
