| In a soon-to-be-released interview with The New Republic, President Obama reportedly laments the negative influence Fox News and Rush Limbaugh can have on the congressional debate over various pieces of legislation. The president told TNR editor Frank Foer and owner Chris Hughes that “One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shapes debates.” The media can either help break or uphold partisan gridlock, the president said, adding that “If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest,

Thats a bit one sided isn´t it Mr President? Is it alright for the left´s opinion talkers to spew their bile, but a conservative and a middle of the road news channel cannot. I think this shows a "I am right and everyone who disagrees is wrong" attitude, sir.

Note Obama´s lack of details as to why these attacks by Rush are not justified. Fox should not be mentioned inthe same breath as Rush.
Obama is out of gas morally, bankrupt financially and morally and maxed out on what he can do mentally, with the media and with spending (like a rock star).

The President says “One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shapes debates.” Does he even realize what he has admitted here.
This is what we have been screaming all along ... the media does shape the debate, always has shaped the debate while constantly claiming to be impartial. The President has made it clear that he needs the media to shape the debate in his favor for his efforts to prevail. The likes of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, who present a different side to the debate, must be silenced ! Anyone who doesn´t agree with him must be silenced ! Chilling ! And the President has just come out and made that pronouncement. Are the sheep listening?

What kind of campaign did this man run?
It certainly wasn´t about detailing all the great things he has personally done for our nation...
No, it was all about running against Fox and Limbaugh. He ran a smear campaign with his willing accomplices in the media.
Where is all the hoopla over the death of Trayvon Martin these days? The media had it on 24/7 for months trying to gin up that it was a racially motivated hate crime.
And believe you me, Obama´s media drained as much as it could trying to create a black vs white story that played well into the hands of the dictator. Once re-elected, it has been put on the shelf.
Limbaugh is public enemy #1 to those folks, and trying to blame George W. Bush won´t fly anymore, so El Rushbo makes a ready target. Fox news is no longer a valid target with so many libs on panels to make them "fair and balanced" to the RINOs and only mildly conservative "conservatives".
If it were not for Limbaugh and Levin, there wouldn´t be anyone to give an opposing view. Hannity used to stand on principle, but he is slowly going over to the RINO side. When he pals around with idiots like Bob Beckel and Juan Williams, he quickly loses his convictions.

This is a calculated move the President to disarm any opposition. It´s part of a larger strategy to be very aggressive in turning as much public opinion against conservative views. This in part is the same thing that the Democrats are using in trying to turn a red Texas into a blue Texas. It´s not going to end and conservatives need to quit whining about it and take it straight on.

Proof that this president is a dyed in the wool Marxist/Communist. He detests a media that questions he or his party´s agenda. How long until witch hunts for republicans begin? "RUSH LIES, RUSH LIES, RUSH LIES!" the liberals claim over and again. And they monitor every minute of his show ten hours each week.
But they come up with a "lie" that they try to discredit him with only once in a great while and it always turns out to be something they took out of context or something Rush said as a joke.
I can give you lies from Obama on a daily if not an hourly basis. So the liberals can only find a Rush "lie" a couple of times a year? Examples please from lying liberals!

Piled high amid a trail of destruction, these tragic horses are among more than 100 thought to have been killed in the Oklahoma tornado. As well as human lives that were lost, farms around the suburb of Moore took a direct hit from the giant twister which swept up everything in its path with winds of more than 200mph and the power of up to 600 nuclear bombs. Witnesses who cowered in terror described seeing ´horses and stuff flying around everywhere´ and returning to find ´scorched earth´ and crumpled buildings. They came across distressing scenes of horses

A mother-of-two described tonight how she put her own life on the line by trying to persuade the soldier’s murderers to hand over their weapons. Cub scout leader Ingrid Loyau-Kennett selflessly engaged the terrorists in conversation and kept her nerve as one of them told her: “We want to start a war in London tonight.” Mrs Loyau-Kennett, 48, from Cornwall, was one of the first people on the scene after the two Islamic extremists butchered a soldier in Woolwich, south east London. She was photographed by onlookers confronting one of the attackers who was holding a bloodied knife.

In between all the political brush fires that have engulfed the White House in recent days, President Obama and wife Michelle Obama have still managed time for vacation planning. The nation’s first family is looking to cool their jets this summer at a house in Farm Neck on Martha’s Vineyard, according to the Boston Globe. Obama and his family are no stranger to Martha’s Vineyard, having made three previous summer visits to Blue Heron Farm in Chilmark. They skipped going there last summer, and their favorite Blue Heron Farm house might not be available anymore.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
