| This week, the administration that rode to a second term decrying a fictitious war on women by the opposition, opened real fronts on the war on women, perpetuating feminism´s worst inconsistencies through its contradictory programs and in the words and deeds of the avatar of these inconsistencies, Hillary Clinton, the "Athena" of low information women voters. Only CBS reporter Sheryl Attkisson by her persistence and competence keeps me from burying my head in shame.

`There´s at least a war coming on female smokers when they get hit with a 50% surtax on health insurance premiums next year. If they can super tax smokers, they could make obese people pay more also.

Clarice has exactly the right analysis. Women are to be treated the same as men but always with special sensitivity to their unique nature and differences. If you follow through on that you would arrive back at the age of chivalry!

Sheryl Attkinson´s Benghazi questions, as quoted by Clarice, are great. I have a few of my own, and I bet you all do too. Where, pray tell, were our Republican Congressmen and Senators? Where?!

First, calling Hillary the Athena of the low information voter is genuinely brilliant. Second, I grimly note the quote from the Marine vet in the article. My heart aches for him. Were I he, I would wonder why I bothered loving my country in the first place. All the real men and real women have been abandoned. it´s tragic. what a great Republic we once were.

Ditto, #3. One would hope that Sheryl Attkisson has plenty of insurance and lots of friends close-by. Sounds like she could be a candidate for arkancide. Hillary has a peculiar way of bearing a grudge.

#3 We are witnessing the "Dominate" phase of the Roman Empire. All politicians kneel before our Diocletian and seek to kiss the crease of his trousers. A little overstated but not by much.

In the replies after the article there is a long discussion among the posters about the problems of putting women in combat. Zippy, Leon and Valjar know all about the problems and that is exactly why they are proceeding down this path - it´s all part of their plan to ultimately destroy our military. But to what end? Sometimes I think that all of this is about zippy wanting to be the one to usher in the 12th Imam after the world is covered in blood from Islamic jihad.

In the last month I´ve become personally aware of another front in Obama´s War on Women, the lack of Estratest (hormone replacement pills that combine estrogen and testosterone.)
Remember all the hoopla about athletes using steroids? Well, methotestosterone has been declared a Class III controlled substance. It is the ingredient used in Estratest. Estratest used to have a waiver, but that was removed in the latest round of legislation. The manufacturers (the 3 left of 8 original makers) are no longer distributing Estratest because they now have to comply with federal DEA rules on controlled substances. The three pharmacies in my town have been out of Estratest since January 5th. They don´t expect delivery until mid-March. It’s taken several weeks for us to research and find out what was going on. I finally got an injection of the stuff last Thursday.
An "unintended" consequence to Obamacare and the socialists getting their faces into every aspect of life? Not too smart to have millions of postmenopausal women go without their hormone replacement therapy.

Don´t miss the UPDATE:
"UPDATE: Right on cue, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy illustrates the incoherent demands of Democratic women for combat role equality AND special treatment. On Friday, McCarthy told Piers Morgan that while she supports women in combat, they shouldn´t be required to use those nasty and evil assault rifles -- or, presumably, the even nastier machine guns, grenade launchers, mortars, and heavy artillery pieces. She also mades it clear that she is clueless about what arms are rifles: "CAROLYN MCCARTHY: I will tell you, if you talk to professionals, hunters and certainly sportsmen, they´ll tell you [an AR-15 is] not the gun to use. A rifle is more accurate."

War on Women/ obama literally wants women at the front lines to be killed. (he won´t let them shoot at the enemy first just as he restricts men from doing)

Obama continues his War on America. Women are to be masculinized.Just as Betty Friedan and her fellow communists destroyed the American family and eliminated the divorce laws to protect the homemaker and mother- they intend to destroy the will of the American military by ensuring that as that marine states -they cannot be expected to treat women in their personal live any differently. Remember when the feminazis would attack any man who would have the effrontery to open a door for a woman? Now young women are being subjected to serialmhookups, paying their way and sexually transmitted diseases rendering them sterile. Sandra Fluke is their spokeswoman. 3000 a year doctor bill- how many abortions? Birth control pills are $108 per year. How many more pregnancies during deployments or to avoid deployment?

The decision makers are ignoring studies which indicate that having women in combat isn´t the best idea. But think about it, the CIC´s wife is bigger than he is and he has worn mom jeans and ridden a women´s bicycle, so from his perspective, women are suited for the military. Some of the women in 0´s administration look large and macho enough to be well suited for combat -- Napolitano and his Supreme Court appointees come to mind.
Quite frankly, I do not know how a 105 pound woman will handle military weapons or survive Marine Corps basic training. Some women cannot handle larger than a .22 or .25 pistol.

Michelle Obama has been capitalizing on her status as a descendant of slaves. Her latest junket to Ireland shows she is definitely enjoying the 21st-century benefits of the transatlantic slave trade her radical friends in Chicago refer to as "genocide" by white Americans. According to the First Couple´s pals, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Rahm Emanuel, and Dr. Conrad W. Worrill of Northeastern University, white Americans should monetarily compensate black Americans for past slavery.

The latest polls show that President Obama´s approval ratings are in free fall like a hot air balloon with the fire extinguished; his approval rating has declined eight percentage points over the past month. CNN reporter Chris Cuomo described the decline as "dropping like a stone." Lara Brown of U.S. News and World Report, declared, "The Obama presidency becomes more Grant than Lincoln every day." Even his standing as a "leader" has shown a six-percentage-point drop among those who think he is a decisive and strong leader. Worse, CNN reports that half of the public no longer trust the president

I have always believed that regardless of the laws of a nation, the social fabric that binds it is woven of mutual trust between the people and their private and governmental institutions. Once that fabric is weakened, the dangers to an ordered society are extreme. This week, the holes in the U.S. social fabric are manifest, and they are caused by the administration´s ever-expanding lawlessness.. The statements by the high-tech self-exile Snowden set off alarms even among those who are willing to repose their confidence in the general integrity of our intelligence services.

Greg Gutfeld opened the June 6th broadcast of The Five by talking about the IRS scandal and asking "What can we do as Americans right now? This seems like a golden opportunity to go after a bloated bureaucracy, clean it out and create something." The answer is to spark a national protest demanding limited government by doing 3 things: First, unhide our taxes. Even the 47% who don´t pay federal income tax pay taxes. During the 2012 Presidential campaign, Mitt Romney said "There are 47% of the people who will vote for the president, no matter what..."

With serious and demonstrable charges of administration wrongdoing popping up every day, conservatives are rightfully angry at the desultory treatment they get from the media. At Just One Minute, the poster known as "daddy" summarizes that feeling well: Worth mentioning how the NY Times and the WaPo and Andrea Mitchell and ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN etc, were all so interested in Sarah Palin´s Emails, that they recruited volunteers across the nation to help them pore thru them. Yet when Lisa Jackson specifically uses false email aliases like "Richard Windsor" (unethically and probably illegally) to conduct Government business, and Sebelius today is discovered

Eric Holder -- Obama´s Attorney General -- should be impeached by the Republican House of Representatives. Without a doubt, Holder´s obvious perjury in lying to Congress is the most serious offense. But to understand one of Holder´s underlying offenses (in a long string), one must know the difference between "good law" and "bad law." Under the letter of the law, the search warrant for Fox News reporter James Rosen´s emails appears proper. But the Attorney General defied U.S. Supreme Court precedents.

As the late Senator Daniel Moynihan reportedly said, "[e]veryone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." The commentary on the George Zimmerman case, I´ve noticed, gets edgy when those who know the facts argue with those who venture opinions. The facts that follow are the ones with which both the defense and the prosecutor must contend. Late Sunday night, February 26, 2012, George Zimmerman sat down in front of Sanford Police Department (SPD) detectives and wrote out in longhand his own account of the shocking incident that had just left him rattled and bloody.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Celebrity chef Paula Deen admitted in a recorded deposition to telling racist jokes, using the N-word, and planning a slavery-themed wedding, according to multiple reports. The May 17 deposition where she made the alleged admissions is part of a $1.2 million lawsuit brought by Lisa Jackson, the former manager of a Savannah, Georgia, restaurant run by Deen and her brother Bubba Hiers. Jackson alleges in the suit that Deen used the N-word at the restaurant and that Hiers sexually harassed her. According to the reports, in the deposition, Deen replied “Yes, of course,”

This is the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of How Democracies Perish, an analysis of the spread of world communism by Jean-François Revel, one of freedom´s most serious French defenders since Tocqueville. At the heart of this work, Revel details "The Tools of Communist Expansion," among which the most relevant for understanding our current situation comes in Chapter 16, "Ideological Warfare and Disinformation." The profound simplicity of Revel´s nuts and bolts account of totalitarianism´s Cold War advance, far from being obsolete
