| This week, the Entity Formerly Known As The Obama Campaign transformed itself into a lobbying/grassroots activist group, intending on leveraging its microtargeting and marketing success into generating a groundswell of support for Obama’s political agenda. Their first project — frighten legislators into backing Obama’s gun-control proposals by touching off a deluge of phone calls and communications to Capitol Hill offices. So far, though, the genius of the campaign seems to be somewhat lacking, according to Buzzfeed’s John Stanton (via Instapundit): Call in campaigns can be a powerful tool in lobbying Congress:

People in congress knows when there´s an astroturf movement going on when they all of a sudden get flooded with phone calls.
Obama and Holder are persecuting average citizens on the assumption of crime,when no real crime has been committed.Most of the crime in this country are committed by liberal base members,so Holder really doesn´t have much to do with himself.
The reason Obama still has to use his campaign machine is nobody accepts his policies at face value,other than people who live off the government in one form or another.Half this country doesn´t even exist to Obama.

Jim Messina claims that there are 20 million Obama for Action to Change America into a communist state followers. However, how loyal can they be since they have been so cheaply purchased? I saw the bowl of snacks that were the extent of the reward for obamaites who traveled to "Boomtown" for the inaugural ball held for peons only. The picture of the bowl of peanuts and crackers for the "little people" says it all. Truly pathetic.

Last Thursday, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) started a Twitter prairie fire with his call for people to describe #ObamacareInThreeWords. (My contribution was “Sorry, Doctor retired.”) (Snip) The White House, never shy to jump into social media, responded with a flurry of tweets, including “It’s. The. I first saw the headline early Tuesday on Real Clear Politics, a political news site where I generally start my morning. It´s not where I expect to see a story on breast cancer. Then I checked my e-mail messages -- they all seemed to be about Angelina Jolie´s op-ed. Students in my undergraduate class wanted to discuss it in our next session. Colleagues expressed concern and wondered what the right response was. People I don´t even know sent e-mails. Just when you think the news surrounding Obamagate cannot get any worse, it does. Some say U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s days on the job are numbered and that it’s just a matter of when he’ll be forced to resign. While I’ll not shed a tear over Holder’s departure, one of the replacement names being floated has me reaching for tissues: Gov. Deval Patrick. Patrick has denied he’s interested — but the job isn’t on offer yet. If it is, President Obama should not select him nor should he be confirmed by the Senate for a plethora of reasons.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
