| None of his fellow solons was impolite enough yesterday to ask U.S. Sen. John Forbes Kerry the only question anybody really wants him to answer. “Senator, are you really worth $193 million?” Secretary of state? Who cares. I want to know how he got all that dough, and please, no jokes about how he made it the old-fashioned way, he married it. Whatever happened to prenups? I’d always heard Mama T gave him a couple Old Masters oil paintings or some other kind of art worth maybe $10 million so he wouldn’t feel like what he is,

Howie never fails to entertain and to open old wounds. Kerry has done quite a job of fooling enough people into believing that he is a competent senator. About the only qualification he can claim is nice hair - if it´s real.

I don´t think he should be confirmed until he pays his back taxes. He owes taxes on his yacht which I don´t think he paid for with his Senate salary. Ask him about his medals which he threw away. Please ask him anything. Don´t just sit there praising him. It makes them all look bad. Confirmation hearings have become a Farce unless of course, they are Borking a Republican.

I find it interesting that for the last several summers, buried in a cape cod newspaper, are pictures of him partying at bars with teenage girls. Not that that means anything and if teresa thinks that´s ok, what else matters? But it does show the intellectual level he seeks out and is comfortable with.

I heard he was worth $207 million OF HIS OWN and wondered the very same thing. Where´d it come from? Isn´t it amazing that people get elected, go to DC and by golly, they´re millionaire$! Can you say lobbyist payoffs and God only knows what else. I also find it amazing that Romney only has $170 million and look at the beating he took for being a 1%´er. When are they going to start on Jon Cary with all his ill gotten gains. At least we´re pretty sure where Romney´s came from, and it wasn´t from his rich father.
I think this guy doesn´t have a clue what he´s in for when he becomes SOS. In fact, I heard hecklers already at his speech yesterday.

When a known traitor skates through congressional hearings to become a cabinet member, you know that this country is truly over.
I find myself pulling away from everything that´s happening these days, even to the point of spending a lot less time here on Lucianne. I no longer want to know or to care. I only want to live out my remaining years with my family, surviving as best we can and taking what little joy we can still find in what was once a magnificent country.

It must be George W. Bush’s fault. Everything else is. The moonbats’ verdict is in. Barack Obama couldn’t possibly have done all those terrible things the vast right-wing conspiracy is accusing him of. And they’re not scandals, either. Obama’s troubles are merely “controversies” or, to use Dear Leader’s own phrase, a sideshow. Scandals only happen to Republicans, just like Deval Patrick didn’t go on a junket to Ireland. It was a “trade mission.” Democrats never make mistakes either — “mistakes were made,” in the passive voice.

Jay Carney insists Benghazi, Libya, is not a scandal, but then he doesn’t admit to having misled the media about the origin of the attacks. The administration now tells CBS News, “We’re portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots. WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate."
