Whoever coined the term ´to the victor goes the spoils´ did not have President Barack Obama´s official inauguration party in mind. They knocked on doors for him and helped him win re-election, but when Obama supporters put on their tuxedos and ball gowns to celebrate the start of his second term in office, they feasted on pretzels, peanuts and Cheez-its. ´This is the food? I´m not too thrilled about it. It´s for the birds,´ said Ben Shelly, who helped mobilize support for Obama on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. Dancing was also difficult: it was much too crowded in
Comments: I know a laugh is not an intelligent comment. How about a guffaw, followed by a snort?
I am waiting for the day (and may have a longggggg wait) when the frenzied Obama supporters start to recognize that though THEIR lives have changed and they will be taxed into the ground, regulated to a T and Obamacared into a facsimile of Motor Vehicle when they need a Dr, Obama is wearing Brioni suits, using Air Force I as his personal taxi (at $100,000 and hour, why NOT go back to Hawaii for a day or so) and he and his are feasting on Kobi beef and taking multiple, multiple vacations.......a kingly example of do as I say, not as I do. Will they ever grasp, also, that what he says with such energy is in direct opposition as to what he does: e.g. the economy is recovering fast and the world is at peace. They really are fools.

Ummm, yeah. Not feeling bad for the guy from the Navajo Reservation. My parents´ live in the Southern end (the tax paying part) of Apache County Arizona. Apache County is ruled by all Navajos, who drive expensive taxpayer funded SUV´s. At the 4th of July parade this year, the Sheriff´s office showcased an Assault vehicle that had to cost in the millions.(Nothing scary about that...) The Navajo Nation tuurns out HUGE in every election to vote themselves more government goodies. "Sovereign Nation" M.A.
My parents´ and every one else´s taxes go up every year, and receive NO service from even the sheriff´s office. So buddy, enjoy your Cheez Its,it´s taxpayer funded just like everything else you vote for yourself.

Sorry for the double post. Ben Shelly, the Navajo Nation President is about to lose the biggest employer of Navajos. Obama´s EPA has declared war on coal fired energy plants. The Navajo Generating Station in Page, AZ is about to be forced to shut down by the EPA. The plant is almost all Navajo employees. The Navajos also supply most of the coal for this plant and others in the area. And this guy delivered votes to Obama, his people, already the poorest in the nation are about to lose jobs, and he´s complaining about Cheez Its.
Perhaps we can institute the Order of the Cheez-it here at L.com. It could be awarded to anyone who goes above and beyond in service to the Obamas. The retiree who donated $250,000 to the Democrats should get the first one (see #20).
Ah yes, the free lunch - cheez-its, pretzels and peanuts. Peanuts to represent the size brain of the average Zippy voter, pretzels to represent the truth that Zippy speaks and cheez-its, well cake costs money.
Regarding the comment by the immigrant from India who supported Obama because of immigrant rights: when have legal immigrants from India ever had trouble coming to the US? What was going on this year with even Asians (another group which seems to have been able to immigrate legally here for years) going for Obama because of immigration policy? More groups splintered off through Obama´s and MSM tactics of divisiveness and fear.

You know, I suppose I should feel sorry for these fools, but I don´t. They drank the kool-aid that the ´Bamster was going to take care of them. Now that they have served their purpose, they need to disappear from public view.
Thje good news is, all those commie slugs were hit in the head, fed Cheez-its, crap nobody would serve, were being told their usefulness is at an end. Hopefully, there will be a lot of drone worker bitterness. A few beginning to see the horrifying light of the ruin they have caused.
...even when idiot democrats and moron obamavoters realize they´ve been used...they do not care...after carville and begala got clinton elected they were dumped into the public bleachers for the inaugoration and excluded from the big wig partys...but remained loyal...liberals have no core values, character or moral soul and no where to go except the democratic party.
Those are the only things you´ll be able to afford post tax increases. They were played for the fools they are. The trough is already emptying. What gets me is that this is in the foreign press. I´d be happier knowing our LSM carried it. Crickets......
Those big, beady, reptilian eyes glaring up from the water surface? They´re not just looking at you. They´re thinking it over. American alligators, and their cousin Indian marsh crocodiles, apparently have figured out that if they balance twigs on their snouts, wading birds will try to snatch them for nests. For the quick-snapping gator, that´s free lunch. In other words, the beast with a brain the size of a bean knows how to use it. That could make a person think twice about trying to outwit a "dumb" gator in Lowcountry waters. A recently released study--published in Ethology, Ecology and
Nelson Mandela’s memorial service and his funeral on Sunday may not produce the biggest gatherings ever in Africa. [Snip] A barnstormer of an address can be expected from President Obama – who has said the battle against apartheid sparked his first political activities. But what a logistical and security nightmare it will be. The public won’t need any accreditation to get into the stadium. And someone is going to have to do a very deft seating plan--David Cameron will not want to be sitting too close to Raúl Castro and Robert Mugabe. President Hassan Rouhani of Iran may finally be
Eight of America’s biggest internet companies, which include Google and Apple, have joined forces and written to President Obama expressing concern at bulk data collection in the US and its implications for the integrity of the internet and the privacy of the citizen. This is an important matter for the UK as well. The Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament (ISC), which I chair, announced recently that we will be conducting a full inquiry into the intelligence aspects of privacy and security in Britain. We will, in the next few days, be inviting written submissions of evidence both from ministers
BlackRock, the world’s biggest investor, has warned that central banks are poised to tighten monetary policy in the Anglo-Saxon countries and China, advising clients to be ready to pull out of global stock markets at any sign of serious trouble. “2014 is the year to squeeze more juice out of risk assets. But investors should be ready to discard the fruit when it starts running dry,” said Ewen Cameron Watt, chief strategist for the BlackRock Investment Institute. The group said in its 2014 Investment Outlook that investors have “jumped on the momentum train, effectively betting yesterday’s strategy will win again tomorrow”,
An Islamist fanatic has told the family of Drummer Lee Rigby he had no regrets about killing him because he was “a soldier” himself. Michael Adebolajo, 28, told a court he would “never regret obeying the command of Allah” and that his only disappointment was that the police did not shoot him dead. [Snip] With Fusilier Rigby’s family sitting feet away in the Old Bailey, Adebolajo denied that the 25-year-old’s death was murder, because Muslims were “at war” with the British people. The soldier’s widow, Rebecca Rigby, left the court in tears as Adebolajo told the jury that Fusilier Rigby
GOOSE CREEK--Navy wife Cleo Lott relies on the Weapons Station commissary to feed her family of four. It´s one of the most coveted perks that goes with being part of the military. And that´s why news that the Pentagon is looking at closing all of its stateside commissaries has her a little rattled. [Snip] "Even though the big chain stores say they have deals and savings, it doesn´t compare to the commissary," she added. "Makes me wonder what will the government want to take away next?" When word broke last week that the Defense Commissary Agency was asked by the Department of Defense to look at how to shutter
Volunteer fire departments all across the U.S. could find themselves out of money and unable to operate unless Congress or the Obama Administration exempts them from the Affordable Care Act. ´I thought the kinks were worked out of Obamacare at the first of the month, Central Florida volunteer firefighter Carl Fabrizi told Sunshine State News. ´Man, oh, man, this could potentially destroy some real good companies in Florida.´ The U.S. Department of Labor takes the term ´volunteer´ literally, but the IRS says volunteer firefighters are technically employees if they´re on the job more than 30 hours per week, making them
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
A veteran Washington adviser who has worked for four Presidents on both sides of the political aisle said that the stunning Government Accountability Report report that found President Barack Obama has not had a one-on-one meeting with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius since the passage of Obamacare over three years ago is an indictment of the entire White House operation and shows that the Obama administration has bordered on "malfeasance." "I have no doubt the White House is right, that Secretary Sebelius was in several group meetings with the president about health care," Gergen caveated, "but the whole
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? In an interview with Playboy, Ben Affleck said, "When I watch a guy [on film] I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him": PLAYBOY: You developed a political profile campaigning for presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. How did that come about? AFFLECK: I grew up in a house with a mother who was a teacher and a Freedom Rider—very left-wing Democrats living in a heterogeneous working-class neighborhood. I picked up a lot of those values there, and I
