Obama supporters served unglamorous

Whoever coined the term ´to the victor goes the spoils´ did not have President Barack Obama´s official inauguration party in mind. They knocked on doors for him and helped him win re-election, but when Obama supporters put on their tuxedos and ball gowns to celebrate the start of his second term in office, they feasted on pretzels, peanuts and Cheez-its. ´This is the food? I´m not too thrilled about it. It´s for the birds,´ said Ben Shelly, who helped mobilize support for Obama on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. Dancing was also difficult: it was much too crowded in

I am waiting for the day (and may have a longggggg wait) when the frenzied Obama supporters start to recognize that though THEIR lives have changed and they will be taxed into the ground, regulated to a T and Obamacared into a facsimile of Motor Vehicle when they need a Dr, Obama is wearing Brioni suits, using Air Force I as his personal taxi (at $100,000 and hour, why NOT go back to Hawaii for a day or so) and he and his are feasting on Kobi beef and taking multiple, multiple vacations.......a kingly example of do as I say, not as I do. Will they ever grasp, also, that what he says with such energy is in direct opposition as to what he does: e.g. the economy is recovering fast and the world is at peace. They really are fools.

Ummm, yeah. Not feeling bad for the guy from the Navajo Reservation. My parents´ live in the Southern end (the tax paying part) of Apache County Arizona. Apache County is ruled by all Navajos, who drive expensive taxpayer funded SUV´s. At the 4th of July parade this year, the Sheriff´s office showcased an Assault vehicle that had to cost in the millions.(Nothing scary about that...) The Navajo Nation tuurns out HUGE in every election to vote themselves more government goodies. "Sovereign Nation" M.A.

My parents´ and every one else´s taxes go up every year, and receive NO service from even the sheriff´s office. So buddy, enjoy your Cheez Its,it´s taxpayer funded just like everything else you vote for yourself.

Sorry for the double post. Ben Shelly, the Navajo Nation President is about to lose the biggest employer of Navajos. Obama´s EPA has declared war on coal fired energy plants. The Navajo Generating Station in Page, AZ is about to be forced to shut down by the EPA. The plant is almost all Navajo employees. The Navajos also supply most of the coal for this plant and others in the area. And this guy delivered votes to Obama, his people, already the poorest in the nation are about to lose jobs, and he´s complaining about Cheez Its.

Perhaps we can institute the Order of the Cheez-it here at L.com. It could be awarded to anyone who goes above and beyond in service to the Obamas. The retiree who donated $250,000 to the Democrats should get the first one (see #20).

Regarding the comment by the immigrant from India who supported Obama because of immigrant rights: when have legal immigrants from India ever had trouble coming to the US? What was going on this year with even Asians (another group which seems to have been able to immigrate legally here for years) going for Obama because of immigration policy? More groups splintered off through Obama´s and MSM tactics of divisiveness and fear.

The irony coupled with the patheticness (word?) is that those of us who have always known about what BO and his ilk are about find this as no surprise and never surprised by the depths he will stoop.

I imagine he and MO are laughing all the way to the bank with the 1 billion dollars they raised off of white guilt, limousine liberal celebrities and plantation blacks, lock, stock and barrel voters.

BO is probably whispering to MO while they are dancing, "Baby, wha fools they be...wheez got the money, the powa and four mo years of whatever we want...let the champagne flow and the vacays roll".

In four years, all we will be able to afford is govnmnt cheeze and generic brand pretzels.

A pregnant journalist is recovering in hospital today after a pro-Kremlin political leader in Russia told two male aides to ´violently rape´ her at a press conference. Nationalist Vladimir Zhironovsky launched his extraordinary tirade after reporter Stella Dubovitskaya asked him an innocuous question about sanctions against Ukraine. The founder of the far right Liberal Democratic Party began shouting wildly, before suddenly manhandling two young male aides towards the pregnant mother-of-one. He then shouted to them: ´When I say, you run to her and violently rape her.´ The parliamentary reporter, who is six months pregnant, is now being treated in hospital

Immortalised in Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s poem about the “valley of death”, the Charge of the Light Brigade is remembered as one of the most glorious defeats in British history. The documents overturn much of the established wisdom of the battle and provide clues as to how the calamitous attack, during the Battle of Balaclava, in the Crimean War, came to be accidentally launched. [Snip] The charge saw the light cavalry mount an assault into a valley flanked, on three sides, by Russians. Lord Raglan, overall commander of the British forces, had intended to send the Light Brigade to pursue and

What stops the Earth from looking like Pluto is energy from the Sun. The quantity and type of energy coming from the Sun varies over cycles that range up to 1,500 years long. The cycle we can see with our own eyes, in our own lifetimes, is the sunspot cycle that is normally eleven years long. Of all the many absurdities of the great climate change non-crisis which has been pointlessly obsessing our planet this last three or four decades, surely the most egregious is this: global warming is good. No really, it is. As a few bold heretics--such as Australian geologist Ian Plimer in his book Heaven And Earth--have long been trying to tell anyone prepared to listen, the human species is designed for warmth not cold. Ice ages are something we should naturally fear; warming periods are something which for which we should yearn. All the historical evidence confirms this--that periods of warming

This portrait of the Queen, taken by celebrated British photographer David Bailey CBE, was released today ahead of the occasion. At least six Birmingham schools accused of harbouring a Trojan horse plot run by Muslim fundamentalists will be placed under special measures by Ofsted. The action is understandable. The unsubtle attempts to insert Islamist ideas--representing an extremist, politicised form of Islam--into the curriculum of those schools makes for frightening reading. Equally unsettling was the liberal establishment’s failure to correct it. According to a special report by the Education Funding Agency, radical Muslims have tried to take control of teaching by first taking control of school governorships. That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan
