Obama Golfed in Hawaii
with Former Rezko Crony

White House Dossier, by Keith Koffler

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 1/11/2013 9:12:16 PM

While on vacation in Hawaii this month, President Obama played golf with Allison Davis, a former business partner of Tony Rezko who also helped give Obama his start in the legal profession. Rezko is the former Obama associate and fundraiser who was convicted of corruption and fraud and currently sits in prison. Davis, who is male, partnered with Rezko on a series of government-funded low and mixed income housing development projects in Chicago. While Davis himself has never been charged with wrongdoing, a number of the projects were high-priced failures that resulted in poor living conditions for residents.

Comments:
Link embedded in article goes to 2008 expose in Boston Globe on one of the most "egregious" of these projects... Dig around - ValJar´s probably in there somewhere.

Sounds like the sleazy type that Obama prefers.

I just knew they flew the Nesbitts to Hawaii with them. Were the Whittakers there too?

They take these Chicago pals everywhere, and we pay for all their expenses. Guess they have no compunction about being part of the 7 million dollar taxpayer funded vacation in Paradise.

Birds of a feather flock together, but I don´t see why we have to pay for them.

Where is the list of tag alongs for this vacation ?

The culture of big city slumlords is just one of the ways liberals cash in on poverty programs. They get government money for housing developments, then cash in on the steady stream of HUD paying the residents rent.
The liberals are masking this racket calling them "public/private" developments, ignoring the fact the private aspect is cashing in on public funding.

You really have to be an idiot to think people in the same housing units, where one pays their own rent, while the government pays the other people´s is going to work.So it all evolves into a poverty only housing unit. The kickbacks in these schemes are legendary and ripe for corruption.

There was a corrupt DC area rep.who took over $200,000 in bribes from a grocery chain to get zoning laws changed and he beat the rap saying the bribes were consulting fees.

HUD Housing is ALWAYS a corrupt politically connected contractor and financier´s friend.

In Phila. they tore down over 100 federal period 150 year old brick and marble fronted homes to build poor quality white wooden prairie style ones with large suburban yards .......... just to get the construction money as they had taken most of the properties by ´eminent domain´ and other threats. {$200,--- plus per house, all govt money]

They could have updated the older homes for lass than $50,--- each ........... also they tore down 3 to 6 houses for each new one due to the LARGE YARDS.[no reclamation of marble steps, facades or valuable bricks]

The Reality company that orchestrated getting any previous homeowners and renters out used unscrupulous tactics and sold the ´new. houses for $2,--- down to politically connected friends as investments.

I think the "former" in the headline is perhaps wrong. One can be a *former* business associate and a *current* crony.

While "Allison" is a feminine name, most of us were pretty sure that it was a man . He never golfs with women. In fact, I´m not so sure he´s ever done anything with women.

Cincinnati agent giving

CINCINNATI, OH - The claim that the ongoing IRS scandal is limited to low level employees is falling apart. The six Cincinnati workers we have identified, who sent scrutinizing letters to conservative groups with words including "patriot, liberty, tea party or 9-12" in their names are Mitchel Steele, Carly Young, Joseph Herr, Stephen Seok, Liz Hofacre and a woman identified only as Ms. Richards. (Snip) Because all six of our IRS workers have different individual and territory managers, Cindy Thomas is one manager they all have common.

We can now officially call the Obama administration besieged. One of President Obama´s underlings is set to plead her Fifth Amendment Right against self-incrimination in the burgeoning IRS scandal. The Los Angeles Times broke the story: Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won´t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening - or why she didn´t disclose it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.

How Apple scores
its lower tax bill
CNN Money, by Jeanne Sahadi    Original Article

Apple is one of America´s most profitable companies. And it pays a substantial income tax bill to the U.S. government -- by its own account, $6 billion in 2012 and an estimated $7 billion this year. But many tax experts and lawmakers say Apple´s tax bill should be bigger. A lot bigger. The concern is that Apple (Snip), while complying with U.S. laws, is nevertheless taking advantage of loopholes in the tax code to shift a substantial amount of income to offshore subsidiaries in low-tax countries. The result is billions of dollars in profits every year that go untaxed.

You almost have to admire Carl Levin´s timing. Amid a furor over politicized IRS tax enforcement, the Michigan Democrat on Tuesday tried to change the subject to a hardy Washington perennial—corporate tax loopholes. Too bad his designated business pinata, Apple, AAPL -0.74% demonstrates instead the insanity of the tax code that Mr. Levin has done so much to write. Mr. Levin unveiled the results of his months-long investigation into Apple´s corporate taxes (Snip)What Mr. Levin did not do was present any evidence of anything illegal or even inappropriate. He did prove that Apple has smart accountants and tax lawyers.

WASHINGTON — As the Internal Revenue Service´s last two directors struggled to provide answers Tuesday about the agency´s improper scrutiny of conservative groups, a lawyer for another key IRS official said she would invoke the 5th Amendment rather than answer questions about the screening and why she didn´t tell Congress about it. Lois Lerner, director of exempt organizations for the IRS, will assert her right against self-incrimination during her scheduled appearance Wednesday before the House oversight panel.

About “Bush Appointee” Doug Shulman …
Red State, by Dana Loesch    Original Article

The left loves to remind everyone that the former IRS commissioner was a Bush appointee, because somehow this makes it OK that his IRS office abused power to criminally target conservatives. For a party that loves to blame Bush, they sure love signing off on everything Bush did and then maximizing it times eleventy. Shulman may have been a Bush appointee, but he was an Obama donor: Shulman donated $500 to the Democratic National Committee in 2004. So let’s start calling him “Democrat supporter” Doug Shulman. All this shows is that Bush wasn’t an ideological bigot.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

Former Rep. The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
