Ex-DNC chair: ´The good

Former Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., found a silver lining in the shooting in Newtown, Conn., by observing that the tragedy has strengthened the gun control movement. “The good thing about Newtown is [that] it was so horrific that I think it galvanized Americans to a point where the intensity on our side is going to match the intensity on their side,” Rendell, one of Hillary Clinton’s most loyal allies, said on MSNBC today. Rendell has pushed for gun control apropos of shootings before, although he apologized at the time. “What the Congress ought to do,

It was obvious the Democrats and control junkies were giddy about it. Not so glad to be proven correct, but there are few surprises amongst the shameless.

Something smells regarding the information out of Newtown.
Can anyone say with CERTAINTY what weapons were used in the killings? I have seen mentions of two hand guns and an AR-15 in the car.
Other reports say he used the AR-15.
HOW much information is being withheld/buried to further the agenda?
Time for more answers out of Newtown.
Also, I have heard the mother of the shooter disparaged for being careless with her guns. I would like to know if she kept them in a gun safe..it is possible she had a safe with fingerprint recognition..the crazy guy could have cut off her finger..so would that be careless?
There is too much we do not know. Is it too much to ask for a report from LAW enforcement? After all, there is to be no trial..so put the information OUT.

Hey Low Info Connecticut Voter, do you get it?
Your dead children are just Democrats props!
The party of hypocrisy is dancing, singing and jumping for joy at your tragedy and misfortune. Because you can help them again.
Your pain, their gain. That´s what they call a win-win.

Think bloodshed is "good" because it will "galvanize" people?

These people are filth. They have no idea what sort of "galvanized" reaction they will reap if they are permitted to turn law abiding citizens into felons at the swipe of a pen.

They have no idea.

To our chagrin, Rendell is correct. We need to learn from this when dealing with matters like the fiscal cliff, debt ceiling, CRs, and sequestration. Shrunken paychecks, rising tax bills, and missing government checks also have a galvanizing effect.

This is what obama was trying to do in Mexico with the thousands of weapons he sold to the Mexican drug cartels. Over 300 men, women and children were murdered because of obama and the democrats.

16 school children were killed.

obama wants hundreds and hundreds of people murdered by those guns he provided.

See his votes on killing children born, his vote on not allowing you to defend yourself in your own home. His comments on killing elderly people as they have lived too long.

obama and the democrats want millions of people killed as they are being murdered by way of being on a death list like Britain has. They have 60,000 on a death list right now!!

obama is the face of a mass murdering cult called the democratic party.

There they go again, standing on the bodies of the Newtown Childern who were massacred, to make a political point.

To reduce gun violence, limit gun ownership to folks who vote Republican.

We wouldn´t be having this wave of copy-cat killing if it weren´t for the media. It´s time to reign in the media and start controlling what they are allowed to report.
Abolish the 1st amendment.
Do it for the kids.
If it saved just one life...

Why does anybody need to know that some wacko is killing people. I just breeds more killing.

Those who deal with the mentally ill have been saying for years that it is too difficult to get them into treatment because the standard has been that threat of violence must be ´imminent´. It has been an uphill battle against those who don´t want to interfere with the ´rights´ of mentally people to remain psychotic.

It is a tragedy that 20 small children had to die before the nation would listen.

Gun control opponents have been "galvanized" enough to buy record numbers of guns and join the NRA in droves.

Gun control supporters have been "galvanized" into ... talking a lot?

Senate rejects border fence

Senators on Tuesday rejected building the 700 miles of double-tier border fencing Congress authorized just seven years ago, with a majority of the Senate saying they didn’t want to delay granting illegal immigrants legal status while the fence was being built. The 54-39 vote to reject the fence shows the core of the immigration deal is holding. The vote broke mostly along party lines, though five Republicans, including Sen. Marco Rubio and the rest of the bill’s authors, voted against the fence, and two Democrats voted for it. Republicans had offered the fence as a way to

He discusses the history of the Republican Party, founded as an Abolitionist Movement in 1854. Guillory talks about how the welfare state is only a mechanism for politicians to control the black community. Hello, my name is Elbert Lee Guillory, and I’m the senator for the twenty-fourth district right here in beautiful Louisiana. Recently I made what many are referring to as a ‘bold decision’ to switch my party affiliation to the Republican Party.

Tough global rules to stop mega-rich firms and individuals from dodging tax were unveiled at the G8 summit today. David Cameron demanded the world’s most powerful countries act to stop countries shifting profits to low-cost tax havens instead of paying they dues where there are earned. The Lough Erne Declaration - signed by the UK, US, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Japan and Russia - vows to ´fight the scourge of tax evasion´ by ensuring automatic exchange of tax information and changing the rules to stop multinational companies shifting profits across borders to avoid paying their fair share.

A controversial federal agency subject to little congressional oversight has advised its employees to include minimal details about agency events on work calendars that are subject to Freedom of Information Act requests. In a flier circulated to employees and obtained by the government watchdog group Cause of Action, the bureau’s FOIA office instructs employees to “keep your calendar entries brief and general.” The guidance has some observers concerned that the agency is instructing its employees to be more opaque in its daily operations. “Transparency is at the core of our agenda, and it is a key part

On ‘Morning Joe’ this morning, the slightly thinner Gov. Chris Christie R-N.J. dodged 2016 presidential speculation by announcing that he would not wear a Speedo swimsuit on the Fourth of July. “I can announce I’m not wearing the Speedo on the Fourth of July, that’s something I’m happy to announce” Christie joked after MSNBC’s Willie Geist pressed the governor for his political aspirations. Christie has reportedly lost 40 pounds after a successful lap-band surgery earlier this year. Later in the show, Christie explained that during a visit Jersey Shore on Monday, he was approached by several young women

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least: “There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.” Here is the entire context:

Iran is preparing to send 4,000 troops in to Syria to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the wake of America´s announcement it will be providing ´military aid´ to the country´s Muslim rebels. President Barack Obama made the pledge earlier this week after the U.S. claimed it found ´conclusive evidence´ Assad´s regime has used chemical weapons against the rebel forces--which includes the most extreme Sunni Islamists--and has called for Britain and France to back the move. While Britain hasn´t made a guarantee either way as yet, more than 350 Royal Marines are being sent to Jordan
