| After Newtown, Conn., parents cried out, “What’s making our children kill?” But it is not our children who are killing. It is our sons. All but one of the 62 mass killings in the past 30 years was committed by boys or men. We respond by blaming guns, our inattentiveness to mental health, violence in the media or video games, or family values. All are players, but our daughters find the same guns in the same homes, are about as likely to be mentally ill, have the same family values and are exposed to the same violence in the media. Our daughters, however, do not kill. Why the difference?

how many of these people were on medication?
how many of these kids did not have a father in their lives?
how many of these kids watched hours of violence and played hours of violent games?
just asking

How many of these ´kids´ never met their father, or if they did they were one of the kids spread among 11 ´baby mamas´.

Mr. Farrell may be correct with his assertion, but is wrong if he thinks this White House would really want to solve a problem. Democrats don´t want to solve problems. This wouldn´t give them anything to run on.

Why does the Army and Marine Corps recruit young men ?
Because they make good killers.
Girls take too long to get ready.

#2 has a point about the 11 mamas, and yet it seems to be all white boys who commit the mass murders, not black or hispanic. That should also be looked into. The black boys without fathers seem to have perhaps more of a propensity for one on one violence but not mass shootings.

Drive-by shootings have also been mass murders, not always but enough to not say only white boys are mass murders.

#6, beltway sniper and the other sniper mentioned in an article the other day because it was an anniversary of his killing spree. Black shooters, random white victims. Take out the inner city black gun criminals and the US moves up quite a bit in the violence rankings. The other statistical factor is the number of white vs black in the population. Don´t expect a word on this problem in all the new proposals to ban and confiscate firearms, starting tomorrow in NY state.

How many were raised in families where they were not allowed to play with toy guns, as boys do, but were given baby dolls and dresses instead?
It´s our sick society that´s spawning the shootings.
Why did we not have this cultural violence in the fifties & sixties? Looks at what´s changed. There´s the answer.

Might I suggest the intentional emasculation of white males in this country and the feminist drive to disenfranchise men from their rightful place as leaders of house and home in favor of female dominated households (even in stable 2 parent homes) might, just might be contributing to this trend?
Weak, beta, blue pill dad dominated by overbearing asexual Oprah worshiping mom is the new trend in all parts of white society, even the church going part. Look into red pill/blue pill reality in the current manosphere blogroll. Strong dominant fathers and husbands are good for kids and wives. It is also Biblical for those who ascribe to Christianity, despite what the churches may teach mostly by example.
The way things are isn´t the way they should be if we really do love our kids as much as we say we do.

The dumbocrap solution to this might just be castration at birth for all those male children not born to the "approved for reproduction" elite. Guess who they´ll be.

There have always been serial killers and Americans have always had guns but mass shootings are relatively recent. In almost every case, if not EVERY case, the shooter has been in mental care treatment and given drugs that clearly state they may cause suicidal thoughts and other violence. It´s the drugs, not the guns. Guns have always been available. Boys vs girls -- I don´t know--but a lot has to do with our culture making fathers (males) disposable. What else do they have to do? Golf, anyone!

10 & 11 have it right. Not allowed to play dodge ball, Cops and Robbers..turned into little wimps by age 12. No rough and tumble for them to get it out of their systems. Easy bake ovens in non gender color..(whatever that means)

Information released yesterday in courtroom testimony was that police removed several bottles of prescription pills belonging to the shooter at the Aurora, Colorado theater.
Don´t look for LeftMedia to mention it, though.

#10, LOL!
Actually, serial killers were really not heard of much until the late 19th Century. I think there are a LOT of different factors behind this, but one thing that folks forget about is the rat experiment. We are getting more crowded in smaller spaces like the rats who started killing and eating each other. This is only one small contributing factor, but definitely a contributor. Lack of God and a moral compass; lack of stable 2 parent nuclear families; mass media glorifying the perverse, violent and evil; etc. etc. etc.
BTW, our daughters are killing too. Just not at as high a rate but they are a growing number.

Generations of little boys are now medicated with powerful drugs (e.g. Ritalin) for the crime of being a little boy... many have no father-figure to guide them and their mother-figures are incapable of dealing with them... drug ´em and hang the dangers and consequences. Just sayin´.

The flawed assumption in all the "we have to do..." responses is that society can actually find some something that will stop crazies from being crazies.

Stupid article. In all cultures, in all time periods, males have been more prone to violence. The Mongol hordes were male. The Crusaders were male. The French Revolution? - males. Can´t blame video games - they didn´t exist for centuries. Can´t blame psychiatric medications - they weren´t around for centuries, either. Kids without fathers? I bet there were a lot of fatherless children following the Civil War and every other war in history.

Well one possible explanation could be the fact that the wussies who populate our school system can´t handle the totally normal behaviour of little boys. So what do they do? They drug them into little robots. When the press decides to get honest about their reporting, I think that the teachers unions in this country will have a lot to answer for in regards to the monsters they have created.

Aurora, Columbine, Newtown etc - All of these killers were on anti-depressant medication. Studies indicate that medications - particularly anti-depressants work very differently on males versus females. I´d start there - the gun issue is a red herring rolled into an agenda to grab absolute power - nothing else.

"Our daughters, however, do not kill" using guns. They prefer abortion instead: Over 330 thousand last year, at Planned Parenthood alone. How many millions since Roe and Wade? .

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”

A Washington state Democrat is accusing Republicans of “throwing American infrastructure … under the bus” after a bridge collapse there this week. The portion of Interstate 5 in Washington that runs over the Skagit River collapsed on Thursday after a truck hit an overhead support structure, but Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) cited the incident in an interview as proof Republicans were blocking infrastructure investment to hurt President Obama politically. “Well, they have clearly spent the whole last five years trying to tear the president down, but they have done it by throwing the American infrastructure and

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have reversed their longstanding membership guidelines to allow homosexuals to join the organization. In an email to CNSNews.com, the BSA public affairs office said the vote on the resolution to “remove the restriction denying membership to youth on the basis of sexual orientation alone” was passed with 61.44 percent in favor and 38.56 percent opposed. “For 103 years, the Boy Scouts of America has been a part of the fabric of this nation, with a focus on working together to deliver the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training,”

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.
