‘Octomom’ Nadya Suleman
Back on Welfare

ABC News, by Luchina Fisher

Nadya Suleman, the mother who became famous when she gave birth to octuplets in 2009, is back on welfare. Suleman’s rep, Gina Rodriguez, told ABCNews.com that Suleman, the mother of 14, has once again sought out “state assistance for a brief period of time.” “She spent most of her savings while she was in Chapman Treatment center, paying for around-the-clock nannies, drivers, security and her treatment program,” Rodriguez said in an email. “She does not expect to be on longer than three months.”

I guess it´s easy to say this woman brought her problems on herself and she deserves to suffer the consequences.Even if you believe this, there´s no reason to be inhumane about it.Look at the billions in wasted pity money that we throw at other sympathetic losers in this country. I just find it hard to believe that some deep pocketed Hollywood type hasn´t stepped up to bankroll this woman for the kid´s sake.I would if I had the money.

She could have made a lot of money in the stripping business but backed out,I think she deserves credit for that.

On the other hand you have the glorification of a rapper thug having 11 kids by 10 different women and today´s sicko society finds that acceptable.

This is my shocked face.

Why does she still have custody of children she cannot hope to support? Where is the doctor who started this mess and why hasn´t the state gone after him for support?

Let the doctor that gave her the fertility drugs when she was already on welfare and already had children she could not afford keep her and the children up.

The doctor who perpetrated this freak of nature´s octo-pregnancy should be paying for all of this. We had nothing to do with it.

Did anybody, anywhere have a shadow of an idea that this was going to turn out differently?

She should go into the sham wedding business with foreigners.

I feel sorry for her. She never planned to have this many children. Her dr encouraged her to let him implant the ´rest´ of the embryos assuring her most wouldn´t survive. Well guess what!
I think he should be paying child support but as for Suleman, she deserves help as much as anyone else on welfare. I´m sure her home is chaotic but every picture or tape I´ve seen, it´s clean, as are the kids. Yeah they wrote on walls - don´t they all.

Regardless of the how or why, she is simply a pickpocket. Let those who sympathize pay the freight. Those who don´t sympathize should not be tapped simply because those who feel sorry for her think it´s the right thing to do. They might just be wrong.

Personally, I think "helping" these people actually hurts them and breeds more of them. I really do believe that but I don´t try to stop the do-gooders who feel otherwise.

Why, then, do they feel they have the right to force me to do what they think is "right" when I don´t force them to do what I think is right?

Agree with all who think the doctor should be paying support. I´m still trying to figure out how she could afford fertility treatments to start with.

Strip it all down (pardon the pun), and you get a bunch of little kids who are caught in the middle. I don´t care about the problems this gal is having- her "anxiety" attacks etc. Nor the Dr. and his alleged culpability. I always have to wonder about the kids. I have no doubt they love their mom, they need her, they need secure home, and a happy place to know they are loved. I would rather see her and her kids get welfare rather than some Somali leeches using it to scam drugs and set up prostitution rings here.

I feel so sorry for those poor kids. They need to be taken from her custody if they are ever to have a decent chance in life.

Photos can lie, but they look like fairly happy, healthy little kids to me.

The doctor should support them.

I had rather her have it than "Obamaphone" woman!! Please refrain from calling the children names, each one has their own guardian angel in heaven and deserve food, love, and respect. They did NOTHING WRONG. Their mom is the loser, but the doctor is the culprit in this story.

The union representing U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officials will officially oppose the proposed Senate immigration reform legislation on Monday, according to an advance statement obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. The National Citizenship and Immigration Services Council (USCIS Council) says the legislation fails to address its top concerns about the current system, including the pressure on USCIS officers to approve visa applications without thorough review and the bureaucratic barricades that prevent them from coordinating with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials. Sources say it is highly unusual for the USCIS Council to weigh in publicly on legislation.

Taxing Times for Obama

WASHINGTON — I WENT to New York last week to cover the TV presentations for the new season, shows like “Scandal,” “Shark Tank” and a faltering “American Idol.” I may as well have stayed here. You know that the faltering American idol in the White House must be reeling in this scandalous spring. No Drama Obama is immersed in drama so over the top it could have been scripted by Shonda Rhimes and Karl Rove. Just four months after his second inauguration, the president is buffeted by gushing investigations, smug and deranged Republicans, and cat-who-ate-the-canary conspiracists.

After 4 1/2 years behind bars, battling weight gain and depression, O.J. Simpson is hopeful freedom is just around the corner. In a series of exclusive jailhouse conversations, including a 30-minute video chat last week, an upbeat Juice told a Post source he was cautiously optimistic and ready to start a new life on the outside. In a move sure to infuriate the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, whom Simpson was acquitted of killing after a spectacular trial, that new life will include a planned college speaking tour to earn money.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

With three different scandals threatening to consume the White House last week—the Benghazi cover-up, the Justice Department’s seizure of the phone records of dozens of Associated Press reporters, and the revelation of an anti-Tea Party inquisition by the Internal Revenue Service—CNBC’s John Harwood offered his journalistic peers some advice on Twitter: “Those of us in political-media world should just shut up about ‘narratives’ and focus on what’s true.” CBS anchor Scott Pelley joined in: “We are getting big stories wrong, over and over again.” The fact that these sentiments needed to be expressed is a damning indictment of the media,

In the wee hours of the morning of January 27, 2013, a Wikipedia editor named “Qworty” made a series of 14 separate edits to the Wikipedia page for the late writer Barry Hannah, a well-regarded Southern writer with a taste for the Gothic and absurd. Qworty cut paragraphs that included quotes from Hannah’s work. He removed 20 links to interviews, obituaries and reminiscences concerning Hannah. He cut out a list of literary prizes Hannah had won. Two edits stand out. Qworty excised the phrase “and was regarded as a good mentor” from a sentence that started:

Pollster John Zogby reports in our weekly White House report card that President Obama´s scandal-filled disaster week has cost him his majority support and sapped enthusiasm for his second term. "As Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth might have said, this was ´weekus horribilis´ for President Obama. Three fires in the form of three scandals to put out in one week. Are locusts next? While Obama has tried to get ahead of each -- Benghazi, the Associated Press, and the IRS vs. the Tea Party -- the time to get ahead of these things is, well, ahead of them.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?"
