Government unemployment numbers for December showed that while the general unemployment rate remained flat at 7.8 percent, unemployment for women and African-Americans rose despite an economy that created 155,000 jobs. Unemployment for women rose to 7.3 percent in December from 7.0 percent while the rate for African-Americans rose sharply to 14.0 percent from 13.2 percent in November. Unemployment among African Americans has remained quite high throughout the sluggish economic recovery of the past several years

Maybe they don´t want jobs. They just want stuff, you know, like the Obama-phone. Besides didn´t Barak relieve them of paying for stuff, like that lady who voted for Him so that her mortgage payment would go away...

I wonder how much karma it will cost to laugh and laugh at this little bit of news. I think I may be willing to pay the price.

It is much easier to have lots of kids and remain on welfare- multiple daddies are no where in sight for support. They also have an attitude problem and have had for years.

Do the math! Even if one doubles the 14% figure to account for stat errors and those who have dropped out of the labor force, Black EMPLOYMENT would stand at 72%...fair to say Zero´s economic policies have devastated Black employment, but unfair to spread the myth that we prefer a welfare check to a job in the face of our demonstrable historic work ethic...

These sloths don´t care about the unemployment rate. They are made comfortable in their leisure via those suckers who actually work and pay taxes.

It´s BLS BS Day!! Look at this shiny bauble dummy.

The real numbers in the report are awful. 500,000 fewer Americans working last month, 224,000 left the work force, 176,000 new workers entered the work force. But add in a little seasonal adjustment, some hocus pocus and 155,000 jobs added.

According to the report ´drinking places´ added jobs. Now that I believe.

America’s top selling non-fiction book has much to teach about Wall Street malfeasance, but it also offers an intriguing perspective on diversity. The hero of Michael Lewis’ “Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt” is Brad Katsuyama, a Canadian-born investment banker for the Royal Bank Canada who transfers to RBC’s New York office. When he gets to the United States, the book explains, Katsuyama not only ultimately uncovers how high frequency trading is corrupting the stock market, he also becomes aware of his minority status for the first time in his life. “In the United States, Brad also noticed, he was expected to

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has started, over the past few weeks, to ratchet up talk of a potential presidential run in 2016. If that´s the case, the reaction he received this weekend at a gathering of conservatives in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire was not what he was looking for. Bush served as a punch line for — of all people — Donald Trump. "You know, I heard Jeb Bush the other day," Trump said during his speech at the Freedom Summit, hosted by the conservative groups Citizens United and Americans for Prosperity. The crowd immediately started

Barbara Bush was right when she pooh-poohed son Jeb´s interest in running for the White House in 2016. Forget political dynasties -- Bushes, Kennedys and, yes, Clintons -- the former first lady told NBC last year. "We´ve had enough Bushes." She also said: "There are a lot of great families, and it´s not just four families or whatever." Listen to your mother, Jeb.Heed her words well, Hillary. My sweetest dream for 2016 would be for a bipartisan pact: that 2016 will not be a sequel to the 1992 Bush-Clinton faceoff. Is it a deal, Dems? I won´t vote for Bush if you

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. — With eyes increasingly on him, Jeb Bush signaled on Sunday the kind of campaign he would mount if he runs for president, one arguing against ideological purity tests while challenging party orthodoxy on issues like immigration and education. Even as he sharply criticized President Obama for his handling of foreign affairs and health care, Mr. Bush made clear that he would run against the style of politics that has characterized recent Republican nominating contests. He said he would decide by the end of the year, in part on whether he thinks he could avoid “the vortex of

In his Kremlin defense of Russia’s annexation of Crimea, Vladimir Putin, even before he began listing the battles where Russian blood had been shed on Crimean soil, spoke of an older deeper bond. Crimea, said Putin, “is the location of ancient Khersones, where Prince Vladimir was baptized. His spiritual feat of adopting Orthodoxy predetermined the overall basis of the culture, civilization and human values that unite the peoples of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus Russia is a Christian country, Putin was saying. This speech recalls last December’s address where the former KGB chief spoke of Russia as standing against a decadent West: “Many Euro-Atlantic countries

Mark the date. Sometime on Tuesday, Apr. 1, 2014, Charles H Keating Jr. became a footnote … in Sen. John McCain´s biography. No one would have predicted this, not even McCain. Especially McCain. But we were wrong. There was a time when McCain´s association with Keating looked like it would bring an end to the senator´s political career. 1989, Keating´s Lincoln Savings and Loan went belly up, putting taxpayers on the hook for $3.4 billion, or roughly $13.60 from every man, woman and child then living in the United States.

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively
