This is where the Tea Parties can start exerting influence. It was the Tea Parties and their candidates that won the house for Rebublicans. Now they can eliminate Boehner and install a more conservative Speaker. And send a message to the RINO elite that a new party influence is here and here to stay. Elections have conseuences and its time the conservatives elected to Congress exert the results of we the people electing them.

Maybe this is why Paul Ryan has been so quiet, lately?

Honestly, I don´t know how Boehner stays standing up with no backbone at all.

Cantor and Ryan are RINOs.

There was talk a few weeks ago about my Congressman Tom Price challenging Boehner, but he said no. There hardly seems like enough time left before tomorrow´s vote for opposition to Boehner to get behind another viable candidate. I think this is all just wishful thinking.

The GOP´s problem is not with John Boehner, it´s with the American voter.

Too bad there are not enough Republicans willing to unseat the more than 80 Republicans that voted Democratic on this bill.

Paul Ryan has integrity and would be trusted by all Rep. members. He could unite the party like no other. He is a hard worker and understands the issues better than anyone.

They need a conservative (aka principled and spine) - Allen West would have been a good one. Too bad he was back-stabbed by the pubbie libtard cabal.

Anyone that voted "Yea" on this bill has no support from me, and that includes Paul Ryan.

I agree Allen West would have been great. Wouldn´t it have been fun to watch him take down Obama in a one to one face off? He´ll be back.

My concern would be Democrats voting for Boehner in order to keep someone like Cantor from being speaker.

It ain´t all that. Anyone else will do. This is more attorneys making thing look difficult. The job is simple. Stop it. I pray for revolution. There can be no other cure.

Boehner has to go; he is in way over his head. He is no leader; he is hurting the Republicans. Boehner has to go.

They could still hire Allen West....that would make news.

The main problem with Boehner, whom I think is a good and principled person, is that his thinking and tactics are pre-Clinton. He isn´t used to dealing with the degree of lawlessness that is the modern Democrat Party. He still thinks Presidents will strike deals that are the best for the country.

Thus, we need a different Speaker.
The Speaker does not have to be an elected Representative.
Assuming we want a principled Conservative and a relentless Fighter, I suggest that Allen West would be the best person for the job.

We need someone that still has a pair and really believes in conservative values to run the party.
We have had enough of the liberal lite or RINOs running the party for the past 5 or 6 years. Boehner is a perfect example of this kind of politician, all politics and no belief or courage.

Cantor is no great prize, but better than Crybaby.

I´d like to think it will happen. . . but congressional Repubs traditionally elect themselves a "let´s just get along" RINO, the same as they traditionally do for their Presidential candidate.

The problem is not John Boehner.

It´s Barack Obama who is calling the shots with media support behind him.

My advice is to let this play out in 2013 as Obamacare rolls in and people start noticing less money in their wallets for starters.

Republicans may have lost this tactical battle, but the strategic battle takes time to develop.

It won´t be pretty and it will be expensive. Barack Obama and his Democrats will own it.

Boehner is a problem for Republicans. He is a RINO who hates tea party Republicans. He has punished many by taking away their chairmanship from committes. If Ohio keeps sending him back, he should at least be removed as speaker. That will really give him something to cry about.

The ugly taxes and bad economy and restrictions of Obamacare will hurt him.

Traditionally the second-term mid-term elections (six years into a presidency)
are devastating for the party of the incumbent prez.

Bamster & his DimWitz may get kicked hard in 2014.
I expect it.
We can own the House and Senate and screw up the remainder of his reign of terror.

While the rank and file is center-right, the GOP leadership, since WH Taft, most emphatically is not. Boner and Doofus Romney, are mute testament to that. Yet many can´t grasp this reality.

I nominate Michelle Bachmann. She decried raising the debt limit last time.

Bachmann would be my choice too. We need someone who will get in 0bama´s face.

One doesn´t have to be a House member to be speaker. Oh, that someone there had the guts to nominate Col. West. Since that wouldn´t happen, I´ll stick with Bachmann.
