It´s 2:00 a.m. You are at home in your bed sound asleep. Your wife is sleeping beside you, and your children are asleep in their rooms down the hall. The muffled sound of a window breaking interrupts your slumber. You´re groggy and you wonder if it was just a dream, so you lie there quietly and listen. A few seconds later, you hear other sounds.
I don´t own an assault weapon. My AR15 is my HDR ( home/homeland Defense rifle). I don´t allow anyone to say I have an assault rifle as it has never, and will never, Assault ( as in starting a conflict)
This should be another Chik File warning to those who seek to enslave us. The Leftist who are running this show should take heed. The vast silent majority in America have had just about all the BS we can take. All it will take now is one Waco style raid and America will descend into a second Civil War which will result in the fall of this Regime. The Propagandist in the Media who support them will not fare well either.
We suggest buying yourself a Beretta 92FS semi-automatic pistol containing 15 rounds of 9mm hollow points. Put it on your night table. It gives one a warm fuzzy feeling to know it is there. Merry Christmas!

As the Obameconomy continues to stink and only get worse as taxes go up, home invasions will increase.
What I find most concerning about the article is the increase in gun ownership by Democrats. I´m sure these are inner-city gang bangers who commit the vast, vast majority of gun crime. They´re the ones we need to defend ourselves against.
Ditto´s #2 . The propaganda arm of the Socialist Party , who like to known as ´ the media ´ , are spinning the gun sales like they do anything else that would expose them . We aren´t arming ourselves because of a shooting , we are arming ourselves in preparation for the coming occupation of his country . By our government . They scream " loony conspiracy nuts . Right -wing extremists . Angry white males . White supremists . Racists . Black helicopter fruit ". Sam Donuts now says the USA is through with the Tea Party . They´ve been acclimating the sheep in this country to those phrases just as they have with the GOP and conservative principles . If they say it enough , they´ll begin to believe it . Those asleep are going to get a rude awakening - all the facts are right there . See that drone overhead ? . Didn´t know your e-mail is being stored ? . Forgot the president can now lock you up without even a court hearing ? . A few billion rounds of ammo for government use ? . Look , all this , they tell us , is for ´ Homeland Security ´ purposes . To fight terrorism . Why does a Dakota police dept . need and get an army tank ?. For a terrorist attack ? . I best shut up before a swat team shows up , and it can happen . I´m positive Madison would have something to say about now .
Not a gun owner, don´t particularly like them and am definitely not a hunter. But I do understand our "Right" to own these weapons.
And, wow, what a Shazaam moment when I read the Chinese communists think it´s a good idea if American citizens´ guns are taken away. No kidding? Imagine that. Those little old harmless (some say) communists would just love to come over here, take our country, and make it their own. Putin would love it as well. Some people are just way too stupid to understand this.
Like I said the other day...since Obie and Bite Me don´t think there is a problem and guns should be banned, let´s see them both walk the talk in public with no armed security details surrounding them anymore. And this includes you the msm...no more armed security walking you from your warm little office to your warm little car (that is started remotely) - since there is no problem, msm. Everyone should sign the Piers Morgan deportation petition.
President’s Select International Commission on Disarming America
Chairman: Joe Biden, Vice President of the United States Vice Chairman: Hu Jintao, President, People’s Republic of China
Senator Charles Schumer Mayor Michael Bloomberg Barbra Streisand Piers Morgan Tony Morgazzo, President, Brotherhood of Breakers and Enterers
JOE BIDEN: No palimentary crap: the Chair recognizes so-and-so, who wants to have a movement, I second the notion, yada, yada. . . . Just gimme ideas. I´ll run ´em by the Boss. Hu´s first. HU: Me? BIDEN: Yeah, you. HU: Confucius say, ´´Outlaw bullets, only outlaws will have bullets.´´ Shutter U. S. ammunition manufacturers. China will supply America’s defective cartridge and clip needs. BIDEN: Nice. No point ownin’ a gun that could blow up in your face. Tony? MORGAZZO: Make use of a gun to prevent a crime a felony. My guys need protection against unlawful resistance to theft or assault. BIDEN: Mandatory year in the clink, baby. BARBRA STREISAND: What about high capacity magazines that. . . . BIDEN: Covered, Babs. Gun World,Guns and Ammo, the rest, USPS has classified ´´gun porn.´´ No delivery. Piers? MORGAN: Disarm your police, like Bobbies, to protect them. SENATOR SCHUMER: Mayor? BLOOMBERG: Pilot project in the works. NYPD officers will carry guns only in station houses, not on patrol where they’re more likely to be used. BIDEN: Enough for today. I´ll issue a statement: ´´We ain’t takin´ guns away from law-abidin’ citizens.´´ Course, in the end, law-abidin´ citizens won’t be permitted to own ´em. SCHUMER: Sweet. BIDEN: Meeting adjourned.
I own an assault rifle. My uncle brought it back from the Philippines after WWII. The bayonet is nice, too. As for what I would use on an intruder, I have a bat. I have a reproduction Lord of the Rings Glamdring sword (Gandolph´s. Stainless steel with a mean point and about a yard long. Nice balance.).
Of course, the Sig is nice if I don´t want to get too close.
I have been handling firearms since I was 9yrs old. Used to go hunting with my dad. Since then I´ve handled and fired many different weapons up to and including a .50 caliber machine gun. (that was in my military days). It´s best to be highly trained by a qualified instructor and continue to use your training on the firing range. It´s useless to own a firearm and not to know how to use it, safely, and not maintain proficiency with it. I prefer a .357 magnum with a 6 inch barrel. Also, a noted, a pump .12gage is a good choice too.
The Sandy Hook shooter was not a lawful firearm owner. Since legislation cannot control people´s deciding to stealing others´ (even their mothers´) firearms and create this latest carnage with them, the guns have got to go.
The AR as in AR15 doesn´t stand for assualt rifle it stands for armalite. I think people haven´t done their homework about rifles. An AR15 platform is used by the military it is just like any other semi-automatic weapon, you have to pull the trigger every time you want to fire it, unless you have converted it to an automatice firing rifle. I would hazard a guess that maybe 1 to 2% have been converted illegally to an automatic fire and that most of those are possessed by criminals and gang members. If Congress passes legislation imposing the pre ban rules that those who vote to impose will be let out at the next election. If they attempt to outlaw weapons completely they are going to have one hell of a time trying to enforce it. One only has to harken back to World War II and the fact that the Japanese had no intention of invading the US because they knew that so many Americans were armed that it would be difficult, if not impossible, to fight every body in the US who were armed. The Democrats should understand that gun owners will not give their weapons voluntarily and if they try to take them by force there will be a civil war here.
As a grandmother living next to young grandchildren I do not have a gun (although my son next door does). I do have the wooden bat but even more effective in my opinion the far-shooting wasp spray that supposedly must be treated at the er to get relief. My 6 year old grandson got his first squirrel hunting gun last night on Christmas Eve.
Yesterday, an on-duty 30 year old female officer from a nearby peaceful suburb was found murdered sometime between 3-5 am. No one knows (at this point) what happened. This sort of thing rarely occurs around here.
I´ve never owned or been exposed to firearms but am seriously considering taking a course & purchasing a handgun for protection. Lots of choices & advice so if anyone can provide additional info on how to best proceed, I´d be most grateful. Feel free to email me (see my profile for address). Thanks & merry Christmas !
Saw Joe Scarbrough this morning state that an AR 15 with a high capacity mag could fire "thousands of rounds per/min". I flew with a mini gun that could fire 5000 rounds per/min, but it had six barrels an a 5 sec limit switch. Otherwise the barrels would melt.Don´t think Joe knows how much a thousand rounds weights. Also cheap high capacity mags tend to mal function. If they limit mags to 15 rounds, all you need to do is tape two together, and it makes them more reliable. PS Ever fire a shotgun with a cut round?
My hubbly and I are going gun shopping in the next few days. A shotgun for him and a girl gun for me. (Suggestions appreciated.) I am going to take lessons and get my CCW in 2013.
At this point, I am afraid of guns and I don´t want to be anymore. There is an indoor shooting range here that has ladies night where you pay $20 to rent the pistol and take a shooting lesson. I figure it´s a good start.
(My other NY resolution is to learn to paint. Look out Wine & Design!)
Good on ya #30. I have a Ruger SR9c, it is a terrific little gun that fits my girl hands and it has enough of a kick for this old gal. I find a 40 cal is too heavy to carry all the time and the recoil is a bit much for me.
The womens classes at our range are all booked and they had to add more. I am so glad that the ladies are getting serious about firearms.
My group of gals are taking a carbine class in February, just for a refresher. We shoot twice a month then have dinner. Forget the mall, the range is where you´ll find us girlies.
Merry Christmas and a Grand New year, come what may, to all our wonderful LDotters and Miss Lucianne and crew.
#30, when I was looking to purchase a gun in 2000, I went to our local shooting range, where one can rent guns by the hour for use there, and I tried several,l,. A friend who is a deputy sheriff and on a SWAT team also loaned me his personal Glock to try out. I finally settled on a Glock 26 9mm sub compact. It´s small enough for my 60 year old female hands, has less kick than others I tried and was the weapon I was most accurate with.
Keep the 12 guage, 7-shot w/ 00 buck for the house, or behind the pick-up truck seat. 1 full size 1911, because I like them, and just upgraded to a Kimber Ultra- Carry w/ a 3" barrel in .45. Feel better already!
#30, many women prefer revolvers vs. pistols because loading the semi-automatic clips can be difficult. Ruger makes the LCR, a nice lightweight revolver. Disclaimer: I am a happy owner of Ruger stock for the last few years.
#30, I would suggest a good quality .380 if your hands are really small, otherwise one of the slim 9mm´s would do just fine. Take a reputable course, practice often and also practice reloading in the dark.
#30, I´d recommend some reading at www.corneredcat.com, then borrow several different models in several different calibers. Guns are like clothes, cars, or shoes - If someone picks it out for you, it´ll be a miracle if you like it.
#26, I wouldn´t count on the wasp spray. I seriously doubt it would do more than surprise the intruder and have next to zero effect on his agression. If you are going to use something like this get some pepper spray and test the range and pattern so you know how to use it. I know there is a forward that has been circulating stating that wasp spray has better range than pepper spray--I doubt it and I also doubt pyrethrins would cause immediate harm in humans.
Find your nearest range, spend some time putting rounds through your self defense weapon. Good for you, good for the gun. Get comfortable loading and unloading your guns, loading magazines, practicing safety procedures. The guys at the range will be happy to help you and answer your questions. Good people. A gun is a tool and like any tool, you need to know how to use it safely and correctly.
Teach your kids gun safety from birth, take the mystery out of it. Take them to the range with you when you deem them old enough to follow the rules. Show them what those guns can do. It´s a powerful and lasting lesson and may very well impress them with the fact that guns must always be respected.
Oh and good choice #33... I am a lady and have been carrying a Glock 26 daily for 7 years now. Has never jammed, never even blinked at me when I have pulled the trigger at the range. I keep her clean and tidy. Love that gun. Highly recommend it for CC for any lady.
Number 18 you owe me a new keyboard and monitor. I laughed so hard my Mt Dew is all over the place. Seriously anyone who wants to come to my house at 2 in the morning better be ready to meet my friends Glock and Mossberg. That is if my very large dog does eat you first.
As nuclear talks between Iran and major world players enters its third day what has emerged is that Iran will get major relief from sanctions in exchange for the dubiously enforceable promise of restricting its uranium enrichment to levels for peaceful energy use only. And as US Secretary of State John Kerry jets around Europe posing as the deal maker, we find out that the Obama Administration had already taken it upon themselves in June to stop imposing sanctions on new entities created to do business in place of a sanctioned one.
On Saturday morning, Fox News interviewed Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan about an apparent overture by President Barack Obama intended to bring about an end to the horrible, awful, end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it 17 percent government shutdown. The idea, in essence: pass a bill to fund the entire government, and then we can talk about making needed changes to Obamacare. Pretty funny. For practical purposes — at least in terms of having a functioning exchange, the hyped linchpin of the entire enterprise — there is no Obamacare right now. Sure, there’s a website, but only a tiny percentage of those wishing to use it have
As the hypothesis of man-caused global warming is trundled off to the Morgue for Scientific Hoaxes, let´s anticipate the autopsy´s preliminary findings: the subject expired after choking on its own premises. In denial, warmists continue to hawk recently discredited tenets: mankind´s (read: America´s) profligate use of fossil fuels pumps enormous quantities of CO2 into the atmosphere; naturally, Earth´s temperature rises, exacerbating the so-called "greenhouse effect"; in time, our planet becomes a most inhospitable place. "Settled science." Until it wasn´t. These postulates were meant to frighten the naive and misinformed into supporting a radical correction that would (surprise!) hit the U.S. hardest.
Vice President Joseph R. Biden will discuss arms control Saturday with Russia’s top envoy, a meeting that could shed light on President Obama’s unguarded comment last year that he would have more “flexibility” to negotiate with the Russians after his re-election. Mr. Biden will hold a one-on-one session with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Munich during a four-day European trip with his wife, Jill, that begins Friday. Administration officials confirmed Thursday that the vice president’s agenda with Mr. Lavrov includes an exploration of ways to reduce both nations’ nuclear weapons stockpiles.
The Senate overwhelmingly approved Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) as the next secretary of state Tuesday afternoon, with three Republican “no” votes. The vote was 94 to 3, clearing the way for Kerry to formally take over from Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday. He assumes the post amid a civil war in Syria that has killed an estimated 60,000 people, stalled nuclear negotiations with Iran and the spread of militancy across North Africa.
On September 21, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke to reporters before a meeting with the Pakistani foreign minister. She addressed the September 11 assault on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya. “What happened was a terrorist attack, and we will not rest until we have tracked down and brought to justice the terrorists who murdered four Americans.” Clinton’s statement was notable. It was the strongest and most direct assessment of the attacks from any Obama administration official in the first 10 days after the deaths.
The horrific recent mass murder of 26 children and adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School predictably has reignited the gun-control debate in this country. (snip) The task force led by Vice President Joe Biden has met mostly with groups either in favor of or opposed to greater restrictions on guns and ammunition. Facing strong political opposition in Congress from both parties, Vice President Biden and President Barack Obama each have suggested publicly that the president will act by executive order to restrict guns.
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
Last summer on his $100 million family tour of Africa, Barack Obama hoped for a priceless photo op with Nelson Mandela, the ailing freedom pioneer who went from prison cell to the presidency of South Africa. Mandela´s family suggested that wouldn’t happen. So, the Obamas did a photo op in Mandela´s former prison cell. Which Obama’s White House quickly tweeted upon word of the icon´s passing at 95. [Skip] But Obama was also caught staring at television coverage of Mandela’s passing, which became Obama’s Photo of the Day.
Hardly a week goes by without Hillary Clinton receiving another award. Last month she was named a “Global Champion” by the International Medical Corps, received the American Patriot Award at the National Defense University Foundation and the Hermandad Award from the Mexican American Leadership Initiative. [Snip] At this rate, if a bunch of elderly left-wing Swedes toss her the Nobel Peace Prize early on, the way they did to Obama, it will barely rate mention among all the other glittering trophies that have been bestowed on a woman whose only actual accomplishment was being married to a crooked governor with
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
Speaker John Boehner said his party should support gay Republican congressional candidates and urged his colleagues to “be a little more sensitive” when running against women. “Some of our members just aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be,” Boehner said. When asked if he thinks his party should support gay candidates, Boehner simply said: “I do.”
In February, the Bush family’s personal emails were hacked by Guccifer, a hacker who uncovered photographs of former President George H. W. Bush in a hospital bed and George W. Bush’s oil paintings in the process. It seems Guccifer has struck again, this time targeting former President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Library. The hacker has reportedly uncovered doodles of Clinton drawing on what were, at the time, classified documents. Among the doodles is apparently a picture of a penis. The document uncovered is a briefing of the strategic measures the United States could take prior Clinton’s decision to intervene in
