Do you hear that faint sound? It´s the grumbling of conservative pundits who are now churning out a theory that Hillary Clinton is lying about her concussion to avoid having to testify about Benghazi. Clinton had a concussion recently, her team said Saturday. And The Daily Caller´s Jim Treacher isn´t sending the Secretary of State a get-well card until she proves she was really hurt. He writes: If she has a concussion, let’s see the medical report. Let’s see some proof that she’s not just stonewalling. If it’s true, then we can all wish her a speedy recovery.
FTA: Update 4:21 p.m. Clinton´s team is responding to the attacks that the Secretary of State faked her concussion to get out of the hearing. "She´s been on the phone and in e-mail contact with senior staff. She´s been working on other issues - Syria, the DPRK [North Korea] today. These are people that don´t know what they are talking about," spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters.
Just about everyone believes hillary is faking it. She couldn´t appear on tv a few days after the libya mess, because she was too upset over the death of the ambassador. She then took off for peru, to attend a women´s summit of some kind, and then she went to Australia for winetasting. And nnow she is back in washington, and bumps her head, self diagnoses a concussion, and can´t testify. Next she will be out of office and will take the 5th.
Nobody but those crazy conservatives could ever even DREAM of the Clintons´ not telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Of COURSE she is faking it. Everybody knows that. The liberal media know it. Hillary and her handlers and the Obama administration must really think Americans are stupid.
It looks like they could be right, considering who has been in the Oval Office almost 4 years, and whose ticket has just been stamped valid by vox populi for another 4 years. People foolish enough to put a character like Obama in the White House and to keep him there after they have had a chance to see him in action are gullible enough to believe anything. And even if they don´t believe it - for example our famous "investigative media" and "journalistic watchdogs" and "Fourth Estate"- they will pretend to do so for partisan political purposes.
You go, girl. Hope your head doesn´t hurt too back. Guess there will be some lasting effects, though. There will probably be some things you will just never be able to remember, no matter how hard you try.
With the proper doctoring, she could end up like one or more of those embroiled in the shenanigans of the Iran Contra....or just later, like Vince Foster.... Bill would be crushed were she gone, but would ,I am sure get over it,...these are nefarious, murderous folk...remember Hitlery is froma Chicago family(pack? ) of lawyers..
""She´s been on the phone and in e-mail contact with senior staff. She´s been working on other issues - Syria, the DPRK [North Korea] today........."
If she can do those things with a concussion why can´t she testify and tell the story? I´m sure that she will be afforded the utmost respect and courtesy from the committee, heck I bet they even let her bring a doctor or nurse with her to stand by just in case. So if she can do her job she can testify.
I´ve had a concussion ( head on collision with my horse ). One doesn´t stop you from doing anything. You just have a horrendous headache and feel awful for a couple of days. Lame excuse and we are 100% correct not to believe it.
Well, duh, anyone with half a brain knows she´s faking it. After all she can´t appear before them give us the "I don´t recall" bit again. Hillary is a joke and reached her level of incompetence a long, long time ago. You can see why she stayed with Bill and put up with being humiliated all the time. She never would have made it on her own.
If she did a header full on, with the full weight of her body, shed´s have more than a concussion; she´d have a skull fracture. I think the Clinton track record for truthfulness tells us we´re being shat upon once again.
All that free Gubba Mint health care and no doctor´s visit for the "concussion?" The Hag is a liar. She needs to be doing hard time for all her crimes . Payback is gonna be a beeyatch someday, Hilly. You´ve put a looooooot of bad juju out there in your decades-long crime spree. Oops, I mean, career.
I haven´t seen the doctors name published yet, but if I was him/her I would make sure I had something to protect me from committing suicide like Vince Foster. Especially if she is thinking of running for Pres.
Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Wednesday defended the legislative record of the House, saying it passed nearly 150 bills aimed at boosting job creation, all of which have been blocked by Senate Democrats. On the House floor, Boehner said House Republicans had passed several bills to ease federal regulations, allow for more energy independence, and scale back or eliminate ObamaCare. He also noted bills aimed at reforming job training programs, boosting protection from cyber attacks, and helping schools recruit and keep good teachers. "Every single one of these bills have been blocked by Washington Democrats," Boehner said. "The Senate and
When Rush Limbaugh called Sandra Fluke a “slut” the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks went ballistic, making the conservative talk show host a centerpiece in their campaign to tarnish Mitt Romney and the GOP as engaging in a “war on women.” However when MSNBC’s Martin Bashir launched his own war on women against Sarah Palin, not a single anchor or reporter from the Big Three said a word about his vile attack. In the two weeks (February 29, 2012 - March 14, 2012) after Limbaugh made his crude Fluke joke, that he apologized for, the Big Three networks aired
Nicole Hockley, whose child was tragically murdered at Sandy Hook last year, said that background checks would not have prevented shooter Adam Lanza from getting the guns he used to carry out the atrocities. She also stated that the 911 tapes from that day should not be released. Appearing on MSNBC´s Andrea Mitchell Reports on Tuesday, Hockley and Mitchell both conceded tha background checks would not have prevented Lanza´s mother from purchasing the guns Lanza eventually used at Sandy Hook. Hockley said Lanza´s mother should have been more responsible with her guns and noted that Lanza´s mental illness made the
As the president hosts a White House youth summit, a new poll from his alma mater shows a majority of young people aren´t interested in signing up for his signature health care plan. The Harvard "Millennials" poll found only 22 percent of young Americans -- defined in the survey as between 18 and 29 years old -- plan to sign up for ObamaCare. Even more troubling for the administration, fewer than a third -- only 29 percent -- of people who currently do not have health insurance plan to enroll. "Actuarially, the [Affordable Care Act] depends upon these young Americans
PHILADELPHIA— Edward J. "Babe" Heffron, whose World War II service as a member of the Army´s famed Easy Company was recounted in the book and TV miniseries "Band of Brothers," has died at age 90. He died Sunday at a hospital in Stratford, N.J., said his daughter, Patricia Zavrel. Heffron and the rest of his Band of Brothers fought through some of World War II´s fiercest European battles. A paratrooper in Company E, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Heffron took part in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium and helped liberate the Kaufering concentration camp in Landsberg,
There is a disturbing undercurrent in Obama’s campaign-style speech on behalf of Obamacare rat the White House today. Obama never credits opponents of the law with the substance of their criticism. He does not attribute decent motives or good faith opposition to them. Rather, he treats them as “wreckers” (as they were deemed in the Soviet Union) guilty of destructive thought crime: Now, we may never satisfy the law’s opponents. I think that’s fair to say. Some of them are rooting for this law to fail — that’s not my opinion, by the way, they say it pretty explicitly. (Laughter.)
WASHINGTON — The novelty of flying cars never materialized. But flying novels are right around the corner. If you aren’t nervous enough reading about 3-D printers spitting out handguns or Google robots with Android phones, imagine the skies thick with crisscrossing tiny drones. “I know this looks like science fiction. It’s not,” Jeff Bezos told Charlie Rose on “60 Minutes” Sunday, unveiling his octocopter drones. The Amazon founder is optimistic that the fleet of miniature robot helicopters clutching plastic containers will be ready to follow GPS coordinates within a radius of 10 miles and zip around the country providing half-hour
Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) said on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation” Wednesday that when Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, “he didn’t charge food stamps.” “When Jesus had those five loaves and two fishes, he didn´t charge food stamps. He didn´t ask anybody how much money they had. He fed them because they were hungry, and that´s really where we ought to be,” McDermott said in response to Republican critics of the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). In September, the House approved a plan by Republicans to cut $39 billion in food stamps over the next
The nation’s view of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, colored by the horrific Benghazi assassination of the U.S. ambassador to Libya on her watch, has suddenly turned upside down, with more now holding an unfavorable opinion of the likely 2016 presidential candidate. A new YouGov/Economist poll found Clinton, whose approval ratings have typically been sky high, with an unfavorable rating of 48 percent, more than the 46 percent who have a favorable opinion of her. The YouGov pollsters said that the change in American attitudes toward Clinton "suggests that negative press surrounding the tragic
President Obama will cast growing income inequality and a decline in economic mobility as a “fundamental threat to the American dream” during a speech Wednesday in Washington. The speech will serve as an early preview for next year’s State of the Union address, according to a White House official, who said Obama would focus much of his energy over the next three years on the issue. “The decisions we make over the next few years will determine whether or not our children will grow up in an America where, if you work hard, you can get ahead,” the official said.
Bill Clinton, the cliché goes, was the first black president, no matter his skin color. That being the case, Barack Obama is not the first black president, or the first African-American president, if you prefer, but the first hippie president. Clinton’s southern background and lifestyle were indeed more typically black, just as Obama’s was more typically hippie. And we’re not just talking about the “Choom gang” here, scarfing “Maui Wowie” on the sands of Oahu. We’re talking about all of it, the whole multi-culti-missing-white-mother-vanished-Kenyan-father-anti-imperialist-America-is-always-the-enemy-and-don’t-you-forget-it-nine-yards. And like most hippie culture as I knew and experienced it, it wasn’t about “peace and love.” Not
During a presentation at the White House in which President Barack Obama touted the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, the president declared that his signature health care reform law was not going to be repealed. This assertion led his administration members, his staff, and audience members to rise from their seats and give the president a standing ovation. Obama said that ACA opponents’ alternative to the health care reform law is to champion repeal and going back to the health care delivery system status quo ante. He specifically cited Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who he said was asked directly for
A woman has revealed how difficult it is to eat healthily and stay full when living off an average food stamp budget. Melinda Moulton, from Huntington, Vermont, was one of 200 people to take part in the 3Squares Challenge, which saw her living for a week on just $36 worth of food, or around $1.71 a meal. Opting to try and eat as healthily as possible, Ms Moulton resorted to cheap foods like yogurt for breakfast, two handfuls of peanuts for lunch and lentil stew for dinner, all of which left her unsatisfied.´I don´t know how people do it,´ said
Good stuff from Jonathan Turley at today’s House hearing on executive power, although I regret that I couldn’t find a more user-friendly format for you to watch. There’s no compilation clip; you’ll have to make do with the C-SPAN embed by fast-forwarding to the time cues I give you and being patient while the vid buffers (and buffers, and buffers).(Snip)That brings us to point two: Even if Congress can’t stop Obama, the courts can. The problem there, though, says Turley, is that O and the DOJ have argued successfully in many cases that no one has standing to sue him
