My opinion? We let the left hijack Christmas a long time ago. So, let´s take it back. We allowed them to take it over and redefine it and distribute it to us as they see fit and it is barely recognizable today.
We let Hollywood tell us how our Christmas should be. We let the retailers tell us how our Christmas should be. We let the music industry tell us how our Christmas should be. Now we let the government tell us how our Christmas should be. I say enough. Take it back. That means taking back your money as well. Do that and you´ll have a real Come to Jesus moment for everyone involved.

"Parents" who inculcate in their [very, very unlucky] kids the attitude that any perceived difference must be bullying are guilty of child abuse at best.

Sorry, this country is majority rule. If that wasn´t the case we could have easily gotten rid of BO´s progressive idiocy. Instead we are stuck with it. It sounds to me like they somehow have not gotten the memo that Christmas is a religious holiday. The first half of the word is "Christ". People who seek to be offended usually manufacture their own reasons to be offended.

´Bullying´ has become the tiresome buzzword for anything that our self-esteem culture feels threatened by as a result of their own insecurities.

Here´s the bad news: The "Establishment" clause of our Constitution does suggest that the government, in all of it´s manifestations, resist the impulse to promote or ´establish´ ANY religion. Bullying is being subjected to daily beatings from the fat kid with nobody willing to stop it. While those horrible murders were taking place in CT, I was at my grandkids school listening to their class sing Christian Christmas songs. My non-Christian ears did not burn, and I didn´t feel like I was getting a spiritual wedgie. I was grateful I have lived long enough to hear the little varmints sing their hearts out.

I and so many others am so tired of being BULLIED by people like this! They are the reason my kids have to sing the absolute lamest holiday songs at our school´s "holiday" concert! Christmas - I remind these jerks- is a national holiday. Until Christmas is no longer a NATIONAL HOLIDAY in the United States, get lost already!!!! This secular bullying is in the heart of the South. Our elementary kids were coerced into the stupidest Christmas concert ever. All reindeer, snow, trees, and santa. Everyone exited quietly and ill-humored.

#36 - Your experience sounds like heaven compared to my absolutely horrible, lame, boring show. These secular bullies have ruined the excitement of Christmas at school for our kids! The music director obviously purposely picked the worst Christmas-related songs possible to put them on par with Kwanza which no one celebrates, and Hannukah, which is a minor Jewish holiday. It is disgusting!

I am not religious. I don´t feel oppressed or threatened by Christianity or Judaism or even Buddhism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianisim, Hinduism, Bahaiism, etc. Of course, the one left off the list in the preceding sentence worries me a lot.

Religion is a historical and important fact of our existence even as part of secular history. Taking it out of history or contemporary life completely would be as silly as trying to take water out of your diet. It´s THERE, and to a lot of people it´s actually life-sustaining.

I can´t believe in a place like Montana people can feel so victimized. It´s not a nanny-ninny state like here in New York.

Too bad. Christmas without those beautiful old carols just isn´t Christmas any more. At least they maintained a facade of celebrating the Nativity. Soon it will be all shopping and nothing else. Then, like one of those cartoon characters that runs off a cliff and keeps running until he looks down to find nothing underneath and promptly falls, people will begin to wonder just why they are running around spending money they don´t have or could use for other things to buy gifts for people who most of the time have everything they want and need. Bullying ? That was when the fat 5th grader on the playground daily took whatever he wanted from us third graders. A sock about quarter full of marbles took him up the side of the head and corrected his wrong thinking. { Meriden CT, 1953. } Bullying needs to be dealt with no matter what age.

For several years, I was on a quest for albums of traditional Christmas carols, sung in the traditional way, not the warbling garbage produced in this country. I finally found one in the Metropolitan Museum of Art catalog. It was produced in Great Britian by a 90-ish David Willcocks. Well worth the price. I listen to it every night.

Give me my way or I will sue, yeah, that´s a form of bullying. Find out who these people are and have the whole town ignore them, treat them as though they don´t exist.

Why are they suing for secular songs, that means they are still recognizing Christmas. I vote we cancel all days off and treat christmas as any other day. I´m sick of hearing athiests whine about this every year. They´re so annoying.
