Dukakis seen as possible Senate
replacement if Kerry tapped for State

The Hill (DC), by Alexander Bolton

Former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis, the 1988 Democratic presidential nominee, may be headed back to the political spotlight as he’s considered a likely interim replacement for Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.). President Obama is set to tap Kerry to succeed Hillary Clinton as secretary of State, according to media reports. This means Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (D) needs to find someone to fill Kerry’s seat until a special election can be held in the late spring or early summer. Dukakis, who is 79, has remained politically active. He campaigned for Sen.-elect Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) this fall and teaches at Northeastern University.

The Demonrat party is so in love with mind numb "legacies" that it is laughable. No trouble with Dukakis following the communist Party Line.

#6, Reid has already said the cloture requirement, now 60, is going to be reduced, probably to 51. (Remember how the democrats cried and complained when the republicans threatened the ´nuclear option?´
Reid is using the nuclear option.
From beginning to end, I predict Jon Cary will be confirmed in one week. Same with Hagel at Defense.
Elections have consequences. Just watch the creepy creatures President Zero appoints to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The front men for this regime don´t matter much. This agenda has been carefully crafted for many years. While the prize is totalitarian control of the population, the vectors are:

1-"Redistribution & Fairness"
2-Retribution for "Colonial Exploitation"
3-Alienation of population into hostile sub groups.
4-Stigmatizing and shaming of the military.
5-Promotion of "Gangsta Culture".
6-Disarming the productive sector (Disarming of the new slaves).
7-Environmental extortion operations.
8-Fiscal & Monetary chaos.

I´d worry more if they were bringing in young and charming leading men types.

I guess they can only tolerate one of them.

OMG. The worst thing about Lucy.com is that you Ldotter´s are so fast with and all the good comments are already taken by the time I wake up, have my coffee and try to jump in.

With the re-election of Obummer, Obammy, Ozero, Obozo, etc., etc., etc. what is there to say? I feel like I´m in some kind of surrealistic B., C., or D movie. Can it be worse than this so called administration? Can it be more absurd or bizarre than this administration? More incompetent, more frightening? More totally detached from any kind of reality? Think of the bizarre people attempting to run and ruin our country. "The Won" himself and his shrill harridan and scold of a so called wife, Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Feinstein, Jarrett, the shameful, strange and incompetent Supreme Court appointees Kagan and Sotomayor, the "concussed" Hildabeast/thing, and now, the lying, pompous, smug, arrogant and condescending traitor Jon Francois Carry.

Excuse me, but WTH is wrong with this country that we would vote ourselves into such a self-destructive death spiral with these absurd "leaders"? Is it just me or is this all too depressingly depressing. I´m hoping that this nightmare is just a dream, just a dream.

The current scenario in DC would have to work really hard to come up to the level of a D grade movie. Amusing that the dems, after accusing the RNC of ´old white men´ attacking Susan Rice, is now using ´old white men´ for their new nominations.

I guess that because these retreads are dems, that´s ok. And I also didn´t think it was possible for the Senate stature to decrease any more than it already has with dingy Harry in charge. Where do you go from bottom of the barrel?

If Deval Patrick picks Michael Dukakis at age 79, he is picking him to hold down the seat until someone else, maybe even Deval Patrick himself can run for the seat later in the year. That´s if Barack Obama does not pick Patrick for Attorney General if Eric Holder decides to leave or if a vacancy on the Supreme Court does not pop up that Obama can nominate Patrick to fill.

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Thursday said the House won't pick up the Senate immigration bill and pass it. President Obama offers only weasel words to explain deaths in Libya and IRS abuses. He’s the master of verbal evasion. House Republicans need to replace debate with action to hold the president accountable on these issues. To get to the bottom of why four Americans died in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, House Republicans should issue a formal resolution demanding to know where the president was on the night September 11 and what role he played. Obama needs to be put on the hot seat. Benghazi- For eight months, the White House has maneuvered

The 2012 election season was filled with angry cries of “voter suppression,” almost all of them regarding attempts by states to require voter ID and otherwise improve ballot integrity. Bill Clinton warned that “there has never been — in my lifetime, since we got rid of the poll tax and all the other Jim Crow burdens on voting — the determined effort to limit the franchise that we see today.” Democratic-party chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said “photo-ID laws, we think, are very similar to a poll tax.” All of this proved to be twaddle.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
