He was traveling — but she was on a jealousy trip. A whacked-out New Jersey woman sent police rushing to Newark Airport yesterday after falsely accusing her husband of plotting to blow up a plane, authorities said. Eunice Ukaegbu, 50, called cops about her hubby, Okieze Ukaegbu, 58, because she didn’t want him to leave the country without her, authorities said. The couple had just gotten into a nasty fight. “It looks like that marriage went up in flames,” law-enforcement official quipped. The drama began when Eunice allegedly passed along the bogus tip that her husband

She´ll be charged with terrorism, I hope. If not jailed then she should be forced to wear an ankle bracelet and report her wearabouts consistently for the next 5-10 years. Then, the next time she has a fight with her husband, she´ll keep the fight between her and her husband.

Question #1 - Are these people illegals?
With a name like Ukaegbu, one wonders.

I am really DISGUSTED that so many so-called conservatives here are making racial issues out of this and everything! Bigotry has NO place here. The woman did a stupid thing out of emotional distress. It has absolutely nothing to do with her ethnicity. If you think it does, you are living in fantasy and really need to check yourselves. There are plenty of stupid, overly emotional white women of European descent who do things just as crazy, if not worse. There are plenty of white illegal aliens too. The few comments like many of those above just gives credebility to the projected leftist lies that we are all bigots -- especially if nobody speaks up against them.
Can we please stop playing into the manipulative left´s hand? They are trying to divide us. Don´t let them win!! We are better than that. Btw, bigotry is a sign of ignorance. Let´s leave that thinking on the left where it belongs!

I´m in a bad mood, shut up #8& #9. I´ve had all the "pray for so and so" that I can handle tonight.

Trying to divide? I dare say Zippy and crew have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Back to the article, this woman, regardless of ethnicity, should be jailed for terrorism.

I don´t care what color she is, jail her immediately!

Merry Christmas #9. And Merry Christmas to you too #10. I am sorry to hear that you are in a bad mood and feel like others must be the recipients. Hope you feel better.

If anyone should be edgy, it should be me. Don´t know if we will get through tomorrow unhurt (or even alive). Been threatened by a biker gang thug (via landlord) to be out by tomorrow. I´m not going anywhere and CA gun laws make it so I can´t even defend myself. Still, despite everything, I think people deserve to be judged on individual merit--not ethnicity or any other irrelevant feature--and I´ll continue to fight for what is right...even to my last breath. Oh...and yes, wifey deserves to go to jail just like the thug does.

Some people believe that any mention of race means raaaaaccissmmm. They don´t know the difference between racial and racist. Like it or not, these wascally third-world immigrants are having a blast in the west because of fabulous Christians like them (8 & 9). It´s way past time to begin fighting back, and many on this site are just bickering old ladies grousing and pontificating. If you´re really disgusted...really, really disgusted...then you know what to do. Other than that, reread the third sentence of this post and adjust fire. Thank you to all of the great LDotters who don´t tiptoe around as the Republican versions of Democrats. Continue to call it as you see it and don´t be the slightest bit intimidated by that person sitting at a keyboard who, when not trying to go into the grocery store through the exit or driving the speed limit in the passing lane of an interstate highway, are defining who is a good or bad Christian. Last time I checked, they have no authority to make that call.

Reply 14 - Posted by: 4Justice, 12/17/2012 3:46:13 AM     (No. 9070159)

First of all, I am not really what you would call a Christian as I am not religious. I am spiritual. But it isn´t about pussyfooting around the real problems in our country. It is about making assumptions based on irrelevant characteristics. If somebody cannot see what bigotry is, then I feel sorry for them. We are ALL individuals. And should be judged as such. I have known people from all sorts of different backgrounds, ethnicities and countries (here legally) and I must say that most of them had much better character than a lot of Americans (most of European descent) that I have met over the years. I´ve always believed that conservatives believed as our Founders did. I always thought that the right exhalted the individual over the group...we do NOT believe in group-think like leftists (who have proven they are racist bigots and who use identity politics to divide & conquer us). Instead, we believe in giving people a chance regardless of their physical differences. Have I been wrong for 50 years?

Thanks for speaking out, #8 & 16, although I don´t see this thread as particularly racist compared to many others I´ve seen, actually. Good luck with your house & biker problems though! Yikes.

It seems to me that this site is conservative. Basically we should be able to joke able about almost anything here. I thought the post by #8 was way over the top. Who cares what the liberals "think"? As to the story, I´d guess the man is a diplomat of some sort. He´s going to Nigeria via Paris. The police said he arrived at the airport in a black Lexus.

Adam Carolla is no stranger to the P.C. police. He simply refuses to hold his hands out so they can slap the cuffs on him. Carolla offered some advice to his fellow comedians during a recent podcast on how to handle the inevitable bruised feelings from pointed punch lines. Don´t give in. Naturally, Carolla leaned on a colorful metaphor or two to hammer home his argument. "These paper tigers who try to knock you down and make you apologize ... they put pressure on you," he said. "What you need to do is not negotiate with terrorists."

Adam Carolla knows liberal media bias exists because he´s seen it up close and personal. So when he watches the mainstream press ignore President Barack Obama´s hypocrisy he simply chalks it up to more of the same. Those lessons are starting to rub off on Carolla´s podcast partner, Dr. Drew Pinsky. The two, reunited after spending a decade on the syndicated Loveline radio show, explored how the media reacts to the president´s lavish lifestyle on their most recent installment of The Adam and Dr. Drew Show.

Adam Carolla hardly seems the professorial type. The podcast king doesn´t smoke a pipe, wear patches on the elbows of his sports jackets or extol the virtues of socialism. Still, Carolla´s life story offers plenty of lessons for his fellow Americans. After all, he went from being "Not Taco Bell Material" to a New Media trailblazer. Carolla shares some reasons why he evolved beyond a less than idyllic childhood as part of the newest course from Prager University. It´s all about internalization, learning from one´s mistakes without blaming everyone else but you.

Adam Carolla says he´s been through the “Hollywood washing machine,” and he´s glad not to deal with any more spin cycles. “I’m tired of leaving it up to the judges. You can get a lot of bad hometown calls,” the podcast king tells Big Hollywood about his new career as a podcast pioneer working under the Carolla Digital banner. “I wanna train hard and go for the knockout.”

Adam Carolla's shift to the political right appears all but complete. Yes, the podcast king still supports gay marriage, and he embraces other left-of-center social stances. On the big issues of the day, from the upcoming election to our collective increase in government dependence, Carolla might as well have his own show on Fox News. Oh, wait. Carolla was recently christened as the channel's newest contributor. Carolla's latest rant targeted President Barack Obama's moth-eaten 2008 campaign slogan.

Adam Carolla calls California home, but he's hardly a typical resident by local standards. He's more likely to critique the Golden State (or its denizens) than send much love its way. So when Bill O'Reilly asked the podcast king why his fellow Californians, particularly well-to-do Hollywood types, aren't up in arms over skyrocketing gas prices Carolla had an easy answer up his sleeve. "My friends don't know how much gas is, they don't care, and they like it that way," Carolla told O'Reilly.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
