| A Jewish faith organisation has received 37 reports of possible anti-Semitic harassment so far this year. Jews in Denmark are advised to avoid wearing the Star of David or the religious headpiece, the kippah, in public according to advice given out by the Israeli Embassy and Jewish faith groups. Israel’s ambassador, Arthur Avon.. We advise Israelis who travel here and want to go to the synagogue that they should only put their kippah on once they are inside.. They shouldn’t wear them on the street, even in areas that are considered safe.

Lazy people hate capitalism because it convicts them of being the sluggards that they are. Who is more capitalistic (ie, believes in hard work) than Jews and conservatives?

What a difference from WWII when the Nazis demanded that the Jews wear the Star of David for ID before selecting them for deportation to death camps. The king asked that everyone wear the SOD! And they did! The Nazis were confounded. Today, everyone should come out and wear yarmulkes (the skull cap) and stars of David and display menorahs, Jewish or not! To hell with cowering before these Islamic monsters. Freedom and self respect as human beings demands nothing less!

During WWII, the Danish people worked hard to protect her Jewish citizens.. They were Danes first, Jewish second....

The first decade of the 21st century is the late 1920s and the early 1930s all over again, the U.S. is the Weimar Republic, and Stalinist Russia is Washington D.C.

I´m currently reading "Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Prophet, Martyr, Spy" by Eric Metaxis. The parallels between the 1930´s leading to Hitler and his actions after he took over and what is occurring today are rather frightening.I do not see our political situation getting better and, with someone in the Presidency who thinks he can run circles around the Constitution without interference, can only see terror for the American people.

#3 has it. Why just wring our hands? When are we going to get tired of just wringing our hands? Someone come up with a bumper sticker for Christians so we can DISPLAY our full-throated support for our Jewish neighbors! I am not a bumper sticker gal generally but it´s time to BE public about this, isn´t it?

Make the state of the Jews in 2013 a reality show instead of Say Yes to the Dress Hollywood or Jersey Shore Encore.

#1, you are an American with the right to carry and need not cower in fear. The Danes have no such right and have to hide in their cellars. I wonder if there is a lesson there?

If we do not stand up for Jews, after banning the Star of David and kippah comes condemnation of wearing the cross.
Where is the outcry from mega churches or leaders who protect Islamic beliefs ?

"Never again."
Don´t count on it, although It helps to know who the enemy is, and prepare accordingly. American Jews seem to have allowed that talent to atrophy.

Barack Obama owes his presidency in no small part to the power of rhetoric. It´s too bad he doesn´t appreciate the damage that loose talk can do to America´s tax system, even as exploding federal deficits make revenues more important than ever. At his Arizona State University commencement speech last Wednesday, Obama noted that ASU had refused to grant him an honorary degree, citing his lack of experience .. He then demonstrated ASU´s point by remarking, " President [Michael] Crowe and the Board of Regents will soon learn all about being audited by the IRS."

The California Assembly passed a bill on Thursday that would make the state the first in the nation to allow non-citizens who are in the country legally to serve on jury duty. Assemblyman Bob Wieckowski, D-Fremont, said his bill, AB1401, would help California widen the pool of prospective jurors and help integrate immigrants into the community... Democratic lawmakers who voted for the bill said there is no correlation between being a citizen and a juror, and they noted that there is no citizenship requirement to be an attorney or a judge

The Senate’s pending immigration bill includes roughly 400 exemptions, exceptions, waivers, determinations and grants of discretion. The bill’s complexity is forcing opponents and supporters to comb through its 844 pages before they can declare their conditional support or opposition to the high-stakes measure. “WAIVER.—The Secretary, in the Secretary’s sole and unreviewable discretion, may waive the application of subparagraph (A) on behalf of an alien,” says one passage on page 71 of the complex document.

The leading edge of a large, powerful winter storm descended on the western United States on Wednesday, dropping snow as far south as Tucson, Arizona, and snarling evening rush-hour traffic in Denver. Snowfall sweeping the southeastern corner of Arizona blanketed the saguaro cactus-studded high desert with several inches of white stuff, leading the Professional Golfers´ Association to cancel play at a tournament near Tucson. The letter, signed by 173 fishermen in ports from Connecticut to Maine, came as the industry prepares for May 1 catch reductions that fishermen warn could finish off the fleet. Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
