Experts Call for End to
Climate Mega Summits

Spiegel [Hamburg, Germany], by Axel Bojanowski

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 12/14/2012 12:51:04 PM

The feeling of déjà vu was difficult to ignore. Immediately following the recently ended climate conference in Doha, German Environment Minister Peter Altmaier insisted that the gathering had "opened the door to the future of international climate protection." It was a comment reminiscent of so many attempts by top politicians in recent years to sell yet another failed climate summit as a success. This year, the summit barely avoided collapse by forging a last-minute agreement that the 2015 meeting would be the one at which a global emissions reduction deal would be decided.

Comments:
While the "climate change" experts won´t admit it, it´s all their use of fossil fuel to and from these conferences, as well as climate controlled hotels and vehicles that cause the heinous imaginary beast they wish to slay.

Hypocrites, but well paid and fed.

The earth began the current trend of warming 21k yrs ago, and has not slowed , nor does it have to do with anything we have or have not done, save surviving it all.
Emissions have nothing to do with it.
These guys need real jobs.

This might be an indication that government bloodsuckers are sensing an increasing reluctance by their respectve electorates to pay real money so as to satisfy crackpots.
Except in the good ol´ USA, where Obama voters will support any expenditure of other peoples´ money.

Actually - according to the IPCC´s own temperature *facts* (not ´predictions), there has been NO warming over the last decade (the decade Al Gore assured us would result in a global apocalypse...), and we´re now on the ´third´ revision of the ´politically correct´ nomenclature (from ´Global Warming´ to ´climate change´ to ´abnormal weather conditions...) in an attempt to sell a bill of goods with NO empirical supporting evidence.

True believers may want to note that even those pushing the faux science can´t keep their stories straight - now *admitting* that ´solar effects are greater than assumed´.

See Anthony Watt´s up with that´ site for an interesting look at - ´IPCC AR5 draft leaked, contains game-changing admission of enhanced solar forcing´.

As James Delingpole notes - the greentards aren´t having much better luck selling their apocalyptic predictions than the Mayans are.

Carry on! The climate doesn´t require insanity to function as it always has.

A veteran Fox executive who used her company email account to plan aid for loved ones of the missing Malaysian airplane´s passengers has been fired. Darlene Tipton, who was vice president of standards and practices for the Fox Cable Networks Group, said Saturday she had wanted to arrange swift financial aid to families and other loved ones, sparing them lengthy court fights. They may be 10,000 miles away from home, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge began Easter Sunday in traditional style by attending Church. Looking elegant in a dove grey Alexander McQueen coat with Jane Taylor Hat, Kate and her husband, Prince William, attended morning service at St Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney city centre. Kate´s hair had been coiffed underneath her hat in an elegant half up, half down style. Obama signs Ted Cruz bill into law,

President Obama on Friday signed into law a bill authored by Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz that would bar an Iranian diplomat from entering the United States, but immediately issued a statement saying he won´t enforce it. Obama decided to treat the law as mere advice. "Acts of espionage and terrorism against the United States and our allies are unquestionably problems of the utmost gravity, and I share the Congress´s concern that individuals who have engaged in such activity may use the cover of diplomacy to gain access to our Nation," Obama said in his signing statement. "Nevertheless, as President [George H.W.] Bush also observed,

Jeb Bush’s recent musings on a possible presidential run—and his comments on immigration, rankling many in the Republican grassroots—sparked a familiar clash. Jeb, the establishment’s preferred candidate, some said, could neutralize the fiery GOP base in 2016. Conservatives shot back that Jeb would depress conservative turnout, and his last name would play poorly with the general electorate. It’s a constant tension: The base is unhappy with the establishment, and vice versa. But this year, the marriage of convenience between the grassroots of the party and its donor class has emerged so battered from eight years of

Tehran, Iran - Iran will redesign its Arak heavy water reactor to greatly limit the amount of plutonium it can make, the country´s vice president said Saturday, marking a major concession from the Islamic Republic in negotiations with world powers over its contested nuclear program. The comments by Vice President Ali Akbar Salehi comes as the talks face an informal July 20 deadline to hammer out a final deal to limit Iran´s ability to build nuclear arms in exchange for ending the crippling economic sanctions it faces. Iranian state television quoted Salehi, who heads the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, as saying that Iran has

Washington - As President Barack Obama travels through Asia this coming week, he will find a region that’s warily watching the crisis in Ukraine through the prism of its own territorial tensions with China. Each of the four countries on Obama’s itinerary — Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines — has a dispute with Beijing over islands in the South and East China Seas. (Snip) Administration officials, including Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, have taken a tougher line on the territorial issues in recent weeks, sternly warning China against the use of military force and noting that the U.S. has not formally taken sides on the question

Twelve gold bars removed

Doctors can be hard people to shock, but a recent case left one surgeon flabbergasted. A 63-year-old man came to hospital complaining of vomiting and stomach pain. He claimed he´d swallowed the lid of a bottle in an act of anger during a marital dispute, and was given an x-ray. Doctors knew what they were seeing was no bottle cap, but it was not until they operated on the man that the source of his complaint was revealed. Twelve bars of gold weighing nearly 400g were found in the man´s stomach and removed. The BBC reports that police and customs authorities had questioned the businessman and confiscated the gold.

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after
