In popular wisdom, one-time presidential runner-up Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) is likely to be nominated by President Barack Obama for Secretary of Defense or Secretary of State. But if Kerry does get the nod, a group credited with helping to thwart his presidential bid could re-organize to take him down once again. The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group formed of military veterans who served alongside Kerry, worked to bring attention to the senator’s anti-war activities following his military service and to raise doubts about the truth of Kerry’s own accounts of his conduct
The Swift boat veterans were not about politics but truth. One would think men that value honor above base politics would be willing to address Jon Carey´s past and immune to the usual Kneepad media´s vitriol.
I donated to them once..tell me where to send this donation.....JUAN FRAUD KERRY...I can only hope this a***ole gets raked over the coals..but, I know our noodle spined Rinos will go along to get along..reaching across the aisle..MY FRIEND...GAG!!!!
Kerry doesn´t shoot his mouth off? What about if you don´t go to college, you wind up "stuck in Iraq?" What about his false testimony about soldiers performing atrocities "reminiscent of ´Jenjis´ Khan?" I don´t care if it was a long time ago; he never disavowed that testimony.
When I think of what my Uncle went through in the hell that was Vietnam and to this day cannot be awakened suddenly, and how this snake of a man slithered out to falsify testimony against " fellow soldiers" it makes my blood boil!! I best not say anymore, lest I be banninated.
There´s a lot to not like about Kerry but compared to the average thugs Obama has in his network,Kerry seems reasonable. I think the swift vets were against Kerry for the Pentagon, not sure about SoS but I have a suspicion he´ll sail through anyway.
John Kerry is a disgrace to both the Senate and if it were possible Massachusetts. IMHO anyone who believes he will be "better" than Clinton doesn´t know Kerry´s record. He testified before Congress about Vietnam, with lies about "winter soldier", making life even more miserable for POW´s and OUR Military while he polished his THREE Purple Hearts for a total of less than 10 weeks in Vietnam. He should have been tried AS a traitor. That´s who Kerry is. He is certainly NOT simply a harmless dunce residing in a mansion paid for by his wife´s long-dead Republican husband. He would be a danger to this Country. Good Grief!
You betcha! We do not forget treason. We do not forget those who betray our brothers. We do not forget those who use the military for their own aggrandizement. Just you wait. John F´n Kerry is the same miscreant that he was in 2004. Nothing has changed.

In the world of ´real politik´ this is probably a done deal. The Senate won´t object to Mr. Kerry´s lies for he is a member of the club. I wish the Swiftee´s all the good fortune available this Christmas Season, but the only impediment to Mr. Kerry is the Senate, and we know what their ethics are like.
"Gigolo traitor" sums it up nicely. The people of Massachusetts should be ashamed of themselves for thrusting this weasel on the American people. I hope the swifties run thousands of ads with video clips of his testimony and throwing his medals. Throw in a few hanoi jane photos for association. Too many voters are not old enough to remember those times.
These past few days have been kind of like a Class Reunion: first, Ms. Clinton´s hair story got all the fun nicknames going again- PIAPS, PETUIATE, Monica´s Boyfriends´ Wife, Cankles, etc., etc. -now today, with the Susan Rice withdrawal, we get to hear all the vintage Kerry stuff- Jenjhis John, Monsewer Jean-Fraud Cair-ree, Lurch, Horseface, etc. Kind of relieves the post -election funk, putting the old sportsman back in a good mood. Looking forward to getting back in the fray. First to last, a chance to gloat is all we ask.
As a proud Vietnam vet (survivor), I´ll contribute (again) to any Swiftboat campaign. Kerry is lying traitor and sefl-aggrandizing SOB. He was no ´hero´ but all pretense. I know of no other junior officer who took a movie camera to ´Nam to film his "exploits." Those of us who were smeared by his libels also know that the only guys who got to leave before their year was up were either very seriously wounded, or in a transfer case with a toe tag. Dishonest and a phony, Kerry would make a terrible representative for our nation to the world.
If you want The Haughty, French-Looking John Kerry to get bloodied during his confirmation as Sec State, you´ll need to look outside his buddies in the Senate for it. McCain and Graham will roll over and show their bellies immediately. So the Swifties are the ONLY group that will provide insight and ask questions about this "90 day Wonder" and his shameful, self-promoting, yet cowardly performance as a "soldier".
Certainly they will if he´s nominated for Sec´y of Defense.
Given the dims´ bench you always have to ask yourself which of the evils is Mr. or Ms. Lesser. With Rice vs. Kerry: which do you prefer, a liar or a traitor? The choices are likely to be so appalling that people will begin to miss the PIAPS.
All you younger people, GET and WATCH the video of his testimony before Congress. (His phony accent makes me sick). He was trying to imitate the Kennedys. Kerry gave aid and comfort to the enemy. He has NO right to represent America. Kerry has he is own shrine in the Viet Nam Museum. My spouse died of Viet Nam related illness. NO Kerry.
I, for one, will never forget nor forgive the horse-faced, gigolo, wannabe elitist who put himself in for numerous fictitious awards and then utilized them to "game" his Vietnam Tour from 12 months down to 3.
As if that were not enough to never be allowed to show his face again in this country, he opportunistically joined Jane Fonda and the "Vietnam Vets Against The WAR" to falsely claim before Congress that American troops were raping, murdering, looting, etc. to ingratiate himself with the scum who he then embraced as his political base. When the Officers with whom he briefly served in Vietnam rose up as a group to denounce Kerry as "Unfit to Command," the media bent over backwards to denounce them as "Swift boating" and as being without merit. Thank God for those Swift Boat leaders! Without them Kerry and his partner, the now disgraced John Edwards, would have very likely been elected. Count me among those who will shout from the roof top that John Kerry is a Knave and a Fool!
Only difference I can see between Rice and Kerry, is that Kerry has learned the subtle art of the quiet backstab as opposed to Rice and her ´flipping the bird´ out in the open. I am convinced that when Kerry and McCain went to VN back in the middle 90´s they nailed the coffin shut on finding out if there are any more of our pow´s still there.
John Kerry is an unjailed traitor to this country. If the voters of MA are too ignorant to not see through him, that is their problem, not mine. I am all for the Swift Boaters taking this guy on again.
There´s a page on FaceBook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/390110827730755/permalink/398184660256705/#!/groups/390110827730755/ that is for like minded veterans and Americans who are appalled at the idea of this TRAITOR getting ANY further that being "elected" by fools in Mass. I´m sure that this is just one of many site dedicated to keeping this TRAITOR out. The ONLY advantage would be the possibility of Scott Brown getting aBACK into the Senate.
There is no one in the Democrat stable that is honest or trustworthy. Not one. So in the long run it doesn´t make any difference who Obama nominates. They are all Communists and this is exactly what has been planned for decades. Will the Swift Boaters show up for this fight? I certainly hope so. One of our friends who fought in Nam is pretty discouraged at every thing that has happened. He said he fought the Commies in Nam when he was young, but he never thought he would have to still be fighting them at age 70. Yeah, me either, but it is what it is. They´re here and now they are clear and it´s time to stop them before it´s too late.
Since j. kerry no longer works with hanoi jane as Ho Chi Minh´s propagandist will it take on the illegal alien blasphemous al Qaeda impostor curtsying queer bar queen Ø´blow the blamer ?´s imam of choice muckwhat ahmadinejad´s place?
No doubt it´s moto will be Ala Akbar to all yaw´all
Democrats have a real knack for putting their most unworthy, ill-suited, damaged goods up on pedestals. Those Democrats get away with doing so primarily because their loyal, lapdog media enthusiastically morph into their corrupt “invent, omit and distort” modes. Hence John Kerry, Barack Obama and the most popular, beloved, idolized Democrat of all… Bill “Kiss it!” Clinton.
How fortunate we are to have the courageous Swift Boat Veterans to expose the truth about Kerry. If called upon, may they do it once again!
Unfortunately for the nation, all the democrats have left are damaged goods. Just look around ,"I voted Present" 0blmer, lying plagerist Biden, Futures Trader Clinton, RealEstate Magnmate Ried, Baltimore Hach Pelosi, etc.
At least if Kerry stays in the senate, Massachusetts can boast having two senators with a ficticious curriculum vitae
Heard on the radio that little john mcpain supports kerry. mcpain might have served honorably in Viet Nam and been a POW, BUT, he was about the worst Republican candidate, EVER, for President. I guess he appreciates kerry so much as kerry also dumped a first wife and picked a richer trophy wife. kerry betrayed our Country, called my brother, two nephews and other U. S.ServicePersonnel, murderers, rapists, wanton killers and more while kissing up to the viet cong.
I will only hope that if the escapee from "The Adams Family" gets the nod for SecState from Odumbo that the SBVs help take him out. Kerry is nothing but a traitorous turncoat who uses people to get ahead. He used Vietnam vets to start his career in politics. Heck the only reason that this oaf is the 2nd richest member of congress is because he married 2 rich women. One of those women is a left wing pinko but whatever. If Lurch goes down in flames it will be 0-2 for the Obamanation
The Senate is an elite club they protect their own regardless of party affiliation....as McCain has said in the past the president won the election and he deserves to nominate anyone so i will vote for him ,elections have consequences
I could not agree more with all of your negative comments on John Kerry. But, just to let you know, here in MA there is a hope (I hope not in vain) that if he vacates a his Senate seat, we might be able to return Scott Brown to the Senate.
Kerry´s got a friend in McCain and probably other senators as well- those who aren´t particularly concerned about his past anti American antics. He´ll make it. We seem to be living in a whole different time.
I´d like to nominate his hindquarters for a visit from my right combat boot.......it´s a wonder that this oaf never got "fragged"....NEVER give him any credence again in this great country, he, like Obama, is a FRAUD! J. Fraud Kerry, reporting for doo-dee....
If I were on the confirmation panel, one of my questions would be: "Senator Kerry, did you at any time bring to the attention of any law enforcement or intelligence agency Mr. Scott Camil´s serious proposal to assassinate several United States Senators?
When Mohammad Hamedi Rad arrived in the United States last year, he carried his Iranian passport, a hard-won student visa and a backpack containing $14,000 in hundred dollar bills, because there was no simpler way of getting money into the country. "It was scary," Hamedi Rad, a chemical engineering graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, said of his late-night arrival in Chicago, where he declared the funds to airport customs officials. "I´ve never carried that much money before. I was extremely nervous." Hamedi Rad´s experience is by no means unheard of among many of the thousands of
This spectacle had to have the white-hot spotlight, front page, bold type (whoa-oh!) — to quote one of the evening’s celebrated songwriters — because this Kennedy Center Honors gala was a talker. The night might have begun as the latest parade of cultural icons seated in an opera box with their president, but when a rapper and a Supreme Court justice take the same stage, it isn’t your standard lifetime achievement fete. (Snip) The show — hosted by actress Glenn Close — began with a resounding rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” played by Cuban jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. Should anyone
The "Piano Man" who became one of the world´s best-selling artists of all time with such hits as "Just the Way You Are," "Uptown Girl" and "Allentown" is being awarded the nation´s highest honor Sunday for influencing American culture through the arts. Billy Joel joins Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock, opera star Martina Arroyo and actress Shirley MacLaine in receiving the Kennedy Center Honors. All of them have been playing music, dancing or singing since they were children -- and have never stopped. Joel said the honor stands apart from his six Grammys. "This is different. It´s our nation´s capital," he
Couples should not have children if their relationship is not stable enough to merit getting married, a senior High Court judge said yesterday. Sir Paul Coleridge said those couples whose relationship was stable enough to cope with the rigours of child rearing should marry. But the judge, who is retiring from the bench next year after decades as a family lawyer and judge, said those who did not feel ready for children should not have them. He said couples had no right to have children, “you only have responsibilities if you have them”. Sir Paul criticised warring parents’ obsessions with
Thursday’s sad passing of world civil rights icon Nelson Mandela was a frequent topic of discussion at Friday’s White House daily briefing, as several reporters asked Press Secretary Jay Carney to elaborate on Mandela’s influence, and on details surrounding his funeral. CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta asked about “this great impact” that Mandela had on the President, while repeatedly stressing that President Obama had only met Mandela once. Acosta began with a personal observation, telling Carney that “it just sort of struck me that the President talked about this great impact that he had on his life, but
As an unrelenting wintry storm threatens to choke the Mid-Atlantic into Sunday evening, intrepid NFL players duked it out in Philadelphia amid white-out conditions. The potent system battered the South and Midwest in recent days and now, as it creeps East, it has the Eagles and visiting Detroit Lions both battling major snow. While the blizzard has professional athletes struggling to stay ahead of the weather, a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow is delivering a sloppy smorgasbord from the Mid-Atlantic through southeastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey.
The two drugs have been declared equivalently miraculous. Tested side by side in six major trials, both prevent blindness in a common old-age affliction. Biologically, they are cousins. They’re even made by the same company. But one holds a clear price advantage. Avastin costs about $50 per injection. Lucentis costs about $2,000 per injection. Doctors choose the more expensive drug more than half a million times every year, a choice that costs the Medicare program, the largest single customer, an extra $1 billion or more annually. Spending that much may make little sense for a country burdened by ever- rising health
The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
More young men in California rise in pitch at the end of their sentences when talking, new research shows. This process is known as "uptalk" or "valleygirl speak" and has in the past been associated with young females, typically from California or Australia. But now a team says that this way of speaking is becoming more frequent among men.The findings were presented at the Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in California. "We found use of uptalk in all of our speakers, despite their diverse backgrounds in socioeconomic status, ethnicity, bilingualism and gender," said Amanda Ritchart, a linguist at the University of
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
DAVID CORN: I saw a president who remains frustrated with the political-media culture that he has to work within, and that he´s looking to rally people, students here, and supporters, and people within the media. CHRIS MATTHEWS: But David Corn, you skeptic. He came to us today. He came amongst us. CORN: He´s trying to rally people behind this vision that he´s been promoting for a couple years. FINEMAN: By the way, he did it the end here, today, Chris, not by defending specifics, but by explaining why he´s in the game to begin with. And I don´t know about you, he´s
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their
