Tax Hike ´Beginning´
of a Deficit Solution

CNN´s Wolf Blitzer said Thursday that the Democratic fiscal cliff plan of raising tax rates on the top two percent of income earners is the "beginning" of a solution. "But it´s a beginning. A billion here, a billion there, it winds up being real money," Blitzer told Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) on Thursday´s The Situation Room. Blitzer had already pushed House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to consider tax hikes in a fiscal cliff deal. [Video below the break. As we all learned in the "Birther" charade, Leftists don´t do evidence, they do ´narrative´.

They share this disturbing trait with the denizens of Ward D in the hopeless section of most major mental hospitals.

Oh just shut up Wolfie. You are not real source of information. I would like to ask these journalists (use term loosely) how they feel about helping the destruction of the country just so they can party at the WH. Trolls

Tax revenues drop precipitously but they´ll make it up with higher rates. You really can´t fix stupid.
How come everytime they aim at the wealthy with their higher rates they hit me?

Reply 9 - Posted by: nina584, 12/7/2012 2:19:53 PM     (No. 9053984)

#8 That´s because the wealthy is looking for tax free or delayed income instruments as we speak. Why pay this bozo any money. You bring it out when favorable rates are about. That´s the reason why low taxes increase government revenue.

Reply 10 - Posted by: ocjim, 12/7/2012 2:59:07 PM     (No. 9054040)

Ignore him. Wolf Blitzer famously soiled himself on Celebrity Jeopardy!, finishing $4600 in the red with surprisingly unknowledgeable responses to Celebrity-friendly clues.

Wolf Blitzer = Department Store Dummy. Hat tip Michael Savage.

Reply 12 - Posted by: Davids918, 12/7/2012 3:01:07 PM     (No. 9054045)

#4, I agree, but would like to see Republicans to stop acknowledging the "narrative" and state what a "narrative" actually is, and that´s a STORY.

So, we state, the Democrat story is....

I do see this new line from Wolf as trial balloon from the Dems as they´re probably starting to realize the top 2% taking increase in tax rates won´t pay for even 1 week of this administration´s gov´t spending.

And I´d like to see the Republicans state clearly that, "for this administrations spending we have collected 54% but must borrow the other 46%".

With all this unprecedented spending, and borrowing, the economy is STILL this weak?

This is like making a lousy product and then when sales revenue doesn´t meet expectations and can´t pay the bills, simply raise the price and increase the margin to make up the difference.
Yup, that´ll fix it...

Oh snap! I forgot. That only fails in the nasty capitalistic world of productivity!

I´m not sure if these comments about wolf blitzer don´t qualify as hate speech. The man obviously has some sort of mental disability.

Tax hikes only feed Obama´s addiction to spending money on failures like Solyndra and electric cars.

Memo to Howitzer Explosion Guy ("Party on, Wayne!"): Not when you´re $16 TRILLION in debt, you idiot.

And thanks, #10, for reminding us of that demonstration of his remarkable mental prowess.

Higher taxes makes the demonrat´s eyes glow. Here´s what they will do with the overall decreased revenue:

1) Spend and borrow even more money on more useless programs like that $100+M acquarium in some South American country; and
2) Ignore the massive debt.

The Senate voted down an amendment to the upper chamber´s immigration bill proposed by Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) that would require a full biometric visa tracking system placed at every land, sea, and air port of entry in the United States before legalized immigrants could receive green cards. The measure, which was also called for by the 9/11 Commission in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, would establish a biometric exit-entry system. The immigration reform bill drawn up by the Senate Gang of 8 would boost the economy and lower the deficit, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office says in a report out today. The newly released, and highly anticipated, report from the government’s nonpartisan bookkeeper comes as the Senate debates the bipartisan immigration legislation offered by the Gang of 8 and the House moves forward on a more piecemeal approach. The report, “The Economic Impact of S. 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act,” says overall the legislation

NEW YORK — The New York Police Department´s widespread spying programs directed at Muslims have undermined free worship by innocent people and should be declared unconstitutional, religious leaders and civil rights advocates said Tuesday after the filing of a federal lawsuit. "Our mosque should be an open, religious and spiritual sanctuary, but NYPD spying has turned it into a place of suspicion and censorship," Hamid Hassan Raza, an imam named as a plaintiff, told a rally outside police headquarters shortly after the suit was filed in federal court in Brooklyn.

Mixed-race people are more likely to be considered black by conservatives, who are subconsciously attempting to “justify racial divisions,” said the authors of a new government-funded study. The report, originally released earlier this month, has begun attracting criticism from those who see political bias in the results. The study was conducted by graduate students and faculty in the psychology department of New York University. Researchers asked participants to look at pictures of mixed-race people and say whether they

The Clintons are getting the old band back together again for one last geriatric tour. Hillary 2016. Because 22 years of Clintons dominating the Beltway isn’t enough. Her campaign slogan: “Vote for me. I am a woman. What difference does it make?” The Draft Hillary movement is really taking off. There hasn’t been this much excitement behind a Draft Hillary movement since, well, the last time there was a Draft Hillary movement. Remember that? Back in 2008? When she was the “inevitable nominee?” She was the “most electable” Democrat running? She was the only one who

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
