Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin apologized Monday night for describing some Congressional Republicans as “wusses” who are being “wobbly” on conservative principles in the fiscal cliff debate. “Well I guess I shouldn’t call politicians names, so I apologize for calling the wobbly ones wusses,” Palin said on Fox News. (Snip) “The point is that we are a bankrupt country,” she added. “There isn’t enough money in the world to pay back the future generations that we have stolen from and foreign countries that we have borrowed from and, through quantitative easing,
I have said before that Sarah needs to cultivate a more serious image. That means no words or phrases like wusses, lamestream media, cojones, etc. It´s a small thing that could yield big rewards--for her and for the country.
Amen #5. I´ll never fully forgive the republican establishment for what they did to her and to her family. Conservative mothers like Sarah are some of the only people left with enough courage to stand up to the beltway bullies and rino wusses in the GOP. Don´t apologize Sarah. Those wusses stood by and watched our nation crumble. They deserve to be called much worse.
When Jack Nickolson uttered the famous line, "You can´t handle the truth!"- he could have been talking about the GOP leadership. We got in line, and once again voted for the candidate we were told to, and LOST, again.
Sarah, no apologies necessary. Boehner on the other hand....
It is easy for Gov Palin to say whatever she wants as she holds no office and she cannot be voted out of that office. Boehner, like him or not, is accountable for things that do or do not get done on his watch.
I love that she says anything she wishes, and hope she continues. We have a free press, so far, although it may not last much longer. If you don´t like, agree or understand it, that is your misfortune.
Oh, and America is not bankrupt and the future is not hopeless. If we had the good sense to elect someone who understands business, or at the very least someone who took Accounting 101 somewhere along the way, the conversation would be very different, on both sides of the aisle.
Sara is right! She knows our majority leader is going to cry and shake, and most of the rest of them have been blackmailed to do the same. Thus they are wusses. We need to break this system before it breaks us. Look alive, people! And now the marxists are coming for the big money boys and girls, not just us low-lifes. But Sara still scares the beejeebers out of all of them and I think of her as Saint Sara of Wasilla. They all have done everything but burn her at the stake, but she is still strong. God bless you, Sarah.
Read it carefully. Her ´apology´ was a double-down insult, and the wussus deserve every word. Her further comments about our already being over the cliff and pleading for the govt to stay out of our lives are spot-on.
When it comes to facing danger in one´s life, I would guess that Gov. Palin and her family run about the same risks as the average cop or fireman, more than a rear-echelon soldier and less than a combat troop. She undoubtedly has a substantial file of death threats to herself and her loved ones, and I hope her security is adequate. At least she can afford it. I´d cite the old saw about ´´walking a mile in her shoes,´´ but her critics couldn´t do it. And yes, I wish her language was a bit less folksy, but only so she wouldn´t get knocked for telling the truth in words that let some self-exalted types get away with ignoring what she says by criticizing how she says it.
It was a throwaway line, an afterthought. Naturally, CNN and its one-time students of News Manipulation 101, made it their headline.
Just as night follows day, you can count on it. Her threads always bring out the nitpickers, shallow thinkers and the just plain incorrect counties heard from.
Sarah Palin is an expert at being herself. In the seedy, seamy, secretive world of Politics, anyone who is genuine is looked upon suspiciously by the knee-jerk, pseudo-sophisticated gullible class. It’s refreshing to have someone say what she means, means what she says and if you don’t care for that sort of thing, sorry, but she’s not gonna put on a phony act just for you.
(“Did you catch that? Gonna? Not Going to? How déclassé! Who wrote this? Some commoner, I would imagine.”)
I wish Mrs Palin would have used some of her supposed "cojones" to have her supporters an herself, get behind Gov Romney, along with Ron Paul an his supporters. Just maybe we might have Obama packing for Hawaii. Anyone know what the feud was between Romney an Palin??
Obama had an effective unemployment rate>16%, borrowing in the stratosphere, chronic deficits and a foreign policy that is pregnant w/laughter worthy of Aristophanes or Moliere. Predictibly, the GOP found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by nominating Wuss #1, Dudley-Do-Right. And Sara Palin is the problem????????????????
Who on the right gets their message out better than Palin? Her time was, and will be again. After selling out the country to have a seat in government, most republicans won´t have any integrity left; their weakness is cowardliness. We know we can trust her. Who else can you trust, besides Rush, Mark and Shawn? I´ve thrown out all the wussy republican pitch letters received this year. Call the spade a spade: he is already our dictator in his rotten head, and until that and he ends, we are not free.
Delicious truth speaker,Sarah, is back. The Romney camp insulted her by not inviting her to speak at their convention, so why expect her to throw her support in his direction. She has her finger on the buttons better than any of the so called republicans. Things have become too ugly and entrenched politically that it is time to abandon party labels altogether. People can vote for whom they perceive is the best person to represent the constituents interests. Those who go to Congress with the best intentions invariably get overwhelmed by the party enforcers - as we have seen happen to too many of our good tea party candidates who made it to DC, only to be suborned by or ignored by the leadership machine. I think and believe the R party days are numbered, they are proven born losers as presently constituted.
re the content of some posters opinion on Sarah: It´s an East vs West thang.
Anybody born West of the big Sipiy gets Sarah. Yup we´re all unwashed boogerpickers out here in Resource Land. And of course, we´re the ones who LIVE in (all) the natural resources and not only know how to extract them, but were born to do it. So, we have to be discredited. Hence the meme: all Westerners are unwashed and "hicky". ooooh, I´m crushed; tears; i got tears in my eyes.
Flip side: Anybody who talks Eastern is an enemy. Plagues come out of the east, so do locusts. Think about it. Foggy Bottom is aligned with darker forces to the East.
We lost the election (without a landslide it was always gonna be a loss) cuz we won´t stop fighting amongst ourselves.
Boehner´s, et al, white flags have done it for me! My 73 yrs, E-8 Ret., image in the mirror tells me time to say Ciao! to GOP. Apologies to RR, you will always be the best Prez ever. Sarah could be your shadow.
Gee. If Palin HAD openly supported Romney…and he still lost…to listen to some, it would have been Palin´s fault! The criticism would have been that she should have kelp her mouth shut! When it comes to her, it´s ´damned if you do, damned if you don´t.´
She should not have said wusses. More accurate might have been pansies, cowards, turncoats, poltroons, or just plain wenises. My former party is free to wallow in their own corruption until their last gasp of relevance. From those tainted ashes I hope to see the rise of a new conservative party; one that loves this country more than its own power. If Sarah is at the helm, all the better. Former GOP leadership and apologists need not apply.
You astute conservatives here get it... like 13, 18, 26... and many others above... When an apology is not an apology... [Mothers of siblings get it!]. It´s a reiteration that can be taken two ways... a double entrendre ... Shakespeare used it often...
Sarah knows exactly what she is saying... she speaks conviction, with courage and conscience...
I am glad she is back!
[... for the usual posters that still don´t get it, go read Ted Nugent´s article above...]
Palin exceeded our expectations four years ago. Deep down we know there is no man in America cool enough, "macaroni" enough, champion enough, experienced enough, God fearing enough, and inspiring enough to draw all other men to his soul as he leads against the foe. There is no man here who will even name the foe. We sort of don´t want another Thatcher, potentially emasculating our weak and broken heroes, doing it for us backwards and in high heels. But even less do we want Romney, Ryan, Jeb, Rick or Fatso. We have no future, unless Palin figures out how to explain this dark age, or gets out of the way.
Sarah Palin is keeping up the infomercial peddler charge against President Barack Obama, criticizing his “ShamWow” speech in Boston and accusing him of lying to the American people. (Snip) “For starters we anticipated a presidential apology for lying to Americans repeatedly when he promised things like, ‘If you like your current health care plan, you can keep it.’ Make no mistake, he knew he was lying when he said that,” Palin wrote. “Was remorse and sympathy shown for Americans who now can’t afford health insurance thanks to Obamacare? Nope. … Obama didn’t lie to you when he said, ‘if you
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she would be "disappointed" in the American electorate if Hillary Clinton becomes a serious candidate for president in 2016. The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee argued Clinton would not be right for the role as commander in chief after four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, died last year in a terrorist attack against a U.S. consulate in Benghazi. (Snip) She said "anyone who would just throw away 200 years of military ethos and leave our men behind to be murdered" should "never be considered as a commander in chief."
Americans who are fed up with Obamacare won a victory yesterday. The House voted to defund Obamacare while still funding the federal government to avoid a “devastating” shutdown. (I shall not digress, but it’s beyond distressing to hear liberals try to convince Americans that any government slowdown is comparable to “terrorism.”) (Snip) I want no pity. I need no empathy. But use me as a barometer. Over the years, the leftwing media has falsely and irrationally accused me of everything from faking a pregnancy to abetting murder. They lie. Deal with it.
Now we can say it without a doubt: Seattle has the loudest fans in the world. During the Seahawks-49ers game Sunday, the 12th Man broke the Guinness World Record for loudest crowd roar, the record attempt’s organizer said. We have yet to officially confirm the report from former Seahawks player Joe Tafoya, but he tweeted from the field that the record had been broken. Seahawks fans hit 131.9 decibels, according to The Seattle Times, after the Seahawks and 49ers returned to the field from a weather delay. The previous record was 131.76 decibels, set during a 2011 soccer match at
It was an overcast, albeit relatively mild August day by Washington D.C. standards, fifty years ago today, as I joined the thousands walking along Constitution Avenue toward the Lincoln Memorial. Many of those in the crowd who had traveled vast distances by busses and cars from all over the nation, but in particular the deep South, had a look of apprehension bordering on fear, not knowing what to expect from the police and those vehemently opposed to unfettered civil rights. Despite the trepidation and regardless of skin color, nationality or faith all were determined to compel the nation to listen
Sarah Palin joined Eric Bolling on Fox News this morning to take a mini-victory lap over some Democrats suddenly embracing the idea she put forth years ago over health care “death panels.” Palin felt somewhat vindicated, but didn’t want to “condone them… for trying to jump off the Obama train wreck.” She told Bolling that rationing was in the health care law from the beginning, and the Democrats who didn’t notice it until now did not want to look like “buffoons.” (Snip) Palin proudly declared her allegiance to Team Rand, hitting Christie for his “schtick” of “set-up situations”
Back in September of 2008, Sarah Palin spoke at a Colorado Springs rally. During her address, she lamented the all-encompassing power of government sponsored mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. (Snip) She was, of course, pilloried for this. Virtually every mainstream media outlet pounced, accused her of ignorance, and reminded the American people that these were not taxpayer funded entities. Taxpayers simply weren’t a factor.
The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their

Each year, millions of tourists come from home and abroad to see the country´s majestic landscape and iconic sites, from the Grand Canyon to the Statue of Liberty. But there are also cool, quirky attractions, like Vermont´s Ben & Jerry´s Factory and Tennessee´s Graceland, the former home of Rock and Roll King Elvis Presley. From California to New York and everywhere in between, the country is chock-full of incredible attractions that keep luring in visitors. Here are the best tourist attractions in every state.
