Speaking at a forum at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy in Washington on Friday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Israel is suspicious of Palestinians and doesn’t care enough about their plight. “I’m not making excuses for the missed opportunities of the Israelis, or the lack of generosity, the lack of empathy that I think goes hand-in-hand with the suspicion,” Clinton said, after praising the country’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, for working with her in 2009 to offer a moratorium on building new Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
I half-expected the Hildabeest to quote Mayor Richard J. Daley´s gentle remark to Senator Abe Ribicoff at the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago [which I will not print here ´cause I wish to continue posting].
The Beast is awful, but at least the Dems are in lock-step in their hatred of Israel.
When the Palestinian people rise up against Muslims who teach their children to blow themselves up in crowded Israeli restaurants, synagogues and towns, perhaps we can talk about who is generous and who is not.
Perhaps when Israelis begin targeting innocents civilians rather than targeting the military and terrorists who have openly said they want to wipe Israel off the map, we can discuss generosity.
Perhaps when the very goal of Palestinian terrorists is to target civilians -- children and women are not matter -- we may be able to talk "generosity".
In the meanwhile, Hillary Clinton should stop listening to her anti-Israeli American puppeteers and get real.
FTA: “So, yes, there is more that the Israelis need to do to really demonstrate that they do understand the pain of an oppressed people in their minds, and they want to figure out, within the bounds of security and a Jewish democratic state, what can be accomplished,” Clinton added.
An oppressed people, really? The Palestinians have always been a pawn in the hands of Jewish hating Islamists. They need this so called "oppression" to justify their inbred hatred and gin up violence against Israel. This conflict is not about land. It is all about genocide. The Islamist will never seek peace with the Israelis because their goal is to wipe them from the face of the earth. They openly and enthusiastically say this. How do you negotiate with this mindset? Hillary and her fellow progs are no friend of Israel. They have thrown their lot in with the genocidal maniacs.
Yet, like the "won" she will get 80% of the solid Jewish Democrat vote in 2016. She is an embarrassment but we must now have a woman President now that we have checked the box for having a black. We have also now checked the box for Marxist / Communist as well with the votes in 2008 and 2012!
I guess I have had every ounce of energy squeezed out of me in the last election. I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it, while Jews voted for Obama. Now, I will rest, and accept God´s will. I wish Israel well.
Agree #21, #22. It was and is plain as the nose on your face what this Democratic Party is all about these days. Obama is anti-Israel, Hildebeast is anti-anybody as long is it is politically feasible for her to get votes. Still the Jewish community fell hook line and sinker and voted the Democrats back into power this past election. I´m drained, it is up to God, we´ve done what we can, I think we´ve passed the tipping point.
Lack of generosity? Like the Arab nations the Palestinians originated from? I recall seeing an article in US News & World Report, in regards to the Palestinian origins. They are "refugees" from other Arab nations, kicked out/displaced, with an ulterior motive by the original hosting Arab country to be a pain in the side to Israel.
How about being objective, Hildebeast and asking the Arab nations, where the Palestinians originated from, to step up and be generous? This mentality that Isreal owes anything to the Palestinians, just because they want Israeli lands, is obsurd. Israel gave them Gaza, so where do the wants end? Well, we already know-the Palestinians want it all.
Regardless of sky high unemployment and utter devastation of theor family strucure, blacks will support the Democrats. Deliberate and brazen imperilment of Israel will not stop the Jewish vote or the cash flow. Will the threshold ever be crossed with these people?
The Israelis have been far more compassionate to a deplorable bunch of primordial savages that are trying to kill them at every turn using any means at their disposal, than most cultures would be. When you try to help them they just bite the hand that feeds them. Remember what happened when they turned the Gaza strip over to them?
The Palis took over a well-run, prosperous area, (thanks to the Israelis) and like locusts proceeded to destroy the greenhouses and the sewage system, turning the strip into? yet another unproductive islamofascist slum. Then they proceeded to use it as a base to launch rockets at Israel...oh and of course dig tunnels. As far as the Hillbag is concerned, how anyone could take that lying hag seriously is really beyond my comprehension. She is as two-faced as it gets... and both of them are ugly as sin!
If my neighbor shot rockets at my house, after I generously gave him property and food, I would probably erase him and his house. The UN just gave a terrorist group statehood status, perhaps we should declare the UN an enemy too.
Hillary clinton is one of the most despicable candidates that the dems could run in 2016, therefore, expect her to be on the ticket.
I don’t suppose Hillary is in danger of losing the money and votes of American Jews no matter how much she disses Israel since liberal Jews in America don’t much care about Israel and probably agree with her. But some American Jews invested lots of their money to help the Palestinians build greenhouses in Gaza after Israel pulled out. The idea was to go beyond giving Palestinians a fish, which will feed them for a day, and to teach them to fish for themselves so they could feed themselves for their lifetimes.
It was a foolish idea at the time, the Palestinians want to make bombs, not flowers. The greenhouses were never built because the Palestinians tore them down before they were finished.
Need I remind each of you, 69% of American Jews voted to keep this type of foreign policy for at least four more years, even after of SOS and President did every thing short of shutting the door on Israel.
It´s a funny thing about people facing certain obliteration at the hands of those who hate them. When your suspicions about a evil mob of butcherous killers turn out to be spot on, kind of kicks that "empathy" and "generosity" stuff right out the window.
The great hypocrisy of it all is that should Israel finally decide to exterminate this murderous rabble from the face of the Earth, not a few of their "Arab brothers" would quietly breath a sign of relief.
What the idiot media never reveals is the percentage of homes in the "new settlements" are in actuality built for Palestinians. It is usually a considerable amount. That doesn´t keep their left hands clean, but does does improve their lot in life.
I´ve got nothing but contempt for this woman, who is going to skate on Benghazi and who others seem to think walks on water - that means you John McCain.
I wait for the Lord´s judgement, to free us from the bondage of fixed elections and a future of nothing but more Obama/Hillary/Susan Rice/Kerry/Jeb Bush/Pelosi/Sandra Fluke/Schumer..... May the Lord bless them with what they deserve.
It´s been a rough Sunday and this just does it for me today.
I think american jews are dems because FDR sent out the word to say he was a jew and his real name was roosenfelt. He was the first and worst of the dem presidents to get us into wars and trigger the Pearl Harbor attack. He wanted a 4th and 5th term as prez and fortunately, he died. He was very ill and no business running for his 3rd and 4th terms. Hyde Park was full of info from the people that worked at the estate and they loved Eleanor, but hated him.
That is not quite the real story #24. Arafat a plain everyday criminal was ousted from in Russia with a merry band of outlaws demanding the nation. As they made their way from one nation to another calling themselves the Palestine Liberation Army and creating one massacre after another they were rejected by all Arab countries. One climax was the attempt to kill the Jordan king and take over Jordan. That resulted in the deaths of 10,000 people before they were thrown out. They he then moved on to tear apart Lebanon. Only after Arafat decided he could gain Arab support by eliminating Israel did his band become Palestinians moving into Gaza and the West bank. That gang has lost out to hamas..
The Muzzies backed Bill´s library in Little Rock. The Clinton´s sold their old clothes (including Bill´s undies) to a resale shop when they were at the White House. I doubt they have ever given anything away that didn´t reap them rewards.
Wow. And this, from a woman who has left slime and ooze everywhere around the world, like the trail of the Giant African Snail (Achatina Fulica), including that bloody puddle in Libya, and thereafter on tv with Susan Rice doing and stand-in.
I never thought I could ever say this, but Hillary just might be a worse president than Obama -- but I don´t think he will ever give her a chance to see. I think Obama is going to want to do this for life - like a dictator. He is getting too much respect and swell head from this and I don´t think he will ever want to give it up. The people who put him in office think he is great - but I think they will see that he is not but it will be too late.
This coming from a woman who has a very corrupt history since the 70s Her list of failures especially reguarding Israel and the Jews are just too numerous to mention. I´ll just say thta she and her darling hubby have been big fans of Arafathead and the PLO for a long time. The fact that Cankles is our SecState is a joke. Just a thought since PIAPS is a liberal hag. What does she know about generosity and empathy?
Joshua Strange will never forget the girl he met in May 2011. Both were underclassmen at Alabama´s Auburn University when a common acquaintance introduced them. "We instantly became attached at the hip and did everything together," she recalled six months later. "I rather quickly moved into his place. . . . Everything was great until pretty much June 29." That night, an intimate encounter in Mr. Strange´s bed went wrong. She called police, who detained him for questioning. She said she had awakened to find him forcing himself on her; he said the sexual activity was consensual and initiated by
Sen. Ted Cruz isn’t on the ballot next year, but as candidates meet Monday’s filing deadline for Republican primaries, he appears ever-present. Cruz’s tea party-fueled, come-from-behind trouncing of David Dewhurst in the Senate race last year has provided him a gravitational pull that is moving GOP candidates further right and producing scores of would-be first-time officeholders. “You’ve got two things happening,” said Republican political consultant Bill Miller. One of them is the “Cruz phenomenon, and he is the phenom at this moment,” he said. “The other is that conservatives believe that if they’re going to succeed — with the Democratic administration in Washington
Six months after the Internal Revenue Service´s inspector general revealed that the tax-collection agency had been targeting conservative organizations for added scrutiny and delaying their applications for tax-exempt status, the IRS has proposed new rules for handling political activity by nonprofits. The proposed rules would plunge the agency deeper into political regulation. The rules would upset more than 50 years of settled law and practice by limiting the ability of certain tax-exempt nonprofits, organized under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, to conduct nonpartisan voter registration and voter education. Such organizations would be forbidden to leave records of officeholder votes
Fact: The IRS targeted conservative and tea party groups requesting tax-exempt status in the run-up to the 2012 presidential election. That’s a fact. Congress held hearings — embarrassing hearings. Three top Internal Revenue Service officials resigned. No heads rolled, but for the Obama administration, and the lawless Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., that amounted to a major scandal. Even White House spokesman Jay “Circus” Carney called the IRS’ actions “inappropriate.” Fact. But President Obama, in an interview last week with sycophant Chris Matthews, now says the entire scandal was made up by the media. “When we do things right, they don’t get
Bob Dole once made a droll crack to the New York Times about Newt Gingrich, then the speaker of the House. “Gingrich’s staff has these five file cabinets, four big ones and this little tiny one,” Dole said. “Number one is ‘Newt’s ideas.’ Number two, ‘Newt’s ideas.’ Number three, number four, ‘Newt’s ideas.’ The little one is ‘Newt’s Good Ideas.’” Here’s one from Gingrich’s little file: he has been pushing back against some of the more thoughtless conservative reactions to the death of Nelson Mandela. The backlash has ranged from the merely tone-deaf—think of Rick Santorum drawing comparisons between Obamacare and
More than any other subject, apolitical sorts will ask me about Fox News. “Is it really crazy?” my British friends inquire, flashing the sort of smile that a botanist might exhibit while examining a newly discovered species of moss. “Is it, like, really right wing?” The question has always slightly irritated me, showing as it does that the considerable success that the Left has had in demonizing its opposition extends even across the Atlantic. Certainly, both Fox’s commentary and its ostensibly straight reporting are marked by the right-leaning proclivities of its owners. But the notion that the network is unique in
The good news, if you want to call it that, is that roughly 1.6 million Americans have enrolled in ObamaCare so far. The not-so-good news is that 1.46 million of them actually signed up for Medicaid. If that trend continues, it could bankrupt both federal and state governments. Medicaid is already America’s third-largest government program, trailing only Social Security and Medicare, as a proportion of the federal budget. Almost 8 cents out of every dollar that the federal government spends goes to Medicaid. That’s more than $265 billion per year. Indeed, already Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid account for 48% of federal spending.
The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
A veteran Washington adviser who has worked for four Presidents on both sides of the political aisle said that the stunning Government Accountability Report report that found President Barack Obama has not had a one-on-one meeting with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius since the passage of Obamacare over three years ago is an indictment of the entire White House operation and shows that the Obama administration has bordered on "malfeasance." "I have no doubt the White House is right, that Secretary Sebelius was in several group meetings with the president about health care," Gergen caveated, "but the whole
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their
