A painting that features President Obama posed as Jesus Christ crucified on is on display at a community college art gallery in Boston. The painting by Michael D’Antuono is part of a larger exhibit called “Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012.” (Snip) The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head. It was originally supposed to debut nearly four years ago at New York City’s Union Square. But that event was cancelled due to public outrage. “I always regretted cancelling my exhibit in New York because

Comments:
For a person who mocks Christianity and then gets ugly when someone else depicts him as "The Joker," 0bama is sure to like this. The old "First Amendment rights."

Someone should commission the artist to do a painting depicting 0bama as the Muslim prophet Mohamed and see what catches on fire first, the painting exhibition or the artist.

I´d like to hear his reaction to this. An ordinary person would find it offensive and ask for it not to be displayed, if not destroyed. My guess is that he would say nothing and tacitly approve.

I guess this means it´s okay to place a picture of Zero in a jar of urine.

Concerning the painting, it´s simply blasphemy, Jamie Foxx´s stupid opinion duly and rightfully ignored.

I wonder if President Obama will comment on this "art" work. He might be well advised to read Acts 12, and see what happened to Herod when people proclaimed him God and he thought it was "cool."

This is nothing but pure left wing idolatry. Satan has taken over this country. It´s a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. As the story goes,God sent two angels disguised as men to destroy the two cities. He´d better have more than 2 angles on standby for all the cities that need destroying in this country.

Suggestion: remove that bleephead from the picture and insert one of the newborn infants who was left to die of exposure thanks to his vote against the IBA law.

There. That would fix it.

That is some ugly "art." Once again, an untalented artiste (Maplethorpe, Madonna, Minaj) gloms on to Christian imagery in a reach for acclaim and attention. It is getting old.

There is an abundance of mental illness in this country. That seems to be the one obvious natural resource the U.S. is filled with. And by the way the painting looks more like PurpleLipps doing a Nixon impersonation.

A more accurate picture of Obama from that historical period would be Obama entering D.C. in a parade of triumph as was done in Rome. He is an emperor, not a holy martyr for all mankind.

Washington - The National Archives on Friday released its largest batch yet of previously withheld documents from the Clinton administration, with topics including the conflicts in Somalia and Rwanda, Middle East peace negotiations, the Oklahoma City bombing and public figures as varied as Richard M. Nixon and Oprah Winfrey. The bundle that is likely to receive the most attention, though, is one that covers Hillary Rodham Clinton’s ill-fated attempt as first lady to overhaul the health care system. Mrs. Clinton, who ran for president in 2008, is considering a second attempt in 2016. Here are some notable sections:

Washington - The CIA’s former top lawyer disputes Senate findings that the spy agency lied about its brutal interrogations of terrorists, insisting the tactics produced useful intelligence and flatly denying that the CIA misled the former Bush administration, Congress and the American public. At the same time, John Rizzo, who left the CIA as acting general counsel in 2009, said some CIA employees or contractors were overzealous in the use of the tactics but that the CIA informed lawyers at the Justice Department of the excesses. Rizzo was responsible for helping to create the legal foundation for permitting waterboarding,

General Motors Co said it would ask a U.S. court to bar lawsuits related to actions before its 2009 bankruptcy, signaling a tougher stance toward legal claims stemming from its recent recall over faulty ignition switches. GM has said it is protected from liability for claims related to incidents that occurred before it exited bankruptcy in 2009, and has taken steps to raise those issues with the court by filing motions to stay recall-related lawsuits while it asks that bankruptcy court to clarify the extent of that protection. In a filing with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Tuesday, GM asked for a stay on litigation

Beijing - Chinese President Xi Jinping plans to use a purge of senior officials suspected of corruption to put his own men and reform-minded bureaucrats into key positions across the Communist Party, the government and the military, sources said. Xi hopes that removing corrupt officials and those resisting change will allow him to consolidate his grip on power and implement difficult economic, judicial and military reforms that he believes are vital to perpetuate one-party rule, said the sources, who have ties to the leadership. In the most far-reaching example of his intentions, Xi plans to promote about 200 progressive officials

According to a new study, spooning with your partner really does say something about your relationship. Researchers from the University of Hertfordshire surveyed 1,000 people and found that couples who maintained physical contact while they slept were more likely to report being happy in their relationship. An overwhelming 94% of couples who touch while sleeping said they were happy, while only 68% of couples who didn’t touch while snoozing expressed being satisfied with their relationship. Not only that, physical distance while sleeping seemed to translate into emotional distance.

New deportation cases brought by the Obama administration in the nation’s immigration courts have been declining steadily since 2009 and judges have increasingly ruled against deportations, leading to a 43 percent drop in the number of deportations through the courts in the last five years, according to Justice Department statistics released on Wednesday. (Snip) The statistics present a different picture of President Obama’s enforcement policies than the one painted by many immigrant advocates, who have assailed the president as the “deporter in chief” and accused him of rushing to reach a record of two million deportations.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
