Mommy´s girl grown up:

Looking every bit as poised and elegant as her mother, the long-limbed first daughter has taken the awkward out of adolescence with ease. In the weeks since election night, the emerging styles of the Obama daughters, and especially Malia, has taken center stage - the 14-year-old blossoming from the President´s wide-eyed ´baby´ into a self-assured young woman who has inherited her mother´s confidence, bold fashion sense and looks. Wearing a shiny blue full skirt from ASOS with a neon pink Zara belt, and J. Crew flats, Malia proved she has inherited her mother´s classic but bold sensibility

Methinks a vomit alert would not be inappropriate on this one.

It always amazes me how the left turn their politicians into rock stars, or demi-gods. They worship every hair on their heads, never hold them accountable for anything.

Fine.

Now we gotta put up with four more years of not only being bedazzled by Michelle My Belle Obama´s high-priced coutiere, but we gotta hear about the kid´s expensive tastes as well.

Too bad they aren´t paying for their $800 sneakers and $3500 dresses, or they might single-handedly do more for economic growth than hubby/daddy ever would do.

For those of you out there who think it is wrong to attack some young teen because the White House, probably at the instructions of Mama 0bama, put Malia in our face by claiming both have the real style sense that we should follow, you´re wrong. I have no problem with family pics and portraits, but saying she is a role model to young girls because of her Father´s job is way over the top.

I don´t believe it is an attack to say that this writer is blind. Or just another psychophant.

The most attractive girls are those who look pleasant. Not the sullen ones.

And she is the spitting image of her father.

There is not one single attractive Liberal/Democrat in public office.

Republican woman are smarter and attractive.

No attack. Just saying Madam Queen is a Fashion Victim who most often wears the wrong clothes for the occasion, ill-fitting (including too tight), and garish. The first Nickolodeon first lady is stuck in her teens. Maybe Malia will end up teaching mamma to dress?

Anything atributed to "staff" is usually something so awful you don´t want to put your name to it.

That picture of mommmy and daughter in their pedal pushers was enough to do me in. You say someone has a great sense of color when you don´t want to say that an outfit makes them look cheap or fat.

The young lady would be quite striking if she didn´t have her father´s perpetual chin-in-the-air look of scorn for those around her.

It has been a long time since we have had a Presidential son in the White House. Yes the elder Bush and Reagan had sons but they were grown men before their father´s became president.

I won´t pick on the girl and I wish her well, but for "staff" to insist that she inherited her remarkable sense of style to make her America´s next style icon makes me wonder if we´re talking about the same president´s wife. Surely they jest! Somewhere in the article there´s bound to be a hidden happy face or a "NOT" or "JUST TEASING TO SEE IF READERS ARE PAYING ATTENTION." There are way too many actual photos of the current First Lady floating around to refute the claim that she´s a fashion icon, poised and elegant. But then, remembering how many Americans voted for her husband in the recent election, it makes me wonder if a large segment of the population has any sense themselves, fashion or otherwise.

She definitely has Barack Obama´s body. As to her looks, I think the media judges women on looks too much. When I say media, I include women in the media who harp on and on about women´s looks. I never hear men harping on and on about other men´s looks unless they´re some batty queen.

At the end of the day, what you see with women in public is basically something that has layers of foundation, tons of mascara and rivers of lipstick. Where did au naturel go?

As someone said, do not read the Daily Mail as you might read other media.

Celebrities, the royals, and fashion are the DM catnip. They can´t control themselves.

But parody is often in there. They understand the daggers and use it.

And on hard news they will often take on stories the US LSM buries.

DAMASCUS, Va - At least 50 people were injured Saturday after a car struck a crowd of hikers in the Appalachian Trail Days parade in Damascus. A Virginia State Police reconstruction team has closed off the bridge where the incident happened and is investigating it as a crime scene. According to authorities, a green Cadillac was traveling on Route 91 in Damascus around 2:15 p.m. when his vehicle cut through a nearby car wash located off Third Street, where the parade was taking place. The car then went around several vehicles in the parade and plowed

WASHINGTON There´s an irony in the Internal Revenue Service´s crackdown on conservative groups. The nation´s tax agency has admitted to inappropriately scrutinizing smaller tea party organizations that applied for tax-exempt status. But the IRS largely maintained a hands-off policy with the much larger, big-budget organizations on the left and right that were most influential in the 2012 elections and are organized under a section of the tax code that allows them to hide their donors. Two Congressmen are asking the Treasury Department if it inappropriately scrutinized conservative-owned businesses the same way it targeted Tea Party groups filing for tax-exempt status. Republicans Mike Kelly (PA-03) and Jim Renacci (OH-16) circulated a letter Thursday requesting Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to release documents detailing the process and methodology the Automotive Task Force used to shut down General Motors dealerships in 2009 during the automotive industry crisis. Renacci´s Northeast Ohio Chevrolet dealership was closed in 2010 after losing a battle with General Motors. SAN JOSE— For most Americans in the United States, Armed Forces Day is not on the lists of likely holidays to honor the country’s military in celebrations of Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day. Sadly, most Americans may not even realize that Armed Forces Day is even a legitimate holiday. Armed Forces Day was established to be celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It started during Harry Truman’s administration when he led an effort to consolidate the various holidays supporting each separate branch of the military into a simple unified holiday to honor the four branches together.

WASHINGTON — An Internal Revenue Service watchdog testified Friday that he told Obama administration officials in June that he was looking into allegations the IRS targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status. The revelation by Inspector General Russell George came at the first congressional hearing on the IRS misconduct, which has generated a political firestorm since it was disclosed a week ago. George’s testimony represented the first evidence that officials in the Obama administration knew of the allegations as long as a year ago, during the presidential campaign.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,
