Mommy´s girl grown up:
How Malia Obama has blossomed

Looking every bit as poised and elegant as her mother, the long-limbed first daughter has taken the awkward out of adolescence with ease. In the weeks since election night, the emerging styles of the Obama daughters, and especially Malia, has taken center stage - the 14-year-old blossoming from the President´s wide-eyed ´baby´ into a self-assured young woman who has inherited her mother´s confidence, bold fashion sense and looks. Wearing a shiny blue full skirt from ASOS with a neon pink Zara belt, and J. Crew flats, Malia proved she has inherited her mother´s classic but bold sensibility

Methinks a vomit alert would not be inappropriate on this one.

It always amazes me how the left turn their politicians into rock stars, or demi-gods. They worship every hair on their heads, never hold them accountable for anything.

Fine.

Now we gotta put up with four more years of not only being bedazzled by Michelle My Belle Obama´s high-priced coutiere, but we gotta hear about the kid´s expensive tastes as well.

Too bad they aren´t paying for their $800 sneakers and $3500 dresses, or they might single-handedly do more for economic growth than hubby/daddy ever would do.

For those of you out there who think it is wrong to attack some young teen because the White House, probably at the instructions of Mama 0bama, put Malia in our face by claiming both have the real style sense that we should follow, you´re wrong. I have no problem with family pics and portraits, but saying she is a role model to young girls because of her Father´s job is way over the top.

I don´t believe it is an attack to say that this writer is blind. Or just another psychophant.

The most attractive girls are those who look pleasant. Not the sullen ones.

And she is the spitting image of her father.

There is not one single attractive Liberal/Democrat in public office.

Republican woman are smarter and attractive.

No attack. Just saying Madam Queen is a Fashion Victim who most often wears the wrong clothes for the occasion, ill-fitting (including too tight), and garish. The first Nickolodeon first lady is stuck in her teens. Maybe Malia will end up teaching mamma to dress?

Anything atributed to "staff" is usually something so awful you don´t want to put your name to it.

That picture of mommmy and daughter in their pedal pushers was enough to do me in. You say someone has a great sense of color when you don´t want to say that an outfit makes them look cheap or fat.

The young lady would be quite striking if she didn´t have her father´s perpetual chin-in-the-air look of scorn for those around her.

I won´t pick on the girl and I wish her well, but for "staff" to insist that she inherited her remarkable sense of style to make her America´s next style icon makes me wonder if we´re talking about the same president´s wife. Surely they jest! Somewhere in the article there´s bound to be a hidden happy face or a "NOT" or "JUST TEASING TO SEE IF READERS ARE PAYING ATTENTION." There are way too many actual photos of the current First Lady floating around to refute the claim that she´s a fashion icon, poised and elegant. But then, remembering how many Americans voted for her husband in the recent election, it makes me wonder if a large segment of the population has any sense themselves, fashion or otherwise.

She definitely has Barack Obama´s body. As to her looks, I think the media judges women on looks too much. When I say media, I include women in the media who harp on and on about women´s looks. I never hear men harping on and on about other men´s looks unless they´re some batty queen.

At the end of the day, what you see with women in public is basically something that has layers of foundation, tons of mascara and rivers of lipstick. Where did au naturel go?

Not only is the Odummer loving press slobbering all over the First Wookie with their stupid stories about her looks, fashion sense and other drivel but now they are shoving the older of the two ewoks on us. From the looks of the pics the Malaria is certainly taking after the Klingon in every way and trust me folks that is NOT a good thing. And just a note for you people who think I´m being too harsh all I have to say is this. Everytime the media sees fit to shove the two Odumbo urchins in my face I will show them the same difference that they showed the Bush twins and the Palin kids. Have a nice day.

As someone said, do not read the Daily Mail as you might read other media.

Celebrities, the royals, and fashion are the DM catnip. They can´t control themselves.

But parody is often in there. They understand the daggers and use it.

And on hard news they will often take on stories the US LSM buries.

The first family attended Easter services Sunday at the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, a Northwest Washington congregation that welcomed the Obamas on the eve of the president’s first inauguration. The Obamas’ motorcade left the White House shortly before 10 a.m. (Snip) The motorcade pulled up to the church, about four miles away, just after 10. The first family arrived through a tented entrance and sat in the second pew in a mostly, but not completely filled church, joining an estimated 250 others. The president wore a light khaki suit. CLEARWATER — In the mid-1970s, Wayne Phillips saw a television program telling the story of the Shroud of Turin, a centuries-old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. At first, he was miffed. Years of Catholic schooling — Jesuit High School in Tampa and Notre Dame University — and he had never known about this artifact? (He would later learn that it was a delicate subject at the Vatican.) A doctor, he has a curious mind. A mind shaped by logic and by science. But as a Catholic, he understands some beliefs are still a mystery. He

WASHINGTON — IT’S weird to be jealous of your car. But I am. Men look at my car with such naked lust, their eyes devouring the curves and chrome, that I often feel as though I’m intruding on an intimate moment. Women like it, too. They sometimes grin and give it a thumbs up as it growls by, and one girlfriend fondly refers to it as “the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Goddess car.” But the icon evokes a special feeling in men. California’s unemployment rate is rotten and holding steady. In March, according to the Los Angeles Times, the rate was 8.1%. In February, it was exactly the same. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the state only added 11,800 net new jobs in March, many of them in construction, government, education, and health services. The greatest gains were in professional and business services, with 3,100 new positions. But the jobs numbers in hospitality, manufacturing, and leisure dipped, and the biggest drop came in financial activities, as the slowing rate of mortgages forced banks to fire employees. I began reading the entirety of the first section of the New York Times at nine years old, and continued that practice, more or less, for decades.(snip) ...the power of reverence, intrinsic to what I call the “cascade” of The Times: the near avalanche-like flow and distribution of information through electronic and print networks: through like-minded network newscasts, magazines, local newspaper s, blogs, daytime talk TV, late-night entertainment, statements at media award ceremonies, the celebrity Twitterverse, etc. The cascade rolls through Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, The New Yorker, the mouths of third-grade teachers, Elmo, Madonna and Susan Sarandon …through

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s
