| Prosecutors and investigators in the murder case against Casey Anthony admitted they overlooked a smoking gun that could spelled doom for the acquitted tot mom, according to broadcast reports last night. Someone inside the Anthony family home used the house computer -- with Casey Anthony’s password -- to Google search for "fool-proof suffication” on June 16, 2008, independent investigators told WKMG-TV in Orlando. Google automatically corrected the misspelled “suffication” and linked pages describing ways to die by poisoning and suffocation.

The most incompetent jury ever ever ever.
A video of Casey strangling her baby would not have been sufficient for this bunch of fools.

Sorry. The jury didn´t buy the internet search theory no matter what the searches might have been. Good for them. People should be very, very careful about allowing a google search to be evidence of a crime. Just because I might search HIV/AIDS doesn´t mean I have it. Now, I do have to admit that "how do I kill my toddler and nobody be able to prove it" might have looked a little suspicious.............

This is appalling! The prosecution tried for many months to poison the jury pool against Anthony. Then, they couldn´t convince 12 people that she committed a murder (Actually, they NEVER proved that there was a murder).
Now, instead of resigning in shame, they again publicly announce that there really WAS more evidence that they ´overlooked´.
Way to go Florida, magically find votes, magically find evidence. What a state!!

I agree, #4 and her Casey´s parents also know she is guilty and have to live with that fact that she killed their granddaughter.

Using an internet search as evidence is indeed very sketchy. Especially since anyone could do it. They say it was CA´s password, but who hasn´t left their computer for long periods of time while being logged in?
I think she was guilty, but the next person they use that kind of evidence against might not be.

Federal investigators apparently accessed records of calls to and from a phone number at Fox News Channel in their leak investigation of a former State Department contractor, according to a court document. News of the government´s search of Fox News phone records comes after controversy broke out last week over a separate leak investigation in which prosecutors seized the call details of roughly 20 phone numbers of reporters and editors at the Associated Press. Former government contractor Stephen Kim has been charged in federal court with leaking an intelligence report about North Korea in 2009

Vice President Joe Biden ribbed President Obama over his teleprompter use at a Jewish American Heritage Month reception in New York City on Tuesday.Biden asked that the teleprompter in the room be taken down before his address, according to the pool report. “You can’t tell Barack that the teleprompter’s down,” Biden said. “The standing joke in the office is Barack’s learning to speak without a teleprompter, I’m learning to speak with one. I apologize for the teleprompter.” Republicans have long criticized President Obama for his reliance on a teleprompter, often needling him for reading from prepared remarks rather than

These are historic and troubling times. The unprecedented and brazen efforts by high-ranking elements within the Obama administration to silence whistleblowers and intimidate any reporters that would speak with them have starkly framed the choice the political press now faces. The administration has thrown the gauntlet down before the media with their display of abject disregard for the watchdog Fourth Estate. To the White House’s chagrin, the media will respond. In a two-fold assault on the freedom of the press, President Barack Obama’s Department of Justice has been implicated in efforts designed to intimidate both the press and

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department says it hasn´t prosecuted journalists for obtaining or publishing classified information and has no plans to. But open government and journalism advocates say the aggressive investigations of classified leaks by government officials under the Obama administration´s watch are having a chilling effect on news organizations´ ability to play a watchdog role. The renewed criticism of the Obama administration comes after new revelations that federal authorities secretly obtained the e-mails and tracked the movements of Fox News reporter James Rosen

The Senate Judiciary Committee’s passage of a sweeping immigration bill was expected. But the explosion of chants of “Yes we can! Yes we can!” and “Leahy! Leahy!” came as a surprise. The “Gang of Eight” bill passed by a wide 13-5 margin early Tuesday evening. Amid the cheering, Democratic committee chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont could be seen motioning spectators to come up and participate in the celebration. The “Yes we can” chant was made popular by then-Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama in his 2008 presidential run.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

U.S. Sen. John McCain bucked the party line coming from many of his fellow conservatives this morning, saying suggestions that compare the trio of scandals gripping the White House to Watergate are “overreaching.” “I think it’s overreaching. We need a full and complete investigation and then we will decide the dimensions of it,” said McCain while campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Gabriel Gomez in Dorchester. “It is terrible but we have to have a full investigation before we leap to conclusions.” The maverick’s caution is a sharp contrast to the response of many Republicans
