Boehner: ´ObamaCare´ must
be on the table in ´fiscal
cliff´ negotiations

President Obama´s signature healthcare law has to be on the table for cuts as Congress tried to negotiate a deal to avoid the "fiscal cliff," House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) wrote in an op-ed. "We can’t afford it, and we can’t afford to leave it intact," Boehner wrote in the Cincinnati Enquirer. "That’s why I’ve been clear that the law has to stay on the table as both parties discuss ways to solve our nation’s massive debt challenge." Republicans have already made clear that they hope to go after the law´s insurance subsidies in upcoming debt talks.

Comments:
Really? I thought he said 0bamacare was now the law of the land?? He confuses and scares me. I hate to say it but I don´t trust him.

I can´t stand Pres Zero. But this guy has to be neck and neck with him sometimes.

In the dictionary, under "lip-service" there is a picture of Boo-Hoo Boehner.

Truly, can´t stand this man.

Has Boehner´s spine just improved from "completely limp" to "al dente"?

Great way to start Thanksgiving. Stay strong, John B, because the NY Times, NBC, NPR and the rest are soon going to link you to Paula Broadwell. If that doesn´t work, to the pedophile who was the voice of " I´ll Tickle Your Elmo if You Tickle Mine". And, to Herbert Hoover, Adolph Hitler and the Marquis de Sade in an organized effort to besmirch you.

But since ObamaCare has not begun, it will be difficult ( but not impossible) to wheel in patients in wheel chairs and hospitals beds to accuse you of taking away something they don´t have. Sandra Fluke will be back on ABC with Diane Sawyer saying that CVS has removed all contraceptives after learning of Boehner´s threat.

Someone had better do something quick because Obamacare is being funded even as we speak. Amazing how they can do that without the House. Or is it, Tammy Faye Boehner. I don´t trust him either. I think they have something on him to keep him in line. And on the majority of the rest of the House. Remember Hilzilla´s FBI files! And Preezy Down Low is worse than Hils ever thought about being.

Well this is a little bit heartening. How about defunding or not hiring the 16,000 extra IRS agents? It seems like an easy proposal that Americans would support?

At least he´s talking a good game.

Perhaps Boehner should have argued before the Court last summer along with the bevy of lawyers in attendance. What is really scary OP is if Ocare is renegotiated as part of a tax deal it will end up being more obtrusive than it already is.

Uhh, "our nation" doesn´t have a "massive debt challenge."

Our real "massive challenge" is that "our politicians" come primarily in two destructive varieties: a. Leftists who tax, borrow, and spend [most often on un-Constitutional programs] at rates and in ways beyond measure or description [picked from among a long list of their damning vices]; and b. an "opposition" for whom "principle" is a misspelling of the boss of their kid´s school´s title, for whom aisle-reaching matters above all [except looking "important"], and their swearing-in oath is just another pointless, meaningless first-day formality.

Hey! You! Wake up!

It´s not politics as usual. And the pols created this "cliff," so their whining about it draws no sympathy from us at Schloss Veritas. We have chickens to pluck.

Talk is cheap with Boehner. He will cave. It is his nature to talk a good game, then cave into the democrat demands.

If he was at least an average Speaker, he would force substantial tax cuts through the House this year and agree to a small increase in taxes in 3 years, IF all the agreed-to tax cuts were implemented.

Sorry, Boehner. Your time is up. Time to be replaced.

So Democrats single-handedly launch a new unfunded monstrosity of an entitlement that few actually want, in the middle of the “worst economic crisis since the Earth’s crust began to harden” and then complain about the deficit. -0-bama says he wants a “balanced” approach, but nothing he wants is optional – including new spending on entitlements that are already $100Trillion in the red.

How can people be so stupid?

How can you talk about the fiscal cliff and not mention the $6 million Zippy just gave Asia with money we have to borrow from China ?

I hadn´t heard about the $6 million to Asia. I´m curious. Does any of our people travel anywhere without the magic bucket of money to pass out? Of course, there´s always Slick Willie who does the opposite ~ travels the world and collects it.

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

The way to prevent abortionists like convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell from occurring again is to build more Planned Parenthood clinics, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday about legislation that would prevent abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. “I would urge my colleagues to think about the extent to which he, Dr. Gosnell, represented the poor quality of health care services available in poorer communities,” Nadler said at the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice hearing. “We should be working to make sure that high quality

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

The National Council of La Raza (translation: The Race) has partnered with the Office of Personnel Management to encourage Hispanic activists and members to burrow into the federal government. A workshop sponsored by La Raza/The Race will take place in New Orleans on July 23, 2013. Senior Executive Service (SES) employees are federal government employees in special executive management positions, often with salaries approaching $200,000 per year (and well past that with benefits). Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

A Washington state Democrat is accusing Republicans of “throwing American infrastructure … under the bus” after a bridge collapse there this week. The portion of Interstate 5 in Washington that runs over the Skagit River collapsed on Thursday after a truck hit an overhead support structure, but Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) cited the incident in an interview as proof Republicans were blocking infrastructure investment to hurt President Obama politically. “Well, they have clearly spent the whole last five years trying to tear the president down, but they have done it by throwing the American infrastructure and
