President Obama treats the truth the way Bill Clinton treated blue dresses on interns. In our raucous political system, it’s natural for a president’s policies to insult our beliefs. But only the most arrogant president insults our intelligence on a near-daily basis. This how-dare-you-criticize-me? president expects us to believe: * That intelligence professionals watching the Benghazi attack in real time and reading flash messages from the scene weren’t sure an obvious terrorist attack was a terrorist attack. A Cub Scout watching that strike go down would have recognized a planned terror operation.
Now be honest, do you think all those black citizens jumping up and down with glee over free cell phones are going to care about this? How about Sandy´s victims? American Idol fans? Jobless? Mush head college students? Illegal immigrants? Saturday Night Live viewers? The Jimmy Kimmel crowd? They either live in another reality, or are just trying to survive. The tide is not on our side.
Last night I had a conversation with a recently reelected county official, whom I congratulated (though I did not vote for her). She said something about "at least the national race turned out well," meaning of course that Pat McCrory as NC Governor (and a GOP legislature) will hold the counties´ feet to the fire. I could not hold my tongue, and said, "Well, actually, I´m not an Obama fan." She looked a little shocked, and dug herself deeper by saying that maybe in his second term he will take a stronger leadership role. "I hope not -- I already feel sorry for our children." Ever the politician, she sound to ameliorate by talking about (Sen) Richard Burr (R-NC) and how "responsive" he is. And this happens to be a Jewish woman. It´s incredible around the universities. Not a friendly place for conservatives.
RE. the last paragraph You rememder Ralph, that the first thing they did in the Nixon affair was to destroy Spiro Agnew. The Key sign in this affair will be when Joe Biden resigns for health reasons. Then we can have President Pelosi.
Absolutely everything is political with these people. If you search around the internet for Susan Rice, she does not come up with the same kind of radical socialist ties and background that the rest of the Obama crew has. Oh, he has had some Clinton holdovers, but the rest are pure DSA marxist. Not Rice. By all accounts she is an aggressve, self-interested Washinton bureaucrat who clawed her way up, but she´s not a Chicago marxist. Not part of the club. And she appears to think she is ENTITLED to the Sec State position.
So ... did the Obama crew set her up to get rid of her? Get her out of the way? And how do you get rid of a black woman ambassador without taking the heat? Easy. Bait McCain and Graham into doing it for you. It appears she was set up before she ever went on those talk shows, and none of us, including her, ever saw it coming.
Now let´s get back to the real question: when did the Obama crew find out that there were going to be demonstrations in Cairo on 9/11 (embassy issued apology BEFORE they began), from whom, and who participated in prefabricating the whole video narrative prior to 9/11? Or did the American left actually help stage the 9/11 demonstrations? Remember the Gaza blockade demonstrations in Cairo? Remember who was there?
Thank you all for being here and especially Miss Lucianne. You all are our life line.
We live in Santa Rosa, CA where 80% here voted for Obamanism. We live with brain dead idiots who are totally lost. It will take a miracle to change California so would you all please pray for us here. We feel like missionaries in a strange foreign land that worships idols. (Obama)
Rice loves to play basketball ,which is a prerequisite for serving in the Obama administration. Her nickname is " Spo " for sporting. And she´s married to a white guy who happens to be a producer at ABC.
Number 6, there are none also all of the media support anything and everything they do including every immoral concept the democrats and the Obama white house employs. Our country will not last long with this happening, sad very sad.
Susan Rice goes under the bus to make way for the John Kerry nomination as SOS, which he wants. Rice can´t get nominated for SOS and Kerry would never get nominated for SOD. No matter who becomes SOS it´s Obama´s agenda all the way and that includes a loud and clear message that you can kill Americans without impunity.
re #1 -- That´s my favorite observation in his piece, too. Where has his outrage been over the loss of these American men? He acts like it´s just an unfortunate, well . . . bump in the road about sums it up.
I shudder to think how he would have reacted to 9/11. He would´ve been even worse than Gore. Can you see either one of them jumping up on a fire truck & taking the bullhorn, addressing the rescue workers with: "Rest assured -- we´re gonna go after the guys who did this!" ??
I also wonder why Biden was so sure Obama would be "tested" during his administration? Did he realize we had another Carter -- a sitting duck for terrorists to take all the punches they want? He´s been in congress since he was 28 -- so he´s seen all types & how the international community responds to them.
FTA ~ "Does the president really believe we’re all that stupid?"
"Yes. And he’s got his re-election to prove it, the establishment media to support it, and his White House goodfellas to enforce it. (National Security Adviser Tom Donilon and counterterrorism chief John Brennan make Nixon’s Haldeman and Ehrlichman seem like Fred and Ethel Mertz.)"
Making Hillary go away. Making Petraeus go away. Panetta? Donilon? Rice? Holder? Just can´t seem to make the story go away by erasing the players. That´s because the real player is still around and his only excuse is that everyone in four different agencies at every level ignored his commands and were constantly and irrationally stupid and disobedient over the entire period of time - and yet he thought every thing was fine, that the video was obviously the cause, and that he should show the muslim world that terrorists with black flags of Al Queda can force an apology from him for America while knowingly threatens the protected speech of Americans. It´s not going away because it can only add up in one way - he and his entire administration chosen for similar belief and under his direction acted as if this American enemy is America´s fault and that American principles should be attacked by its own President if they offend that enemy.
Outrageous, but simple and consistent with all of liberal narrative and specifically with Barack Obama 2001 through September 2012. They saw it coming and intended to use the crisis against opponents at home. The ambassador? Just happened to be one of the eggs in the "I killed Bin Laden, but I told you to stop making these enemies" omelette.

#18 -- That would be President Boehner, NOT Pelosi. Boehner is third in succession for the presidency.
The best way to deal with this administration is for the Electoral College to refuse to meet, which would put the election in the hands of Congress. The House would elect the president and the Senate would elect the Vice-President.
The big talk is just how many seats will the GOP pick up in the Senate next year, and we’ve spent a lot of time right here talking about just that. But how about the House? We do still have a bicameral legislature, even if it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell them apart. The House is in the strange place where although it’s almost universally reviled, not much is going to change. Yes, gerrymandering is a part of that, but it isn’t the whole story. People are fed up with Congress generally, but with ObamaCare specifically and increasingly. To punish the
The president calls income inequality the ‘defining issue of our time.’ So it seems fair to grade him on his success at addressing it. By any measure, he has failed spectacularly. Maybe it’s the Christmas season. But when December rolls around, President Obama’s thoughts seem to turn to income inequality. On December 6, 2011, he gave what the White House billed as a “defining” speech on the subject in Osawatomie, Kansas, site of a historic address by Teddy Roosevelt on “New Nationalism.” In the 2011 speech, Obama began by painting a portrait of the 1950s and 1960s as an ideal period in American
Detroit is declaring bankruptcy while its city council considers contributing public money to build a new Hockey Stadium for the billionaire owner of the Red Wings. While Judge Steven Rhodes was trying to figure out if the city of Detroit could declare Chapter 9 bankruptcy, the Detroit City Council was also doing some thinking. Should the council kick in about $45 million of city funding towards the $650 million entertainment complex that would include a residential section and a new arena for the Detroit Red Wings National Hockey League franchise? The city council decided not to rule it out and has a
Calling himself a “scapegoat” for a political hiring system that continues to this day, Chicago’s convicted former Streets and Sanitation commissioner Al Sanchez filed nominating petitions Monday for a seat on the Cook County Board. The longtime head of the Hispanic Democratic Organization (HDO) Southeast, Sanchez is just five months removed from the federal prison camp in Marion, Ill., where he lost 50 pounds. He spent 2.5 years there for rigging city hiring and promotions to benefit soldiers in HDO, a now-defunct army of political workers that helped to elect and re-elect former Mayor Richard M. Daley. Monday was the filing deadline for
Probably the most jarring election story of 2013 was the successful recall of two Democratic state senators in Colorado. Both represented districts that had voted for President Obama by wide margins: In the recall, Angela Morse ran 15 points behind the president, while John Morse (pictured) ran 12 points behind him. These were extreme cases: low-turnout recall elections where the pro-recall forces were unusually energized by the gun issue. But they highlight what is probably the most troubling indicator for Democrats right now as we inch toward the midterm-election season: The drop-off in Democratic performance in elections this year -- Democrats
Earlier this year, John Kerry and Chuck Hagel took over the top jobs at the Department of State and the Department of Defense, respectively. Since then, Kerry has been hyper-active. But whatever happened to Hagel? He has impinged on our consciousness only once, as Kerry’s sidekick during congressional hearings on authorizing an attack on Syria. The impingement was slight. Kerry and Gen. Dempsey did almost all of the talking. Hagel was content with silence except for an occasional misstatement of fact (the Pentagon had to walk back his claim that Russia supplies Syria with chemical weapons). Presumably, Hagel was under orders to
Former Vice President Dick Cheney reluctantly commented today on the rift between his two daughters Liz and Mary Cheney, saying that he was surprised that Mary, who is lesbian, and her wife attacked Liz on Facebook. “We were surprised that there was an attack launched against Liz on Facebook, and wished it hadn’t happened,” Cheney said at the National Press Club. “It’s always been dealt with within the context of the family and frankly that’s our preference.” After Liz Cheney, a candidate for Senate in Wyoming, made comments on Fox News Sunday indicating that she supports a “traditional” definition of marriage, her
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
President Obama will cast growing income inequality and a decline in economic mobility as a “fundamental threat to the American dream” during a speech Wednesday in Washington. The speech will serve as an early preview for next year’s State of the Union address, according to a White House official, who said Obama would focus much of his energy over the next three years on the issue. “The decisions we make over the next few years will determine whether or not our children will grow up in an America where, if you work hard, you can get ahead,” the official said.
Good stuff from Jonathan Turley at today’s House hearing on executive power, although I regret that I couldn’t find a more user-friendly format for you to watch. There’s no compilation clip; you’ll have to make do with the C-SPAN embed by fast-forwarding to the time cues I give you and being patient while the vid buffers (and buffers, and buffers).(Snip)That brings us to point two: Even if Congress can’t stop Obama, the courts can. The problem there, though, says Turley, is that O and the DOJ have argued successfully in many cases that no one has standing to sue him
During a presentation at the White House in which President Barack Obama touted the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, the president declared that his signature health care reform law was not going to be repealed. This assertion led his administration members, his staff, and audience members to rise from their seats and give the president a standing ovation. Obama said that ACA opponents’ alternative to the health care reform law is to champion repeal and going back to the health care delivery system status quo ante. He specifically cited Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who he said was asked directly for
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
[Video] President Obama on Wednesday declared that addressing income inequality would be the focus of “all” of the White House’s efforts “for the rest of my presidency.” In a sweeping address that touched on raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure and ending tax breaks for the wealthy, Obama warned that the American economy has become “profoundly unequal,” declaring economic mobility the “challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increasing inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe,” he said in an hour-long
