| One piece of information that got lost the last few days of sex scandals is the news that David Petraeus personally traveled to Libya after the Benghazi attack — and apparently filed a “trip report” covering his own findings. Senator Dianne Feinstein, who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee probing the Benghazi terrorist attack, wants either the report or Petraeus to testify to its contents. So far, though, the CIA and the White House have refused to provide it — and yesterday, Feinstein threatened that subpoenas may be forthcoming if the stonewalling continues:

Obama´s stonewall is far thicker than the walls of our Benghazi consulate, and highly defended by his lovers in the media. The NY Times, NBC and their colleagues have formed a suicide brigade to defend the stonewall from congressional investigators and the American people. "Disrember Benghazi" is their battle cry.

DiFi will change her mind. Isn´t she the one who said the White House was behind the leaks to the media and then backed off. She has decent instincts sometimes (I also believe she said we should have an immigration visa moratorium after 9/11), but she always backs off on the good ideas.
It will take a Democrat to make these things happen, and there isn´t an honorable one in the bunch.

More likely Sen. hard as nails is still mourning the mysterious death of her operative and the stolen funds from her campaign. Revenge which might cause royal sweat is lovely this Christmas season. The gift for those who have everything.

DiFi may just do something useful in her long carrier, yet. She seems to be genuinely angry, and intends to get to the bottom of what went on there.
But, she could just be part of the drama. Watch for her to float a new false narrative as the solution, and try to declare the mystery solved.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide.There are a lot of numbers out there.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
