| Michelle Obama, who broke the traditional first lady model by campaigning nonstop for her husband's reelection and boosting him among women and younger voters, is now considered the gold standard for modern-day presidential spouses. "There is no question that the first lady raised the bar for future spouses -- not just because of how hard she worked but also her sway and popularity with voters," said Karen Finney, former spokeswoman for former first lady Hillary Clinton. "Rated on energy, charm, and political smarts, Michelle Obama is the most important and successful first lady in a presidential campaign

Michelle has no class. Michelle has NO dignity. She is the worst first lady ever. She is ignorant and arrogant. She loves taking her many expensive, lavish, and luxurious vacations all at the taxpayers' expense; she brings all her family and friends. She does this, because before her husband was elected she could not travel in such luxury or style. She feels quite entitled. No, she is a horrid, wretched first lady, and she should keep her opinions to herself. We do not want her advice, and we certainly do want to see so much of her.

End Affirmative action by race and make it on merit and need.
Do the obama girls need a hand up or can Barack and Michelle pay their way out of his now $11 million?
Affirmative action by need and merit benefits the country as high brainpower poverty kids get a hand up--works across the board and Asian kids succeed on their own--they need it? They probably don't take it or fake it like Elizabeth Warren.
Barack Soetoro Frank Marshall Davis Hussein Obama II has another surprise for the whites. Mandated and enforced race based outcomes. Your next doctor might be an affirmative action prop up? Actually, the Indians from India are quite superb--wonder if they will do being just darker shaded Caucasians?

FTA: "Michelle Obama, who broke the traditional first lady model by campaigning nonstop for her husband's reelection...." I'm sure she all tuckered out from doing this since she doesn't know what a truly tough day of work is, so she'll need to take an enormously expensive vacation at our expense to rest up. In fact, I would venture to say that she "worked so hard" to guarantee continued taxpayer funded vacations for her, her mom and kids. I've been wanting to go to the Grand Canyon on vacation for a few years now, but can't justify spending the money especially now that my husband has been laid off. Sigh.....

With this election, what Muchelle wears, eats, does, doesn't matter. Who cares what gets written about her.Why are we even wasting time on this? What matters is that this country that was at a tipping point on November 6 has now tipped. And we should be seriously thinking about how to get it back, or we should just give up. If we are not going to give up, then please, let's not get side tracked on this crap about this ugly woman. We need to take the SENATE in 700+ days. That's important. But, Muchelle, not.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew told Congress that President Obama’s administration is “overachieving on deficit reduction,” as he defended the president for submitting a budget that never balances. “If anything, we are overachieving on deficit reduction right now, given where we are in terms of the current year and immediate economic needs,” Lew told Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., while testifying Wednesday before the House Financial Services Committee. “So, the goal, you know, should not be to balance the budget right now.” Lew then confirmed that budget policymakers should plan to raise taxes.

Freshman Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, suggested to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., that he no longer represents the majority of Senate Republicans on the issue of increasing the debt ceiling — and he offered a bet to prove it. “There may be more ‘wacko birds’ in the Senate than is suspected,” Cruz said on the Senate floor, recalling the name that McCain once applied Cruz and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., after their talking filibuster against President Obama’s drone policy. To test the hypothesis, Cruz suggested that McCain circulate a letter to the GOP

A bipartisan group of House members introduced legislation on Wednesday to protect journalists from government snooping. “Freedom of the press is a foundational freedom upon which all of our other freedoms and liberties are based and protected,” said Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.). The Free Flow of Information Act, H.R. 1962, would protect reporters by preventing the government from compelling the disclosure of their source material, except under certain exceptions that must go through judicial review. Those exceptions include cases where it is necessary to prevent an act of terrorism, imminent death, or other harm to national security.

Under President Obama, "justice" is anything but blind. Neither is it deaf. In fact, based on recent revelations, it appears to be watching your every move and listening to your every word. Still, if you happen to be a federal employee, now it´s even listening for your silence. The only thing this Obama White House seems to generate is scandal. Well, here´s yet another to add to the growing list. In addition to the Benghazi cover-up, IRS targeting of political dissenters and the illegal seizure of media phone records, whistleblowers within DOJ have contacted Liberty Counsel

In all, Obama and Biden met with eight people advocating for comprehensive immigration reform on Tuesday, according to White House readout of the meeting. The White House readout of the meeting listed three of those as having received “deferred action.”

WASHINGTON — The Tea Party wants former Alaska governor Sarah Palin to join their favorites in the Senate, Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.). It is only by 2 points (32 to 30%), but that is without her even saying she is interested. Not that Democrat Sen. Mark Begich is planning

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to
