Despair deepens, transportation snarled
as Nor'easter strikes Sandy-blasted NYC

New York Post, by DANA SAUCHELLI,*

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 11/8/2012 8:43:30 AM

Despair deepened for thousands reeling from last week’s devastating Superstorm Sandy — as a nor’easter blew through the city yesterday with sleet, snow and gusting winds. Storm survivors from the Rockaways to Red Hook and Staten Island endured frigid temperatures in blacked-out homes with no heat — choosing not to evacuate and risk break-ins and looting. Temperatures hovered around the freezing mark through the night, with wind chills in the teens. “The wind, the snow and the cold is just rubbing salt in the wounds that were already open as a result of Sandy,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Erik Pindrock.

It's political climate change.

When it hits a southern city during a republican sdministration, the blame is on the president.

When it hits a northern city (in this case, one that is home to major news outlets) during a democrat administration, the blame is on Mother Nature.

Amazing, that this is an area of the country that votes liberal, I thought it was all us knuckle draggers that don't have a clue, when bad weather strikes we hear very little from the press about hardships. But now we hear about those poor liberals who are enduring cold afraid to leave their houses because of looting, break ins etc.

For those few I do care about in the Northeast, please stay safe and warm.

Yawn.
These people have all the infrastructure and government largesse and gun control and leadership they've always wanted and continued to elect.

Therefore, I'm sure everything will be taken care of as to their wishes. What could go wrong? Who am I to interfere? I'm kinda busy with important things to work on like saving the country ---from all of the above that these people have shoved down my throat. You're welcome.

I suppose I should care, but I don't. The media ignores the aftermath of tornadoes, wild fires and floods that strike the"red" states so I'm ignoring storms hitting liberaland.

Exhibit #63,419 of the failure of Democrat socialism. Notice how the people of Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, drew in a long breath and then put their noses to the grindstone and recovered with few whimpers from even more devastating hurricanes. The exception, of course, was New Orleans, solidly Democrat, which was encouraged to sit there helplessly in the mess for months and months while emitting one long media-amplified whine.

Cheer up, New Jerseyites and New Yorkers! By spring the Unionized utility workers may deign to get around to fixing your power and water systems! And don't try to defend yourselves from looters, you have no rights there. But you can warm yourselves in the thought that you put Barack Hussein Obama back in office.

I am on the horns of an ethical dilemma, and I hope y'all can help me out.........

With my own gas, I took MY generator to an old college friend in Spring Lake Heights. We hadn't talked in a rather long time, but I am a conservative so when I knew he'd be in distress I called.

Problem is, he is second generation Iron Worker Union leadership. I KNOW he voted for the Wan.

Do I go get my generator and tell him to call the Goobermint he so loves, and has IGNORED his area for almost 10 days now or just allow him to continue to 'prosper' on the fruits of my labor?

I am torn. He has kids, and no heat. But I can't help but think that if the kids are cold, they may remember how poorly served they were and mitigate some of Dad's unionism indoctrination........

Let his kids find fellowship at their father's union hall. I bet it's not cold there.

Romney has always lived the life of charity and preparedness. You democrat east coasters can now live with FEMA and flyovers. No more charity from me. Go to Obama and beg for crumbs. That's what you wanted and that's what you've got.

#16 leave the generator there. All the kids would remember is that an evil Conservative came and took it away. No need to stain your soul, life is going to deal very harshly with the Dims.

I will be lectured about generosity and forgiveness by someone from the NYC area and they are right about that, but I really hope the creeps who determined that upstate and by upstate I mean north and west of Utica, NY state should just be cut off to wither away because they aren't capable of 'sustaining' themselves. First of all, quit heaping moronic NYC thought up demands on the rest of the state and we will be happy to be cut off from you. Second, good luck defending your self because I'm sick of urbanite sheeple lecturing me about firearms and their correct use or who should posses them.

If Romney had been elected, we would be in the "transition" phase of government, and Romney would be asking for help for these unfortunate double storm victims.

Obama will be on his way to Burma, etc., after he makes his no-questions-answered speech tomorrow.

When the Benghazi Inquisition begins in the House, and it all begins to hit the fan, these storm victims may think twice about their liberal voting habits, and hopefully, will turn on Obama and his treasonous minions.

WASHINGTON — The White House says White House Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler was first informed about an audit of the IRS´ inappropriate targeting of conservative groups on April 24 and that she notified senior staff, including Denis McDonough, the chief of staff to President Barack Obama. White House press secretary Jay Carney says Ruemmler "appropriately" decided not to tell Obama at the time because the audit was ongoing. The audit by a Treasury Department inspector general found that IRS employees singled out groups with names like "tea party" and "patriots" for special scrutiny that delayed their applications for tax exempt status.

Following the attack in Benghazi, senior State Department officials close to Hillary Clinton ordered the removal of a mid-level official who had no role in security decisions and has never been told the charges against him. He is now accusing Clinton’s team of scapegoating him for the failures that led to the death of four Americans last year. Raymond Maxwell was placed on forced “administrative leave” after the State Department’s own internal investigation, conducted by an Administrative Review Board (ARB) led by former State Department official Tom Pickering.

Organized labor will break its silence and oppose President Obama´s nominee for Commerce Secretary, Chicago´s Penny Pritzker, the Daily News has learned. The decision stems from long-standing grievances with labor practices at the Hyatt Hotels chain, a source of her family´s fortune, and despite earlier reports that unions would not raise objections to the nomination. Donald "D" Taylor, president of the national Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees (HERE), confirmed the move to The News on Monday. His opposition was spurred by his just learning that the Senate Commerce Committee was moving up its confirmation hearing for Pritzker.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General published a new report Monday that confirms former U.S. Attorney for Arizona Dennis Burke leaked a document intended to smear Operation Fast and Furious scandal whistleblower John Dodson. Fox News reports that three Fox staffers, two reporters and one producer, were targeted by Barack Obama´s Justice Department. Fox doesn´t have all the details yet on a reporter William La Jeunesse and producer Mike Levine, but their emails showed up in a IG report regarding Fast and Furious. Either their emails were leaked by the Justice Department officials they were sent to, or the email accounts of both were subpoenaed and invaded by government investigators. The IG report does say that subpoenas were issued to obtain emails. Whose email was targeted is not yet known.

IRS Was Afraid of the Constitution,
the Obama Scandal Suggests

Of all the discouraging news in the scandal involving President Obama’s Internal Revenue Service, the most illuminating is that one of the things that triggered additional scrutiny from the IRS for groups applying for tax-exempt status was any plan for “educating on the constitution and bill of rights.” As the details of the situation have emerged, various explanations have arisen for the behavior of the IRS officials involved. A 2,700-word report issued over the weekend by a team of seven New York Times journalists attributed the problem to “an understaffed Cincinnati outpost that was alienated from the broader I.R.S. culture.”

We already have seen that the Obama administration doesn’t think much of the freedom of religion clause when it interferes with the HHS regulations. We’ve been shamed into giving up the 2nd Amendment, for the children. We’ve seen the freedom of the press isn’t really freedom anymore if the Justice Department doesn’t like what you’re writing about. But with the testimony Friday of Steven Miller to the House Ways And Means Committee, we see now that what you pray about is a legitimate tax question. And on the Hugh Hewitt

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:
