| Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who came out long ago in favor of his party’s nominee Mitt Romney’s candidacy for president, apparently upset a lot of people on the conservative side for his embrace of Romney’s opponent, President Barack Obama in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. And according to conservative talker Laura Ingraham, it was taken to the point of “embarrassing himself.” On her Tuesday radio program, Ingraham, the author of “Of Thee I Zing: America’s Cultural Decline,” criticized the New Jersey governor for his latest comment expressing his excitement in hearing from Obama supporter

Comments: So is Chris Christie looking a little Arlen Specter-esque to anyone else?
I hope none of this matters after tonight, but I hope he isn't another opportunistic showboat.

Chris Krispy Kreme hurt Romney, there is no debate on this. There was no reason for him to go overboard on Obama. Obama was there just for a photo op, how's it going now ?

If 0bama was to win again it would be likely that Christie became a Democrat before the next election for governor in NJ. It looks to be more and more about personal winning to him.

Christie has so much in common with New York's Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg probably banned super size sodas as a favor to Christie. If Bloomberg could only ban forks, and put a cap and trade on Krispy Kreme donuts.

It wouldn't be the first time a just-barely Republican was seduced into joining the dark side. "And I imagined the Boss...holding, nay, passionately embracing me. Feeling his hot breath on my neck...tenderly caressing my fulsome breasts...my thoughts ran to the nearby moors...and the danger, and excitement, that they offered."

Christie effectively closed the door on any future run for President on the Republican ticket. He had to know that. His only option now if he wants to run for federal office is to switch parties. Other than being mouthy with the teacher's unions I never saw that much to love about him. He is a social liberal.

He is a great governor for NJ. He's cleaning a few things up and he's a step in the right direction. He's not conservative enough for me, but NJ is deeply entrenched in blue.
Sometimes talkers I usually like are a little too talkative. Today is the day to talk about how much we hope Romney will be the winner. That's it. Talk about Democrat fraud at the polls. Don't hit Christie when he was a big campaigner even when Romney was down. Please.

If you believe that the t party came into existence as a repudiation of both Obama democrats and Country Club republicans, then you can see how an opportunity exists for what was once a Scoop Jackson democrat to do very well in 2016.

If Gov Christie switches parties, he should resign. Citizens of NJ voted for a Republican Governor. His fawning over the president was sickening no matter which party he resides in. The President was supposedly doing his job, just once, for a short while, on the way to campaigning. It is very difficult to find a politician with moral, ethics, and a backbone.

Long before the Internal Revenue Service revealed it had improperly targeted conservative 501(c)(4) groups, a group of Democratic senators led by New York Sen. Chuck Schumer urged the IRS to do just that. The IRS’s admission last Friday that it had singled out tea party and other groups for extra audits and delays has raised concerns that President Barack Obama’s administration quietly attempted to stymy opponents through intimidation. But many prominent Democrats — including Montana Sen. Max Baucus, Americans United for the Separation of Church and State and the New York Times editorial board — had been

On Hugh Hewitt’s Thursday night program, National Review columnist Mark Steyn explained why the Obama administration’s response to last September’s terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was so appalling.“They let him die, and then told lies over his coffin,” he told fill-in host Guy Benson. Steyn said that the late U.S. ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was a true believer of President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s view of the Arab Spring, that it was a positive movement and was trying to make the best of it. On Aaron Klein’s weekend show on New York City’s WABC radio, Oklahoma Republican Sen. And yet he’s been voted down in a big way by a large majority.

On Thursday night’s edition of "The O’Reilly Factor" on the Fox News Channel, host Bill Bill O’Reilly and former Clinton campaign adviser James Carville debated whether liberals have been pushed further to left by activists and various media factions. O’Reilly pointed to Wednesday’s May Day protest in Seattle as one piece of evidence. He also pinned the blame on MSNBC, arguing that his employer’s cable news rival is “putting forth” a far left ideology. Carville disagreed and said the hosts on MSNBC network, including Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski do not hold views of the far left.

During a Senate hearing on immigration reform Tuesday, Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had a testy back-and-forth over the performance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. Sessions challenged Napolitano on whether she had met with leader of the ICE employees’ union in the wake of reports of low morale among ICE agents. Napolitano replied that she had not. “I think you should have met with them,” Sessions said. “I think there’s a real problem there. We have a very real problem. The National Rifle Association hasn’t received much in the way of favorable coverage from MSNBC recently. But on Wednesday’s “The Last Word,” host Lawrence O’Donnell took that unfavorable coverage to the next level by blaming the NRA for law enforcement’s inability to track down the perpetrator of Monday’s terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon. O’Donnell made the statement during the opening of his show. He also blamed the gun-rights organization for the failure of legislation in the U.S. Senate that would enhance background checks for gun purchases. “Today the gun lobbyists at the NRA

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
