59 percent of African-American
young voters say US ‘moving in
the right direction’

Despite continued high unemployment, a recent national poll shows that 59 percent of African-American voters age 19-29 feel that the country is “moving in the right direction.” Tufts University’s youth research organization, The Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning & Engagement released the poll Monday. The data reveals that while young black voters feel the general condition of the country is improving, only 23.6 percent of white youth said the country is moving in the right direction. Young Hispanic voters were the largest group to be unsure about the direction of the country.

Comments:
Absolutely stunning. This leaves me speechless.

I saw the headline and said some naughty words. How can people be so stupid? No prospects for the future for many youth, no opportunity, yet we're moving in the right direction?

This is not shocking to me. Rather than achieve, it is much easier for the youth - who have been brainwashed since they were knee high to a grasshopper that they are being oppressed, that they do not have a chance to succeed because of their skin color, want to level the playing field.

It is much easier to bring down others than it is to lift yourself up.

A couple decades ago I had a conversation with a black co-worker about affirmative action. I said racial discrimination would only create resentment. His reply? "They can resent it all they want!"

In 2008 a large portion of whites helped elect Obama in the interest of racial harmony and hope for a post-racial society. What they got was an anti-white administration like never before. No one should be suprised when he loses next week.

That must mean 40% of the black youth thinks we are headed in the wrong direction. Four years ago 100% of them would have agreed with 0bama, so he has lost 40% of his support.

Black unemployment on Jan 20, 2009 stood at 11%. Black unemployment as of Sept 30, 2012 stands at 14% To those African-Americans who think the economy is moving in the right direction, Huh? Unemployment among black youth was at 29% in September 2012.

Net household income has dropped every year since Barack Obama took office.

Barack can shout hope and change all he wants. African-Americans who believe him are being suckered by yet another democratic administration who only wants their votes and unthinking support.

I believe the poll.

This is the result of our world-leading public education system led by socialist and politically correct curriculum and Teacher's Unions.

Notice I do not place responsibility on the majority of our TEACHERS who are trapped in that system and are trying their best to help their "kids" (you know, the ones that actually show up for class to learn rather than disrupt the teacher’s efforts..)

These people are young and stupid. Colon Powell doesn't have that excuse.

In the 60's and early 70's it looked like there was a chance for real societal racial integration. Then came institutionalized discrimination in the form of affirmative action. A practice that got the US Supreme Court's seal of approval (Thanks Justice O'Connor, you moron). Then the Democrat's found how easy it was to herd them around en masse as long as they kept the racial grievance business going. They have been aided in this by the professional race baiters like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. The result is most blacks see everything though a racial prism and if a (half) black guy is president he must be good. He's black.

NEW YORK — The New York Police Department´s widespread spying programs directed at Muslims have undermined free worship by innocent people and should be declared unconstitutional, religious leaders and civil rights advocates said Tuesday after the filing of a federal lawsuit. Mixed-race people are more likely to be considered black by conservatives, who are subconsciously attempting to “justify racial divisions,” said the authors of a new government-funded study. Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
