WASHINGTON -- Reviewing the last few months of this tumultuous presidential campaign, I see the debates as having a wondrous salience. The first was the most momentous since Nixon vs. Kennedy, though that 1960 confrontation was mostly a matter of cosmetics. Listening to it on radio, many in the audience came away thinking that the participant with the five-o'clock shadow had won. That would have been Richard Nixon. In debate this time around, Mitt Romney hammered Barack Obama mercilessly. Under the ongoing assault Obama's knees buckled and he repeatedly looked glassy-eyed.
Talk about a guy who has spent too much time at his local country club..."Au Revoir" is just so...French! How suave of you Mr. Editor to take us into your world of crystal ball dreaming, leaving the heavy lifting once again for the grunts you so often lack the respect to pay any homage.
This election is by no means finished, with a victor declared. B. Hussein Obama-Mao has his lawyers in the wings and will not go "quietly into the night" as so many others wish.
Time for Emmett to consider donning sreet gear and join we regulars out in the fog for some real fun!
Smarmy lines don't really cut it when one is up against the reality of an evil dictator who has been way too successful for four years.
Imagine what he intends to do if given a 2nd chance...
Outstanding article. I printed it out for others earlier this morning. Regardless of everything this president did NOT do, or the utter failure of projects he funded, the daily updates on Obama's involvement with the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi are mind-boggling. .... Congress tossed another president out of the Oval Office for attempting to cover up details of a break-in at a local hotel. No Americans died there, nor was that president discovered to be collaborating with terrorists.
I am still waiting to learn WHO has the authority to dismiss this traitor in the White House, since the current Congress is too afraid to take action.
Agreed #4 but R +2 might not be enough to overcome the left's vote early and vote anyone who doesn't show up way of electing. We need to make sure no vote for R sits at home thinking it's going our way. I am always blown away by those who sit at home.
Always be careful about urging people to get out and vote. Those who need urging are often those who haven’t been paying attention, and that sort is all too likely to make the wrong choice. Those who have been paying enough attention will damn sure be getting out to vote, knowing as they do how critical it is to oust this disastrous president.

I'm to the point that I don't even want to exact revenge for all the ill deeds this fraud has wrought on this country. I just want to get rid of him and his stench and send him into oblivion.
Mitt can methodically clean up his mess and bring daylight to all his corruption and cowardice in a reflective way rather than an aggressive manner. The best way for this country to heal itself and move on is to totally dismiss the memory of the physical person. If Mitt does it right, no words will be needed to convey the national nightmare that resulted from electing an unqualified, incompetent, corrupt street punk. Never forget the stain, but throw away the empty suit.
#7, it is the House that can bring impeachment charges against the pResideent, but the Senate has the vote on whether to convict or not, and with this particular Senate,... No way. It would be a waste of time and effort.
#22 I want revenge. Im a GenXer who has had to live in the shadow of these revenant Marxists all her life, who was only a baby during the last years of Vietnam but picked up enough then to know the hippie Left was bad news then, and they have dominated the conversation of my life since then...and now their most vitriolic, vicious, and evil portions have taken my country hostage. The Weather Underground has a tight hold of the country I love and my daughter will have to live the consequences and gird any children she has against the revenants that will surely show up in their lifetime. I hate them for that. HATE. THEM.
No I want REVENGE. I want blood. I want Obama arrested and humiliated in front of the whole country. I want his vicious evil psychotic Weather Underground Marxist collaborators executed. I want the Hollywood useful idiots FLOGGED PUBLICLY, then dropped off in Cuba and NEVER allowed to return to the United States. I want them living the Socialist Utopia they have tried to foist on those of us who only wanted the representative republic our founding fathers dreamed for us. I think the blood of our Founding Fathers CRIES OUT for revenge. Ive had enough. I want it NOW. Not in the future. Not on my grandchildren's shoulders. NOW. MINE.
#24 Aubreyesque - Just tell us how you really feel.
Yes, I also think this bunch needs to be punished. If for no other reason than to be made an example of. And since Bronco Bama has only served one term, guess what? He can run again. We need to make sure he is ineligible (what a concept!) to run again. Everyone in his communist gaggle, and the horses they rode in on, should be airlifted and dropped into N. Korea. Cuba is way too close.
Was musing in the early morning fog of awakening that there are a lot of folks who would not want O's story to be told at all. I'd be very careful over the next few months if I were him, as there are those supposedly on his side that wouldn't benefit by his real story coming out.
People have to rise up in numbers never seen before and get to the polls on Nov.6 and vote the evil Obama and his evil allies out of power forever! This can't be close. They can cover close with their cheating. This has to be a landslide!
We didn't win this thing yet. Even though I detest early voting (I don't trust it), I voted yesterday and because, all over the country, some Romney votes have been showing up as Obama votes (Google it), I triple checked my vote before pressing the Cast button and I still didn't trust that my vote would be honestly counted.
One more thing about the integrity of voting machines. Here in Las Vegas, people make and daily use thousands of slot machines that are tamper proof and can't be jiggered in order to cheat. Unless, of course, the owner/maker/programmer of the machine wants to cheat. Same with voting machines. They can be programmed any way the programmer wants to program them.
Then there is the problem of security. This early voting boondoggle creates a security nightmare. Here in Las Vegas, for about 10 days, we had 80 separate sites where voting was available on rolling days which meant that hundreds of voting machines were constantly in motion in the backs of trucks making security essentially nonexistent.
IMHO, our elections have become a farce! Like the man said, it's not who votes, it's who counts the votes that determines the winner.
It took him 2 weeks? It was obvious in the 2008 primaries that Obama was over his head. As for the time of Carter, I remember those days, some of you may not. I remember that everyone thought our best days were behind us. The world had run out of energy and the Japanese were taking over our businesses. Then Reagan said it was morning in America and he was right for 12 years.
Old time conservative, Emmet Tyrell, remember him well, is a present time RINO, and until Obozo is OUT of office, GONE, there can be no good news like this piece from an out of touch oldster. Let's face it, Tyrell is not leading the New Media, is not an active reserching part of the counter establishment Brietabartian force that is doing its utmost to save America. This is as untimely as Christie smiling with Obozo. That one made me sick.
#24,I totally agree. My dream is to see barkey being led from the WH in handcuffs and placed in Federal Prison for fraud and committing high crimes and misdemeanors against our great country and the American people. The linebacker and her mom being dragged out without being able to take the china, the silver - or even the audacious wardrobe that we, the taxpayers, paid for that insufferable affirmative action mooch. She will always have memories of the lavish, in your face tax paid vacations to comfort her after her public fall to disgrace. It is a dream~~
Poster 24 makes some good points. We watched Bill Clinton, impeached and disbarred, yet he still escapes the humiliation he deserved. He's still able to go out and speak in public while the media and democrats portray him as honorable when he is not. Hillary becomes a senator and SOS. She jet sets all over the world, living lavishly, destroying our nation and reputation around the world. Ted Kennedy killed a woman and he was the Lion of the Senate. Obit is Clinton, Hillary, Ted Kennedy and countless others who have done major damage to this country only to go on and live in the lap of luxury with honorable positions. People who should be under jails accumulated ill gotten gain and it seems they will never pay. But, they will pay. We may not see it and that might make the fact that they will pay seem not good enough for some of us. I can certainly understand where 24 is coming from. God is the only righteous and just judge, but He gives us the ability to make laws and execute justice and that is what's lacking in all of this. None of us want obit to pay just for the sake of it. We want him to pay because his actions cry out for justice. People might say that conservatives are no different than the rabid left, but we don't accept that because it's not true. It's not about politics and our guy winning. This is about whether we will remain a free people. This skating by America hating people has to stop. Something's got to give.
Adios, Obie. My vote was cast last week in Colorado and I hand-delivered my ballot to my county clerk to make sure it was counted. Five more days, folks, must keep the focus and pressure on until we know for sure Obie and Bite Me are gone.
24 is heavy, KNOWS the underlying Marxist dark currents are the basis, the deep basis for all this uniformly (read that Communist Party Line, uniformly developed lying from the White House, the Congress, any bureaucrat given permission to indoctrinate, all the main TV Mafia Media led by leading propagandists Diane Sawyers Snserson Cooper Steve Pelley on and on the commie lot of them. This vast stealth protection racket allows its sickening puppet leader to golf, party, soak up the Hollywood America hating actors and Spielbergs amidst his deathly avoiding his duties to protect that bring death to others We are not supposed to use words like scum.
AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka called the proposed budget deal by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., woefully inadequate, but did not specifically call on lawmakers to flat-out reject the bill. In a statement Wednesday, Trumka said the deal "provides temporary relief from sequestration budget cuts over the next two years, but does not represent the clean break from budget austerity that our economy so urgently needs." He cited a litany of complaints with the proposal, beginning with its lack of an extension of unemployment benefits. He also criticized it for requiring federal workers to "pay more out of pocket
“[T]he entire concept of realignments/permanent alignments, which underlay much of the misbegotten analysis of the 2008 elections, is bankrupt and should be abandoned.” So wrote RealClearPolitics´ Sean Trende in his 2012 book, The Lost Majority. One of the book´s main theses was that “the permanent majority” -- that great white whale hunted and claimed by both parties over the last decade (and long before that) -- is an unsustainable illusion in the long run. Few pundits heeded Trende´s warning after the 2012 election. The editors of The Week made an argument typical of the moment when they wrote that Obama´s coalition of
I´m annoyed that so many Hollywood celebrities hate the system that made them rich. Actor/comedian Russell Brand told the BBC he wants "a socialist, egalitarian system based on the massive redistribution of wealth." Director George Lucas got rich not just from movies but also by selling Star Wars merchandise. Yet he says he believes in democracy but "not capitalist democracy." Actor Martin Sheen says, "That´s where the problem lies ... It´s corporate America." And so on. On my TV show, actor/author Kevin Sorbo pointed out that such sentiments make little sense coming from entertainers. "It´s a very entrepreneurial business.
We´ve all seen selfies taken in questionable places. During a school lockdown. In front of a man attempting suicide. At Auschwitz. Now, some people are adding President Obama to the list of people with poor selfie judgment after the leader of the free world posed with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service Tuesday in South Africa. It appears from photos of the incident that Obama was not the instigator (that distinction goes to Thorning-Schmidt). But he seems to have participated happily, though First Lady Michelle Obama seemed unimpressed by the whole spectacle.
In Texas, we say this:"Just because a chicken has wings doesn´t mean it can fly." The translation is that "appearances are deceptive." In other words, you can call it affordable but that does not mean that it is affordable. According to The NY Times, there is a little screaming going on when people check out the affordability of the Affordable Health Care Act: "Until now, it was almost impossible for people using the federal health care website to see the deductible amounts, which consumers pay before coverage kicks in. But federal officials finally relented last week and added a "window shopping" feature
Health insurance enrollment in at least one state appears to be picking up. Colorado’s state-based insurance exchange Connect for Colorado announced on Monday that more than 5,000 new customers have purchased private insurance since November 30, increasing the state’s total enrollment numbers in private plans by more than 50 percent. (Snip)But if current trends continue, the exchange may have an age problem. Demographic information released at the end of November shows the makeup of the exchange so far skews much older than federal officials have targeted.
With all the many lies and obfuscations perpetrated by this White House the one about whether the president knew or had met his “Uncle Omar” was a relatively minor one. Still it speaks volumes about how this administration — which obsesses in public about “transparency” — really operates. Onyango Obama had been living in Massachusetts illegally since the 1970s (a judge granted him legal resident status just last week). When he was arrested in 2011 for DUI and told police “I think I will call the White House,” media outlets asked the White House if the two men had ever met.
New York — The anchor who might beat Bill O’Reilly gets her eyelash extensions applied one at a time, with tweezers and dabs of glue, about 90 minutes before showtime, right after a motorized gun sprays foundation over her face, neck, shoulders, collarbone and sternum, wiping out a galaxy of light freckles that spreads across her — Let me stop you right there. Photos of the day Uruguay legalizes marijuana, Kiev police pull back from protesters, aging U.S. prison population and more. Tuesday´s Photos of the day Would you write this way about a man? About O’Reilly himself? At least that’s what Megyn Kelly might ask at
In August 2013 I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After a few days I lost vision in my left eye and I checked into the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended
When I was a kid, I knew two different Santa Clauses. The first had a fat belly, rosy cheeks, a long white beard, and skin as pink as bubble gum. He was omnipresent, visiting my pre-school and the local mall, visible in all of my favorite Christmas specials. Then there was the Santa in my family’s household, in the form of ornaments, cards, and holiday figurines. A near-carbon copy of the first one—big belly, rosy cheeks, long white beard: check, check, check. But his skin was as dark as mine. Seeing two different Santas was bewildering. Eventually I asked my father what
Johannesburg - A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela´s memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was a "fake," the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa said on Tuesday. Asked about the claim by The Associated Press, South Africa´s government said it was preparing a statement. Three sign language experts said the man was not signing in South African or American sign languages. South African sign language covers all of the country´s 11 official languages, according to the federation. It wasn´t immediately clear if the unidentified man was using a
The health director who approved the release of President Obama’s birth certificate has died in a plane crash, Hawaiian officials said Thursday. Loretta Fuddy died after the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft she was travelling on went down shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport at around 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Wednesday. The other eight people on board were rescued, Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air, told NBC News early Thursday, adding that that there was no indication as to why the plane had crashed. Fuddy hit the headlines two years ago when she approved a waiver request allowing Obama to
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) snapped at conservative groups that have come out in opposition to the budget deal reached Wednesday between Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). "They´re using the American people for their own purposes. This is ridiculous," Boehner said at a press conference with other members of House Republican leadership on Wednesday. Over the past few days, a number of conservative groups have blasted the deal because it sets discretionary spending levels in the budget higher than previous levels under sequestration. In the past three days, the influential Heritage Action, Club for Growth, Americans
Views of the tea party are at all-time lows in a new poll, as primary challenges to establishment Republicans continue to heat up Washington. Just 30 percent of Americans view the tea party favorably in a new Gallup poll released Wednesday, the movement’s lowest point since Gallup began polling about it during its rise in 2010. Also in a first, a majority of Americans had an unfavorable view of the tea party, at 51 percent. Similar numbers of respondents described themselves as proponents or opponents of the tea party: Twenty-two percent identified themselves as tea party supporters, while 24 percent said they
