Stand Down Obama and
Biden, Stand Down

American Thinker, by Clarice Feldman

Original Article

Posted By:DW626, 10/28/2012 5:55:01 AM

Normally, I have no difficulty writing this column. I see it as a way to provide busy readers a coherent narrative of the best of the week's most important news -- largely as reported by the alternative media and ignored by its richer, fatter and lazier media opposition. This week is sadly different. The latest news coming out about the murder of our ambassador and three other brave Americans in Ben Ghazi is so horrifying and shocking I can take no pleasure in writing about it. It's still largely unreported by the legacy media.

Clarice Feldman at her most lucid (and that's saying something).

In all my years I have never seen such dishonorable conduct by some many so high in government.

Yes, Mr. President, do at least one honorable thing in your sordid career. Stand down.

This really is a crass, vulgar, disingenuous, disrespectful, uncaring, prevaricating bunch of marxist weasels that lie about their lying and plunge to new depths everyday.

Clarice's last few lines make me want to stand up and cheer.

Every time I think that the level of corruption, cowardice and sheer vulgarity of this entire Administration has reached its apex, there is yet another outrage to top the last. It's staggering.

As more is revealed I believe the charge of treason will be warranted. It remains to be seen if fellow Americans who know what happened (and why) have the courage to speak out.

NY Post has the whole story online... CIA announced the Stand Down was not from them... Last night, the WH blogged that they did not order the Stand Down, essentially blaming the military !

Petraeus is on Meet The Press this am... I can't see him sit idly by as the WH blames his brethren. Hope he makes news.

I'll bet Valerie Jarrett's fingerprints are all over this. After all, she controls Barry. I heard a Republican criticizing the administration, and Axelrod had the audacity to say that the Rep. had no business talking about it since he had never served in the military. Well, neither have Obama, Hillary, or Valerie or Rice and I am not sure about Pannetta.

Panetta’s bios says he served in the Army from ’64 to ’66. But who really knows? Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) lied about serving in Vietnam but the voters elected him anyway. Sen. Mark Kirk (D-IL) was caught lying about his military record but was elected anyway. I figure Panetta has an embellished military resume. He had lots of training in the art of ambiguity and spin as Slick Willy’s WH chief of staff from ’93-’97. Most Dem politicians are dishonorable liars, yet they are continually elevated to higher office by voters or presidential appointments.

Leon Panetta was a not very good Congressman by ANY standard, for longer than he should have been. He is, was and will always be a nothing-burger-bureaucrat looking for a place to land. IMHO, he has no more business being Secretary of Defense than Gen. Petraeus has being CIA Director. Which, BTW is most likely why they were both appointed to those positions.. Thanks for the info #10, we'll be watching to see what the General says, or even more important does NOT say about the latest debacle of the criminal-enterprise, A/K/A the obama-administration..

Excellent column. Excellent headline.

The natural instincts of any decent human being who sees anyone, even an animal, in danger is to do whatever they can to help. We hear countless stories of heroes, from the very young to the very old, coming to the aid of those in harm's way. We hear stories of animals heeding their instincts to come to the aid of those in danger. But, this cold, calculating, self-serving "leader" of the free world, who has the power to say the word and send help to anyone anywhere, without harm to himself, refused help to those whom it is his duty to protect, and prevented others, over whom he has power, from doing their duty and following their instincts to help our own.

We, the people in this country, still have the power to elect our leaders. We have the power to hold them accountable. This country is in as much in danger of being destroyed, under our current leadership, as that consulate in Benghazi. We have One who watches over all of us in real time, and has the ultimate power to save us. May we humbly turn to him for help, wisdom, and guidance to save our country, just as our founders and framers did to build it. And, may we do what is right in his sight.

That the media - whose job it is to hold the government's feet to the fire - is complicit in the administration's attempts to make Benghazi disappear disgusts me.
Nowadays we must fend for ourselves on the internet since honesty is being buried by those who traditionally have been entrusted to find and tell us the truth.

You treated American lives, including that of an ambassador -- the official representative of your country -- with utter disregard for their safety. You've lied to us about this tragedy so many times and in so many ways you can no longer credibly lead. You're crass and vulgar and without regard for truth, law or common decency and deserve to be drummed out of office."

Amen, #19. Your words will stay with me through these next few trying days. We have issued our call for help at this time, with our humility and apologies for ignoring the True One in the past - it seems now as if our prayers and call for help may be answered. If not, we will have much more to do and very little time for it.

There is much analogy here....

I ***believe*** our highest Commander will come to our assistance in our time of national crisis. But we have to be true.

When President Romney takes office, he must not pull a Gerald Ford and pardon Obama.

For the record, I agree that Ford was right to pardon Nixon. I won't go into the reasons why, but suffice it to say - Nixon was no Obama. Nixon was a true patriot and loved our country.

This horrendous, murder of our Ambassador and three other Americans, which could have been prevented by a simple command to save them, must be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

As I have stated on other threads over the last two days, Obama and his cohorts are an accessory to murder, and their punishment should correspond to that crime. The famous picture of those who killed Lincoln being hanged comes to mind.

Make it your goal to get one person who you personally know, and who is not voting, to vote for Romney/Ryan. Or, to persuade one person who is voting for Obama, not to vote. If everyone of us does all of the above, we can get these dishonest, dishonorable, crude and un-American people out of our government. At least for awhile.

Start forwarding this piece to the MSM, especially the NYT and WaPo. Suggest that maybe, if they tried covering the news, or writing editorial pieces like this, they would have some credibility.

Since the MSM won't cover it, start tweeting the link to this story, and posting it on Facebook.

I didn't think anything Joe Bite Me could do would shock me, but what he said to Mr. Woods was sadly typical of this administration, and it is shocking.

Glad to see this is a 'Must Read' because...

...it is a must read. Clear. Insightful.

There are still details that have not been disclosed, for whatever reasons. Today, there was a link to a blog, closed for obvious and publicly posted reasons, that said that two Seals were responsible for saving 20 lives and killing 60 attackers before dying themselves. Doesn't that sound like the kind of detail we should have? Doesn't that sound like a little support could have made all the difference? What are the ROEs for staff?

Don't let this get buried and, yes, impeach. If there's truth to this: Impeach.

This catastrophe was followed 3 days later by an attack on a NATO air base in Afghanistan that resulted in the death of senior Marine Commander and the destruction on the ground of 8 Harrier jump jets. Our Commander in Chief is incapable of protecting our men and our assets. He needs to be voted out of office and then examined for criminal and civil charges.

#21, very good points. The Choomgangsta won’t even help his Aunt Zeituni and Uncle Onyango, both in the US illegally. Oh wait, they haven’t been deported yet and are still free loading, so he might have intervened somehow. And half brother George is still living in a shack in Kenya, Seems like a caring, compassionate CIC would at least bring his kinfolks into the WH and let them share free room and board with his mother-in law.

If he ignores his own flesh and blood, why would he care about anyone else, including protecting our own citizens from terrorist attacks, a la Benghazi?

Posters are wrong here. A bad military decision or even ignoring Americans in peril is not grounds for impeachment. 0bama has plenty of laws he has broken that ARE grounds for impeachment and they are being ignored. However, this kind of behavior routinely gets generals and other officers fired and as the (alleged) CIC 0bama MUST be fired this election. I'm wondering why there aren't people in the (smallish) crowds at 0bama rallies starting to call him a murderer.

The Benghazi abandonment of the ambassador is eerily similar to the scene in The Godfather where Don Corleone should have been surrounded by security but Michael found him in an empty hospital with assassins on the way. Who would want the ambassador dead or captured? The Libyans certainly didn't issue the orders to stand down. There is big treachery afoot here and the regime didn't have time to coordinate the lies.

Obama must be impeached after the election so history will know the truth so pathetically
hidden by the dying media.
Although the Democrat Senate will not remove him from office , God Willing , We the People will have taken care of that on Nov 6.

I recall that the Black Hawk Down fiasco in Somalia under Clinton convinced the islamicists that America was a paper tiger. They believed that all that was necessary to make America run was a few casualties. This will renew them in that belief and encourage them to be more aggressive. They are going around bragging publicly about defeating America. It is only the useless president they have defeated but they will not understand that in their arrogance! Many more will die before the fallout of this failure to act is overcome!

I appreciate all of these elequent comments on an excruciatingly profound Clarice essay, because i am so angry and heartbroken that words come haltingly.

The total failure of establishment media to hound the BO regime for the truth is deplorable and an outrage against the Constitution.

The Founders had put so much trust in the media being the guardians of the People. What a joke are the old, tired, effete media... only FOX is an exception, but then, FOX is not really one of the "in crowd media."

There is, of course, the "new media" for which we are so grateful.

Sadly and dangerously, a great many people still rely on the establishment media. Their folly; our chagrin.

Liberty hangs in the balance when Truth is a worthless commodity for a majority of people. We need to demonstrate that TRUTH is the ESSENTIAL commodity.

The day after the murderous violence in Benghazi, Obama, with haggard Hillary by his side, makes a platitudinous speech about 9/11 and generalizes about terrorism. Then he flies off to Reno, etc., for fund-raising and campaigning, and days and days and nights, lots of 'em, of fun and frivolity on comedy shows.

--doesn't this say all we need to know about the man?

Important "specials" on FOX.

These walking talking full colostomy bags in the WH situation room remind me of what I used to tell my nubile daughters when they were dating. I would ask them if they knew how to tell when an adolescent boy was lying. They would usually respond negatively and I would tell them that his lip are moving. With the obama group, when they have sound coming out of their mouths and their lips are moving, you know that they are lying.

Shouldn't they be charged for aiding and abetting if they remain silent on such an important issue because they are in love with Zippy ?

Why isn't Congress up in arms ?

If nutty nancy can take a mike for anything else, why is she silent now ?

The Poverty Hoax

A major concern of progressives is their supposed interest in the fate of the poor. They purport to be the champions of the poor. But the truth is that they need the poor more than the poor need them, in a symbiotic relationship. As much as 75% of the money allocated to the poor is consumed by the vast bureaucracies that administer this aid. These agencies are actually job programs for college graduates who would often find it difficult to find employment in the private sector. The clumsiness and incoherence, if not madness, of this administration’s foreign policies are creating havoc around the world. No one wrapped up the story of the chaos better than Sultan Knish did this week: When Bush left office at the end of his second term, the region was mostly stable aside from Iran’s nuclear program. By the time Obama had finished his first term, it was in a state of endless war. [snip] Bush had sought to stabilize the Middle East by removing Saddam. Obama instead destabilized it by trying to remove every government that was in any way friendly to the

Calling a Spade a ´Garden Implement´

Early on in the Genesis chapter of the Bible much is made of Adam giving names to all living creatures. Like everything about the Bible, the meaning of this event is subject to many interpretations, the most often given is that it signals man’s dominion over the other creatures of the earth. I don’t dispute that reading, but to me, the naming description signifies that there can be no real communication among people unless the names we use mean the same thing to all of us. A spade certainly is a garden implement, but if you are in the gardening

The “I’m shocked, shocked” line from Casablanca is too much a cliché to carry any -- umm -- shock value, but surely it fits Putin’s actions against Ukraine. But the civilized world, mainly the Anglosphere, has long shown its utter indifference to human life by ignoring mass killings on a scale surpassed only by the Nazis and the Communists in the last century. More than a hundred thousand in Syria and still going on; perhaps a million or more in North Korea; millions in Africa, uncounted tens of thousands or more in Iran. The one place we intervened was Iraq, with

This week President Obama, following a long string of bloopers that the media underplays or ignores, spelled respect "R-S-P-E-C-T´". It was a fitting blunder in a week in which he and America´s left wing took a series of pratfalls. To start off, Medea Benjamin, master media manipulator and water carrier for countless leftist tyrants, winged into Cairo apparently to lend her inestimable support to the Moslem Brotherhood. The Egyptian government treated her less courteously than did the Democrat legislators who regularly let her and her pinko buddies disrupt Congressional hearings. In one instance her team, which had certainly been invited in by Democrats

When Paul Audley took the job as president of FilmL.A. in late 2008, he was astounded to discover that physical production on the $70 million pic “Battle: Los Angeles” wasn’t being done in Los Angeles.“It stunned me that the movie was shooting in Louisiana, and that the state of California was letting this happen,” he recalls. In the subsequent five years, the situation has only worsened, despite the film production incentive program California enacted in 2009, which provides for $100 million a year in tax credits for what’s usually 20% of production costs. That’s significantly smaller than programs offered by other

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our
