Myriad are the failures of the Obama administration, but none is more tragic, or more frightening, or more foreboding of catastrophe than the appalling mishandling of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi. Details continue to leak, but it’ll be hard to top the bombshell from Fox News at week’s end reporting that repeated urgent requests for military help during the attack were summarily denied — for hours. In those hours, former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was killed after he chose to disobey an order to “stand down” — and rushed to aid his fellow Americans.
Obama is not interested in helping Americans, especially white Americans. His only real purpose in being President is to bring America to its knees financially and he is executing a well thought out plan to accomplish that.
This administration will fall to a blow-out defeat at the polls in a few days, and then the vermin at the heart of the odious caricature of the once proud Democrat party, along with their slobbering ideologue fan club in the Jurassic media, need to exit stage left.
America has allowed the Marxist/Communist/Socialist cabal their turn. It's time to return to the Founders' vision, the one that gave us the greatest experiment in human freedom in history.
It has been a long nightmare, but lesson done, lesson learned, let's go home.
Reagan's decisive and courageous action in Grenada:
Contrast Obama's passivity with Ronald Reagan's decisive intervention almost thirty years ago. When trouble erupted in Grenada trapping eight hundred medical students, Reagan ignored warnings that sending troops would be too dangerous abd sent in the Marine's for a successful rescue operation. That's leadership that protects Americans.
The whiff of sulphur coming out of this White House is choking the life out of this country.
But the failure to respond — leaving an American diplomat and his security team to their fate — defies comprehension.
Imagine what a re-elected Obama with his "private security force" he promised he'd form would do to American citizens, now that we know he's got no problems with callously letting Americans overseas, our military and unborn babies die for his political agenda and for his aspirations to be Dictator For Life.
Obama is a closet muslim. It would be apostasy for him to allow an American to shoot a muslim. He does everything he possibly can to avert this, even at the cost of American lives. We have a traitor and an agent of Islam/algeida in the WH..
And to think that Bite Me is only a heart beat away (for now anyway) from being the most powerful person on the planet. Just wondering what were Obie's selection criteria in 2008 that resulted in Bite Me getting picked. I'll let somebody else write this up.
Rather than incompetence, this may be a case study in cowardice. Remember that Hillary was part of the Clinton administration who insisted that the military could not be used if there was any risk of loss of life. Thus they ordered the military to keep above a certain altitude when flying bombing runs in Bosnia / Kosovo, although the accuracy of the bombers were severely compromised. So she is very risk adverse. And she was right there as a big part of the decision-making process. Valerie is obviously risk adverse also, based on what we learned of her advice not to go after bin Laden. And Obama displayed signs of moral cowardice in the Illinois senate when he would just vote "present." This all smacks of moral and physical cowardice. Panetta looked very uncomfortable defending the decision to not go for the rescue. Of course, if he had any moral courage, he would resign his office immediately. But he is a more loyal Democrat than he is an American.
Time to clean house. Send this bunch of thugs and incompetents packing and mark them as totally inept at running a street corner newsstand much less the United State of America. The contrast is so visible this morning...Ty Woods who disobeyed an order to try to rescue Americans....Obama who ordered "stand down" to let them die. God help us purge the WH of these blood sucking leaches. God bless the Ty Woods of this world who put humanity ahead of politics.
Gee, what will be the topics for today's round table discussions?
Well, Hurricane Sandy, of course. And Hurricane Sandy as compared to Hurricane Katrina vis-a-vis minorities. The effect of Hurricane Sandy on minoritie and single women voters. And finally, how Hurricane Sandy won't cause any damage at all to Mitt Romney's brand new, luxurious La Jolla, CA beachfront Spanish bungalow. (with a split-sceen background picture of Mitt and Ann beaming at each other, and the house)
My conclusion then was and is that he wants this country to be defeated. If he is re-elected then I fear his plans will be successful. And yet I had a small business person ask me this week how I, as a woman, could vote for Romney. I think I am sometimes living in an alternate universe from those who support this traitor.
Great post, 26! I was typing to rephrase the original with the word "marbles" as I read yours - I stopped, yours is much better, Milk Duds, indeed. Mooche's answer just might be "veeerrry innnterrrresttinng", ala Arte Johnson.
As more and more information gets out about this Bengahzi business, it's clear that criminal activity has been committed. As such, it should be fully investigated and charges brought against those who have committed said acts. And prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Of course, action like this would require an AG and DOJ and a federal prosecutor that has those male body parts that are as big as cue balls. And it is/would require someone in the WH to initiate that investigation.
I hope and pray that Mitt Romney, when he is elected, will do the right thing and start the wheels of justice turning. This is something that should not be swept under the rug simply because Obozo lost the election. Americans DIED because of their actions. And I've heard all my life that NO one is exempt from the law. That should include former presidents (and any other high ranking politicos).
I don't know where to put this, so I will post here and hope it's okay. I can't even believe what I just heard at my black Baptist church. The sermon topic was "Holding Fast to the Truth" from II Timothy 1:13.
About halfway through the sermon, our pastor began to explain that, in our generation the definition of "truth" is changing. It is now based on opinion, not on the Bible. And then he began to explain that as Christians, we must be committed to the fact that the truths in the Bible don't change. Among these truths are the fact that killing babies in the womb is wrong. Marriage between men and men and between women and women is wrong. Then he went on to talk about the election.
He said that, yes, this election is about the poor, but unborn babies are the poorest of the poor. They have no voice. We have a chance to speak for them, and if we do not, judgment awaits. He said that blacks were born black and were treated as property with no rights. By God's grace, black people been given rights. He said that gays who try to say that their struggle is the same as the black struggle against slavery are simply wrong. Then he said that one party is for killing babies in the womb and for gay marriage. The candidate of the other party is a Mormon and changes his position all the time. But in this case, he said, we have to choose the lesser of two evils.
My pastor took a great risk to say these things. May God honor his courage.
When Barry was conducting his search for a stupid white man that would not give him any competition in the intelligence department, he might have gone just a little higher up the food chain. If Biden worked in the private sector, he might have qualified as a cab driver or a highway department worker. As it is, he embarrasses this country across the world in ways that will take us decades to repair. Day Quayle, Sarah Palin and GWB are thoroughly exonerated from whatever faults the democrats imagined for them.
#40, I did a search. You have said on many threads that George W. Bush "allowed 9/11 to happen", plus a lot of other strange things, such as there is no black person on Lucianne.com and that all of us are "biggoted"(sic).
I'm really interested in how President "allowed" 9/11 to happen. He had been in office less than 9 months and the first two of those were taken up trying to put his administration together after the long Gore-caused court delays. What is it he did?
Thank you, #34, for calling it EVIL. I have long thought of Obama and his minions as evil, and I don't care if that sounds crazy to some. Evil takes many forms, such as refusing to respond to calls for help, and letting born-alive babies die of neglect. And professing love and loyalty to your country while really tearing it down and apart. What I can't understand is how so many people can't or won't see this president for the lying, shallow, classless, and yes, evil person that he is.
Karma can be a real b**** sometimes. For the sake of the country and all freedom-loving people around the globe, let's hope karma is a real b**** to Barry O and his gang of thugs on election day. If anyone ever deserved to be turned out of office, it is Barry and Joe.
Nobody should be shocked by this. Obama is walking his talk. He has changed the rules of engagement and that is why our troops are getting murdered at a high rate. He is seditious and he should be thrown in prison for murder.
#40, the multi-poster, always rewrites history. It is all leftist propaganda. There is absolutely no reason to believe that Romney has any desire to go to war with anyone, but because Obama and the Democrat machine say so, the leftist parrots, like multi-poster, repeat the same falsehoods. It is too bad that someone would want to be here with a such a negative closed-mind. Oh, and yes, there are black people on this forum. Just as there are hispanics, gays and people from all walks of life and backgrounds.
The big talk is just how many seats will the GOP pick up in the Senate next year, and we’ve spent a lot of time right here talking about just that. But how about the House? We do still have a bicameral legislature, even if it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell them apart. The House is in the strange place where although it’s almost universally reviled, not much is going to change. Yes, gerrymandering is a part of that, but it isn’t the whole story. People are fed up with Congress generally, but with ObamaCare specifically and increasingly. To punish the
The president calls income inequality the ‘defining issue of our time.’ So it seems fair to grade him on his success at addressing it. By any measure, he has failed spectacularly. Maybe it’s the Christmas season. But when December rolls around, President Obama’s thoughts seem to turn to income inequality. On December 6, 2011, he gave what the White House billed as a “defining” speech on the subject in Osawatomie, Kansas, site of a historic address by Teddy Roosevelt on “New Nationalism.” In the 2011 speech, Obama began by painting a portrait of the 1950s and 1960s as an ideal period in American
Detroit is declaring bankruptcy while its city council considers contributing public money to build a new Hockey Stadium for the billionaire owner of the Red Wings. While Judge Steven Rhodes was trying to figure out if the city of Detroit could declare Chapter 9 bankruptcy, the Detroit City Council was also doing some thinking. Should the council kick in about $45 million of city funding towards the $650 million entertainment complex that would include a residential section and a new arena for the Detroit Red Wings National Hockey League franchise? The city council decided not to rule it out and has a
Calling himself a “scapegoat” for a political hiring system that continues to this day, Chicago’s convicted former Streets and Sanitation commissioner Al Sanchez filed nominating petitions Monday for a seat on the Cook County Board. The longtime head of the Hispanic Democratic Organization (HDO) Southeast, Sanchez is just five months removed from the federal prison camp in Marion, Ill., where he lost 50 pounds. He spent 2.5 years there for rigging city hiring and promotions to benefit soldiers in HDO, a now-defunct army of political workers that helped to elect and re-elect former Mayor Richard M. Daley. Monday was the filing deadline for
Probably the most jarring election story of 2013 was the successful recall of two Democratic state senators in Colorado. Both represented districts that had voted for President Obama by wide margins: In the recall, Angela Morse ran 15 points behind the president, while John Morse (pictured) ran 12 points behind him. These were extreme cases: low-turnout recall elections where the pro-recall forces were unusually energized by the gun issue. But they highlight what is probably the most troubling indicator for Democrats right now as we inch toward the midterm-election season: The drop-off in Democratic performance in elections this year -- Democrats
Earlier this year, John Kerry and Chuck Hagel took over the top jobs at the Department of State and the Department of Defense, respectively. Since then, Kerry has been hyper-active. But whatever happened to Hagel? He has impinged on our consciousness only once, as Kerry’s sidekick during congressional hearings on authorizing an attack on Syria. The impingement was slight. Kerry and Gen. Dempsey did almost all of the talking. Hagel was content with silence except for an occasional misstatement of fact (the Pentagon had to walk back his claim that Russia supplies Syria with chemical weapons). Presumably, Hagel was under orders to
Former Vice President Dick Cheney reluctantly commented today on the rift between his two daughters Liz and Mary Cheney, saying that he was surprised that Mary, who is lesbian, and her wife attacked Liz on Facebook. “We were surprised that there was an attack launched against Liz on Facebook, and wished it hadn’t happened,” Cheney said at the National Press Club. “It’s always been dealt with within the context of the family and frankly that’s our preference.” After Liz Cheney, a candidate for Senate in Wyoming, made comments on Fox News Sunday indicating that she supports a “traditional” definition of marriage, her
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
President Obama will cast growing income inequality and a decline in economic mobility as a “fundamental threat to the American dream” during a speech Wednesday in Washington. The speech will serve as an early preview for next year’s State of the Union address, according to a White House official, who said Obama would focus much of his energy over the next three years on the issue. “The decisions we make over the next few years will determine whether or not our children will grow up in an America where, if you work hard, you can get ahead,” the official said.
Good stuff from Jonathan Turley at today’s House hearing on executive power, although I regret that I couldn’t find a more user-friendly format for you to watch. There’s no compilation clip; you’ll have to make do with the C-SPAN embed by fast-forwarding to the time cues I give you and being patient while the vid buffers (and buffers, and buffers).(Snip)That brings us to point two: Even if Congress can’t stop Obama, the courts can. The problem there, though, says Turley, is that O and the DOJ have argued successfully in many cases that no one has standing to sue him
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
[Video] President Obama on Wednesday declared that addressing income inequality would be the focus of “all” of the White House’s efforts “for the rest of my presidency.” In a sweeping address that touched on raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure and ending tax breaks for the wealthy, Obama warned that the American economy has become “profoundly unequal,” declaring economic mobility the “challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increasing inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe,” he said in an hour-long
Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways. Here’s the statement from Martin Bashir, via email: After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon
