Just posted a nice piece from Peter Foster of the Telegraph:
"Obama’s election strategy has collapsed, says Romney camp as their man begins to believe"
It begins:
It is a freezing cold autumn night in Ohio, but as an expectant crowd gathers under one of the Buckeye state's famous big skies it is suddenly evident that Mitt Romney's new-found bounce isn't confined to the opinion polls.
I like the image conjured by Foster and suddenly realized how much better I've been sleeping lately!

I was too scared to watch the last one live...this one, however, I cannot wait.
Good Luck Mr.Ryan, please don't go the Midwestern "polite" route...take it to Old Joe.
I've said my prayer the The Holy Spirit to guide and inspire Paul Ryan.
Will be back later to check comments... could it really be less than a month before we get our country back???

I say Biden is going to get carved up and served on toast.
If so, it closes the deal.
If not, won't matter.
There will be hope for our country.
Things will change.

I think Paul's best strategy would be to simply refute everything Biden says by reminding viewers that it's untrue. The fact that Obama/Biden are lying about just about everything seems to have taken hold amongst the voting public.

The problem with Obama's response of saying "He didn't challenge Romney's lies" to his debate failure is that if it can be shown that Romney wasn't lying then by default, Obama was.
He should have said we have a difference of opinion on the best way to approach the problems the country faces. By not doing that Obama put himself in a logical box. If Romney and Ryan are shown to have been telling the truth(They have been despite what the hard left says)then the only response is to adopt their opponents position - or endorse them and drop out of the race.
Very poor strategy on Obama's part

Same silly Biden smirk, same "my friend..." garbage. Moderator even tries to derail Ryan by bringing up the misdeeds of soldiers last year when the topic is about what happened last month. Ryan had an excellent opening to bring up Obama's partying in Vegas and schmoozing with Letterman instead of addressing the crisis, but it's good that he stayed on message.

Yes #68 he is trying a whole bunch of things at once, those included. Biden is also grasping for an opportunity to ape Romney in debate #1 saying "I don't know what you're talking about" - because that worked so well. Only problem is when Biden says that it's true!
And OMG the little girl "moderator" just showed her true colors - she just started debating Ryan! I call foul!

I can't believe Radditz is allowing Biden to interrupt Ryan. It is rude and disrespectful. Biden's laughing and smirking is juvenile and undignified. He's such a jerk!!! Ryan is cool and unruffled and he has the facts. I don't know if I can take the whole debate. Biden just sickens me. I'm having difficulty getting this posted. Finally.
About Biden's goofy expression. I think that is a left over from when our girl Sarah did a ''Bobbit'' on him in his last debate with her.
This was painful to my ears as wearing ear plugs. Radditz kept interrupting Ryan 20-30 seconds into an answer to explain more. She had no control, only the BIAS we know is ABC. This debate sucked.
Biden did nothing but outright LIE, and Ryan could have taken him every time to the mat if only he was a frequent poster here and knew daily events. It would have been a real smackdown if Ryan could have thrown Biden off, with explaining GM got stimulus money to bail out the UNION, not the company. Romney was right to say it should have gone under and let the bankruptcy courts bring it back...or not.

What a train wreck! With all of the whining, screeching and interrupting that Biden did, Ryan was never able to answer a question. And if he got close to answering, the moderator interrupted.
Ryan did the best that he could have done under the circumstances. Ryan didnt advance the ball........and I dont think that Biden helped his team.

After the first few comments here when I refreshed I could not get back in for the rest of the debate. I could not even get into the main page so I could read stories. After a half dozen refreshes it was nothing but total lockout.
Maybe these wrt for debates should be on another URL so as not to block the main site.
Seeing only 88 comments just now as I finally got in tells, sorry about it, this was a failure.
But let's be honest on the other side. So many people wanted to be here that the site just crashed. Ah well, maybe next time.

Biden's smile (often at inappropriate times) reminds me of Alice in Wonderland:
Alice: My Daddy told me to beware of those who smile a lot. Cheshire Cat: Why? Alice: Because they are either very jolly all the time, which is unlikely, or have something to hide. Cheshire Cat: But I’m not smiling. Alice: What’s that on your face then? Cheshire Cat: It’s a grin. Alice: I don’t know if it’s better or worse, because a grin is a sort of giant smile. Cheshire Cat: Smile or grin, maybe there’s another possible reason for it. Alice: What’s that? Cheshire Cat: Maybe it’s because I’m mad?

WE THE PEOPLE don't like jerks and Biden's picture is in two places in the dictionary next to the word jerk and next to the word idiot. Also, the people knew Biden was an idiot and now they know he is a jerk!

Ryan presented the facts with clarity, wisdom and respect for both the rude and typically obnoxious Biden AND the yappy moderator. Martha, the obviously biased, 'molderator,' also repeatedly interrupted Ryan making it 2-to-one against Paul Ryan. I prefer the self disciplined, knowledgable & therefore merited Paul Ryan as VP than the current smart aleck, rude and shifty guy at that table!

Paul Ryan looked great - all policy and rationale. Joe Bitme looked like typical Dem leadership - deranged.

Yahoo has a poll: Biden 38% Ryan 62%
Immediate aftermath. Yahoo not a conservative site.
Biden's smug arrogance came through.

It's obvious who the adult was. Biden made himself look bad to even the liberals. The weird smile and laughter were both very offputting. Not appropriate when one is talking about serious matters.

Finally got in, same as last week, very hard to access. But I do appreciate all that L.com does.
This was an ambush debate by Biden's act and the moderator's behavior. She was lousy.

Credible sources indicate that the president of the United States watched in real time what might well be called the Benghazi snuff film.Among those sources is retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer. At the time of the assault, Shaffer relates, two U.S. drones were hovering to the consulate and recorded the final hours of the attack, which killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other brave Americans (From LCom Archive originally published November ´12)

The murderer is the new celebrity. He emerges out of nowhere with a rags to mass murder story, and is swiftly accorded all the trappings of fame. Reporters track down anyone who knew him to learn about his childhood and his main influences. Relatives and friends both contribute fuzzy anecdotes, mostly indistinguishable from the ones they would present if he were competing on American Idol or running for president.

He is known only as "Baby Boy B," a fetus estimated to be 28 weeks old, found frozen in an altered one-gallon plastic water jug in Dr. Kermit Gosnell´s West Philadelphia abortion clinic. His passing went unnoticed and undocumented, but on Monday, prosecution and defense lawyers struggled to get Philadelphia´s chief medical examiner to say whether he was stillborn or killed by Gosnell after being born alive during an abortion.

I’ve been writing about media coverage of abortion for many years. And so have many others. If you haven’t read David Shaw’s “Abortion Bias Seeps Into The News,” published in the Los Angeles Times back in 1990, you should. That report also explains why we cover the topic here at GetReligion. But the thing is that I’m getting kind of sick of pointing out egregious bias only to see things not just remain bad but get worse. Just think, in the last year, we saw the media drop any pretense of objectivity and bully the Susan G. Komen Foundation

There is a fine and often unspoken line of trust between journalists and their sources, which often takes months, if not years, to establish. Break that line with one source and you’ll face an uphill battle the next time you want to establish confidential rapport with another. But what happens when the trade off is jail time? It’s a dilemma Fox News reporter Jana Winter is facing right now, provided she refuses to reveal her sources.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

On Thursday´s NBC Today, in a desperate attempt to deflect from the scandals engulfing the Obama administration, co-host Savannah Guthrie wondered: "I read a headline yesterday that said Republicans see blood in the water. That they see a president who´s very vulnerable politically. Is there a danger that they will overreach?" Chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd agreed with the slanted premise: "There is. I mean, that´s what happened to Republicans in 1998 with Bill Clinton.

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). When asked about the untrammeled snooping on Associated Press reporters and editors,

“I look forward to taking some questions at tomorrow’s press conference,” President Obama said last night, after announcing the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller. The president scheduled a noon press conference today with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in honor of his visit. Reporters, however, found themselves waiting outside in the rain for Obama, who was 47 minutes late. Only New York Times reporter Mark Landler had an umbrella.
