Email Shows State Department
Rejecting Request of Security
Team at US Embassy in Libya

ABC News, by Jake Tapper

Original Article

ABC News has obtained an internal State Department email from May 3, 2012, indicating that the State Department denied a request from the security team at the Embassy of Libya to retain a DC-3 airplane in the country to better conduct their duties. Copied on the email was U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in a terrorist attack on the diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, Sept. 11, 2012, along with three other Americans. That attack has prompted questions about whether the diplomatic personnel in that country were provided with adequate security support.

Comments:
And on and on it goes. The debate on foreign policy will be very interesting. How is 0bama going to spin his way out of this? Or will it even be brought up?

BE PREPARED for another "wag the dog" epsiode just before th election, where Obama orders bombing in Libya to "avenge" the death of the Ambassador.

from CNN 1998
"President Clintons announcement three days after admitting for the first time an inappropriate relationship with Ms. Lewinsky that he ordered military strikes in two countries"

this will be done, along with releasing a movie about Bin Laden's killing, to shore up Obama's nat. security cred...

you read it here first.

I call BS. Most DC-3s were built before or during WWII. Not something you'd want as a lifeline.

OP, he won't have to spin anything. The press will never mention it. It's already headed down the memory hole. BTW - is the U.S. government still flying DC-3s??

A request for a DC3 is NOT a request for security. I don't know what happened, but can the msm do their job and get the facts?

This would be hilarious if it weren't so serious. The idea that the United States of America is protecting its foreign ambassadors from terrorists with an antique airplane is astounding. It conjures up the images of the Polish cavalry riding horseback into the face of German tanks during WWII.

So the Regime denies security to our Ambassador and his staff while they are in openly hostile territory but give Valarie Jarrett 5 Secret Service Agent to protect her. This is criminal. Hillary should not be fired. She should go to jail for criminal negligence and wrongful death.

DC3/C47 is one of the best and toughest aircraft ever built. I don't think there was ever a DC3 crash caused by airframe failure. It is still used in South Florida for passenger service to the nearby Bahamas.

I totally agree with the previous poster that DC3s will be flying with Starfleet.

Romney should be able to blow obama out of the water when they have the national security debate. All obama can say is ubl is dead. It's oh so much more than that. Plenty of time for more facts to come out.

Facebook removes my post about

Your friendly neighborhood columnist has once again run afoul of Facebook’s elusive community standards. Now before you call up the preacher and put me on the church prayer list – let me assure the posting was neither unseemly nor ungentlemanly. This time I was censored for writing something about Rancher Cliven Bundy. I realized I had landed in the Facebook gulag when I tried to post our daily Bible verse. However, I was unable to post anything because Facebook had taken great offense to something I had written. “We removed something your page posted,” Facebook told me in a rather unpleasant message.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Rep. Colleen Hanabusa (D-HI) says her constituents are "frustrated and embarrassed" by Hawaii´s failed Obamacare exchange, which cost taxpayers $204 million and signed up only 8,000 people. On Wednesday, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) announced it will launch an investigation into Hawaii´s busted Obamacare program. "This is not a partisan issue, this is an economic issue," said state Sen. Sam Slom. Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie previously predicted "hundreds of thousand of people" would sign up for Obamacare in the President´s home state. On Thursday, President Barack Obama tried to rally Democrats to

Fox News Poll: 49 percent think White

Fox News, by Dana Blanton    Original Article

Nearly half of American voters think the IRS targeted conservative groups at the request of the White House, and most want Congress to keep investigating the matter. The latest Fox News poll also finds 69 percent don’t feel President Obama has followed through on his vow to “find out exactly what happened on this.” By a 49-41 percent margin, voters believe the Obama administration “intentionally had the IRS target conservative political groups.” That includes 26 percent of Democrats, 52 percent of independents and 71 percent of Republicans. Meanwhile, 67 percent of voters want Congress to keep investigating the IRS until

Reacting to Sunday´s hate crime at two Jewish centers in Kansas City, Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) introduced today a bill to update the government´s 20-year-old report on hate speech in the media. The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 would examine the role of the Internet and other telecommunications in encouraging hate crimes based on gender, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, and would provide recommendations to address such crimes. On Sunday, the eve of the Jewish Passover, a 73-year-old man shot and killed three people at the Jewish Community Center

Report: Obama Considering Bond

Even though the number of illegal immigrants who have been deported through the courts has dropped by 43% since President Barack Obama took office, the Obama administration may enact administrative changes to allow bond hearings for detained illegal immigrants. According to the Los Angeles Times, this could result in "several thousand" illegal immigrants being released from jails and "could slow the pace of deportations" even more. The Times notes that the White House is scrambling to "ease the concerns of Latino groups and other traditional allies that have turned on President Obama in recent weeks" by trying to brand him

It’s pitiful that we’ve reached this point, but Obama’s account of this chat really is more credible than Cantor’s. O’s position on immigration is straightforward: He wants amnesty badly, partly for legacy reasons and partly because he’s understandably keen to legalize a few million future Democratic voters, and he’s hoping the GOP will go along so that he doesn’t have to do something risky like an executive moratorium on deportations. The GOP leadership’s position is anything but straightforward. They’re convinced that they need to pass some sort of immigration bill before 2016 or else Latinos will hand the White House

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come
