Flaming Tweet: Jack Welch
Says White House Games
the Jobs Data

Former General Electric Co. (GE) Chief Executive Officer Jack Welch accused the Obama administration on Twitter of manipulating today’s employment data for political advantage. “Unbelievable jobs numbers..these Chicago guys will do anything..can’t debate so change numbers,” Welch, 76, wrote in a message posted immediately after the U.S. Labor Department reported that the economy added 114,000 jobs last month. That pushed the unemployment rate to 7.8 percent, the lowest since President Barack Obama took office in January 2009. Welch’s Twitter message went viral on the social-media site, as political commentators

Love the statement: "Can't debate, change the numbers"

Summary of Zero's term. Can't do; lie!

These number are fishy 114,000 jobs added lowers the unemployment rate by .3%? that's every 38,000 jobs lowers the rate by .1%?
That would me that 2.1 million jobs would give us an rate of 0%.
Maybe my math is in error.

Great opportunity for Romney.

Obama is bragging about the increase in part-time workers, seasonal workers as progress forward.
Are you happy with a president who's happy with a bunch of part-time jobs being created?

We need full-time jobs. We can create them in the coal industry, the oil industry, the natural gasoline industry, the construction industry, the steel making industry and many more but the Obama administration is doing all they can to prevent creation of those jobs.

We have abundant energy resources. This is our advantage in a global marketplace. We need to take advantage of that which will help lower energy costs for all of us, and help businesses compete by lowering their costs.
We can, and will, do it safe and responsibly.

The BLS uses two employment surveys, the establishment survey, which tracks employment reported by business, and the household survey, which tracks employment reported by individuals in a telephone survey. It's common for them to be very different in a month, but they typically trend together. This month's gap, though, is ridiculous. The employment survey says employment is up 115K jobs. The household survey says it's up 873K jobs. Unemployment--now "down" to 7.8% just in time for the election--is based on the household survey. Looks very suspicious.

The real rate is over 11% and has been throughout the Marxists' term.

I think they have just jumped the shark. There is no way anyone is going to believe these numbers, especially the millions of unemployed. Even the AssPress had to admit in the Last sentence of their article that most of the hires were part-time.

Okay, someone explain to me how almost every week in Sept unemployment claims were at least 350,000 so that's approx 1.4 million people who lost jobs in sept vs the 104,000 jobs added and the rate dropped to 7.8%? Are people really that stupid? I mean really...that stupid???

Everyone knew there would be the magic number below 8% by November. They have defined enough people as 'out of the labor force' that the number is meaningless. No one believes this stuff anymore.

So a bunch of seasonal workers have been hired. That's nice. What happens after Christmas when all the seasonal employees lose their jobs?

How could anything be suspicious about the household survey. 873,000 new jobs, 582,000 part time. Hmmmm, that's exactly two thirds. Not approximately, exactly. What are the odds of that. U-6 didn't change last month. More bls bs, and for some reason government hiring went on a binge, because we all know how much spare money they have to spend.

Additional info on #6. The telephone survey includes a question as to whether you worked for free on a family farm or in a family business. If you are unemployed and help out on your dad's farm or your neighbor's farm during September's harvest then you are counted as finding work even though you are still unemployed.

I actually had an automated polling service call me about the election. It went exactly like this. "In the upcoming presidential election, if you plan to vote for Barack Obama press 1, if you plan to vote for Mitt Romney press 2, if you plan to vote for a different candidate press 3." (I pressed 2) Next question: "Do you consider your support for Barack Obama very strong, press 1, strong, press 2, weak, press 3, or very weak, press 4." (At this point I hung up)

Why the mention of Welch's age? Is it to devalue his tweet as the rantings of one in the throes of senile dementia?

Schools and police stations were burning in Stockholm as violent riots continued for a fifth consecutive night. Emergency services were called to 70 separate incidents, including two torched primary schools, burning shops and a destroyed library building also housing a local police unit. Despite police claiming that the situation is beginning to calm down, critics say the riots were unavoidable after years of widening social gaps in a country which has the highest proportion of foreign-born citizens in Scandinavia.

Gracin’s handler quickly stepped in, nodding to the recording device in my hand and helpfully reminding him that he was on the record.

As Democrats and the media continue to hammer Virginia lieutenant governor hopeful E.W. Jackson for his past comments on social issues, the Christian minister says he is battling what he calls the “mainstream media’s caricature” of him. In an email sent to The Daily Caller this week, the running mate to Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli said “every one of those comments has a context and were spoken in my role as a minister, not as a candidate.” In particular, the black Republican took issue with the media’s outrage over his comments on abortion.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
