| Pronouncements of who won Wednesday night’s debate in Denver dominated the analysis. Did Mitt Romney effectively land his promised zingers and seem likable enough? Did President Obama defend his record and convey a sense of what a second term would look like? On those big issues, it’s pretty clear: Romney was more on his game — more incisive, more fluid and good-natured through it all. He was tough in his attacks without being vicious or disrespectful. Romney came across as : PRESIDENTIAL. This is the guy the US wants and needs to fix the economy and to speak to world leaders and not apologize to them. Fogettabout the comparisons being pushed that Jon Cary beat George W. Bush in at least their first debate too. Jon Cary was a phenomenal liar and fraud and still is. He lacks character. Mitt Romney is a charitable and giving family man who has given to his faith and his workers. And I believe that Romney is far smarter than Kerry (Cary). I remember when G.W Bush beat Al Gore in their first debate. The media tried play it as a tie.
Interestingly they are not doing that this time. Even the legacy media know Obama was beaten like a rented mule last night

When Obama said we don't need any more or new roads in the suburbs,it was very telling of what his long term view of the country is.When you look at driving up the costs of energy(which would be even higher if the left got cap and trade) and the building of high speed rail,his intentions are to chase white flighters back into crummy urban areas.The real goal of Marxism is for everyone but the ruling class to be equally miserable.

It's quite amusing watching some of the "opposition" blogs try to spin this first debate. And one of the most laughable responses comes from the clueless Charles Johnson at the Cult of Little Green Footballs, who said, "One of the most interesting moments for me: learning that Mitt Romney doesn’t trust his own sons to tell the truth." This was in response to Romney's statement that “Look, I got five BOYS. I’m used to people saying something that’s not always true, but just keep repeating it.” Clearly, Johnson doesn't have kids, because any parent knows how kids can lie to you over and over again with a straight face.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. Republican operatives in Virginia, though, predicted a razor-thin victory for their candidate in the state.

A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
