Obama aides concede
Romney won on 'style'

Obama campaign aides are conceding that Mitt Romney won the debate on "style points," but are hammering the Republican nominee over the substance of his remarks. "He wins the style points," deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said on CNN in the aftermath of the debate. "But that's not what's been dogging his campaign. What is dogging his campaign are the policies that he doubled down on tonight." But she launched into an attack on the substance of what Romney said, saying that he had backed away from his own tax plan in Wednesday's debate "He's not being honest with

Comments:
Romney won on substance too you pack of maroons. That's why every poll has him overwhelmingly winning by at least 2 to 1. And you can't spin 0bama not being stupid. They will try but the Republicans only have to counter by replaying 0bama's poor performance to people.

I smell panic. I heard that after the debate in the spin room there were numerous elected officials in support of Romney and none for Obama. Only Cutter, Pflouffe and Axelrod. Romney destroyed the Obama narrative tonight. He's not out of touch, he's not an elitist out for only the rich. The next debate is foreign and domestic policy in a town hall format. It's hosted by gallup and moderated by Crowley. The audience will be all undecideds chosen by gallup. It's Romneys chance to knock Obama out.

Decidedly, OP! Substance will win over style and both Romney and Ann have substance.

I didn't see the beginning of the debate, thank heavens, or I would have hurled over Obama's style when he talked about his 20th anniversary. Bad form, very bad form.

I don't think enough of the electorate will be fooled by Obama's spinners saying he "won on style."

obama lacked style and substance. He thought he was going to get oohs and aahs when he mentioned his and Arms' anniversary, but all he got was dead silence. It was all downhill from there.

What do you expect them to say? They are going to keep hammering the idea that Romney isn't giving enough details of how he is going to do what he says he will do.

Foreign policy. A 6th grader could destroy Obama on his ) lack of ) a foreign policy, just as long as he/she could spell appeasement.Only a delusional man would ever think that by kowtowwing ( SP ) to Muslim terrorists, upending decades of stable Middle Eastern Governments, sending enormous amounts of money to these Countries, fighting non-wars, having a female Secretary of State as the main contact with Muslims, and on and on would result in Democratic Governments in that part of the World. They mock us in private and in public for being spineless and
stupid. Their governments are RELIGIOUS based, not secular based, and they want all the peoples on Earth to believe as they do.
They only respect strong man and strong Countries. And lastly ,we have shown the back of our hand to Israel, one of our main allies in the World. One of the most disgraceful actions a U>S> president has ever done.

Barry didn't want to be there because he knows he's stuck with Michelle tonight and she's not his type. He would have lost anyway, because TOTUS wasn't there.

Chris Matthews's reactions were some of the best of the evening. His head didn't actually explode, but there was a clear danger there.

Was hoping for a good performance from Mitt, but this was stellar. Time to pony up some contribution dollars.

Also, I would have loved it if when Barry kept asking about details of Mitt's plan, Mitt would have said, I would give you details, but you wouldn't understand them!!

Funny, because I listened on the radio, and while I didn't think Obama was terrible, I thought Mitt knocked it out of the park. His command of the facts and the issues was impressive. I wanted to stand up and cheer about some of the things he said, but I couldn't because I was in my car!

About that toothy grin, in one of his books (forget which), Barack Hussein mentioned that's the way he smiles to give white people a false sense of his likability. Whenever it shows up, it's a sign of arrogance, condescension and smugness.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

CNN’s Peter Hamby reported that Mitt Romney‘s internal polling showed President Obama leading in Ohio by five percentage points.Per Hamby’s post: The number represented a sharp final bump for Obama in Ohio, a race that had essentially been a tied race through much of the previous week, according to the campaign’s daily tracking. The polling, which also showed a tight race in Pennsylvania, explains why Romney officials decided to send their candidate on last-minute Election Day visits to Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. Republican operatives in Virginia, though, predicted a razor-thin victory for their candidate in the state.

Washington - Early returns on Tuesday in what is anticipated to be a dead even presidential election contained no surprises, as CNN projected President Barack Obama will win his home state of Illinois and eight other races while Republican challenger Mitt Romney will win nine states. All races called so far went as expected after the roller-coaster ride of an election campaign that was buffeted by a superstorm and missteps on both sides. Obama and Romney ran dead even in final polls that hinted at a result rivaling some of the closest presidential elections in history, reflecting the deep political

A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. Twenty-six percent named Sandy as an “important” factor, and 15 percent said it was the “most important” factor in their decision.

Mitt Romney is leading among independents in both Ohio and Virginia, early exit polls show. In Ohio, the former Massachusetts governor takes 56 percent of self-identified independents, compared with 40 percent for President Barack Obama. That’s a huge decrease for Obama from 2008, when the exit polls found him winning independents in Ohio by 12 points, 52 percent to 44 percent for John McCain. The numbers are similar but slightly tighter in Virginia: Romney takes 53 percent of independents there, according to ABC News exit polls, a 12-point lead over Obama. In 2008, Obama won independents in the state by

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
