Rachel Maddow Slams Drudge-
Teased Obama Video, Romney
Campaign’s ‘Racial Appeals’

Mediaite, by Meenal Vamburkar

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 10/2/2012 10:27:31 PM

Today the mainstream media and Beltway media “fell for it all over again,” Rachel Maddow said Tuesday night, referring to Drudge’s teasing the video of a 2007 Obama speech, which The Daily Caller and Sean Hannity deemed “divisive” and “racially charged” (while also noting Obama’s reference to Rev. Jeremiah Wright). Alas, the video was five years old, Maddow said. The video is supposed to show you that Obama’s secret plan is to be “way more black than he seems to you now,” Maddow noted. “This is how he snuck into the White House, right? People didn’t actually know

Comments:
Are they predictable or what? They will be calling Romney and those who published the video as racists when the true racist is Barack Hussein 0bama. They will never admit that and will be in overdrive tomorrow defending the indefensible.

Madcow proves again that she doesn't get it, and never will.

"way more black" ???

Pathetic, laughably so.

...first of all the video shows how 0bama lies...9 months after the speech hs is throwing the pastor under the proverbial bus, but more importantly, how he plays to the audience with his "southern pacific" accent...

...but more important, he is just using the blacks as a means to his end purpose...he has abused his role and we can only imagine what he would do, unrestrained by re-election...just ask Putin...

So pitting one group of American against another group is OK now? Or is it just OK when a black person does it?

She's still an imbecile. The video shows what the press whores have been trying to hide. They were there and selectively edited their reporting by either using the transcripts which didn't match 0bama's presentation or by using very short and edited clips.

This video is way worse than the Romney 47% video... I expect the media to go wild with outrage over these racist comments, and the negative things said about poor people... I'll hold my breath...

Someone should explain to Madcow that she works for (or at least is paid by) MSNBC, and not the DNC.
She should be reporting, not responding.

What a disgrace this ignorant loudmouth is.

Nice try to mischaracterize the significance of what this video shows. It's not that it shows he's "more black" but that he's more racist and divisive than he has portrayed himself. He made a bid deal of saying he wants to be President "not of black America or white America, but of all America". Well, in his own words on this video, he shows he's the President of black America, and he doesn't very much like white America.

He can't escape what's plainly there on the video, no matter how hard his media enablers like Maddow try to convince you that it's your lyin' eyes.

Right, you deceitful cow, an alleged case of 'bullying' by Romney from his high school days defines his character, but a speech from obama in his mid-40s is irrelevant.

Hope her 12 viewers were amused by her idiocy.

I wonder if the DNC will claim this is a "high tech lynching"? I am curious what's in the video, but we all know Øbama is a cunning deceiver so I wouldn't be surprised by anything he spouts. After all, he is the magic Negro,a black 'RAT writer for the LA Times told us. The media tells us he is "black", when we all know he is a Mulatto. Øbama is half-white, he only chose to be associated with Blacks.

What kind of racist comment is "way more black than now" mean?

It's only liberal Democrats who always view everything in racial terms.

Guess there's a certain level of black that's worse than another level according to Maddow.

The Maddow fellow creeps me out. Sometimes he dresses like a woman.

I knew what the liberal spin would be from the second I saw Drudge's initial tweet. Obama says something wildly racist, but conservatives are the racists for exposing it (codespeak: they're playing to their "racist" base).

In a new editorial, the folks at National Review came out strongly against the immigration plan being sponsored by the "Gang of Eight," a group of Senators that includes Marco Rubio (R-FL), calling the bill "Rubio´s Folly." National Review urges Senator Rubio to vote against the bill he has helped craft. It slams the proposed legislation as, "an amnesty-first, enforcement-maybe program drawn up mainly to reflect the priorities of 11 million citizens of other countries rather than the concerns of more than 300 million citizens of the United States." The editors point out that many of the

A pair of centrist senators introduced a bill Wednesday to soften the employer mandate in President Obama´s healthcare law. The healthcare law requires employers to offer coverage to employees who work more than 30 hours per week. Some employers have said they will reduce workers´ hours to avoid the mandate. Sens. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) proposed a bill to move the threshold to 40 hours per week, saying the employer mandate should match the traditional definition of a full-time worker. "What we´ve tried to do is be reflective of the businesses we work with,"

Marco Rubio made another one of his seemingly endless appearances on Sean Hannity’s program to advocate amnesty legislation. Rubio told Hannity that he has opposed amendments by Republican Senators to improve the legislation’s enforcement provisions because a new enforcement provision will be proposed tomorrow that is tougher and more effective than what has been proposed so far. Rand Paul’s amendment, which Rubio voted against, would have given Congress, not the Department of Homeland Security, the ultimate authority to determine if the border is effectively secure. It would also have included enhanced security measures, such as requiring a

To a remarkable degree, liberalism has been institutionalized as an official ideology, funded by your tax dollars. This editorial in Investors Business Daily explains, in shocking detail, how Obamacare is being used to fund Democratic Party operatives and drive Democratic Party enrollment: The Obama administration granted a whopping $910 million to California to set up its insurance exchange. That money is not for bandages, surgery, nurses and doctors to care for the sick. …Shockingly, the $910 million is slated for bureaucracy, including rich compensation packages for exchange employees ($360,000 a year for the executive director) and contracts for

The popularity of Obamacare has crashed to its lowest level in nearly two years, according to a new Kaiser Family Foundation poll. Kaiser´s monthly tracking poll found that just 35 percent have a favorable view of the health reform being put into place Jan. 1 while 43 percent view it unfavorably. The favorability rating of Obamacare has been worse only once, in October 2011, when it fell to 34 percent. Not only is the June poll bad news for the president as his administration struggles to have the health reform program ready for people to begin signing up

Americans are already wary of the federal government having collected their phone records, but now we have Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., setting up a slippery slope of more and more data collection. Earlier today, a Washington Examiner editorial warned that "if phone records are useful now in stopping terrorist attacks, how long before politicians and bureaucrats decide archiving the entire phone call would be even more useful? How long before the limitations and safeguards now in place are set aside?" Within a few hours, King provided an illustration of precisely what the Examiner editors fear. Responding to a

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is feeling the heat as potential GOP allies are now turning against his immigration reform bill. Republican colleagues who were previously viewed as possible “yes” votes are keeping their distance from the 1,075-page measure. On Wednesday, conservative activists ripped Rubio and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) — both sponsors of the bipartisan immigration measure — at a Capitol Hill rally. The crowd, which was protesting the bill’s effort to put millions of illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship, booed at the mention of Rubio’s name during the six-hour event.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
