| Former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu, a co-chairman of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, on Tuesday dismissed a new poll showing President Obama up by 15 points in the Granite State as "a piece of garbage" and predicted Mr. Romney ultimately would win the state by 2 to 3 points. "Let me just test your political wisdom," Mr. Sununu said to host Chuck Todd on MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown." "Do you think it's possible for that to be right? No, you know it's a piece of garbage."

FTA: Frank Newport of Gallup, have said that the focus on party identification in polls that include a higher sample size of Democrats than Republicans is a misnomer in evaluating a poll's results.
Really? Well let have just one poll where the sampling is 36% R, 29% D and 35 I and let see what the resits are??

Do you people remember the exit polling consortium in 004? And how the numbers were wildly inaccurate? I believe the intent then was to discourage those who had not voted yet, that President Bush was toast, didn't have a chance.
Something like that may be going on this year, especially with that RCP average, which means nothing, but is used by alot of tv folks. It only takes one really inaccurate poll to skew the numbers for barack.

Judging by the amount of signs and bumper stickers I see in the southern (and most liberal) part of the state, Romney is way ahead. Plus there is the fact that the Republicans wiped the floor with the dems in the 2010 local elections. I think Sununu's right. NH will go for Romney.

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
