As Hillary Clinton walked freely down a New Hampshire road, she shook hands and greeted residents with a smile. But the members of the press accompanying her were a bit more restricted in their movements - as they were guided through the streets with a rope. The former Secretary of State´s campaign staff kept reporters, cameramen and photographers at arm´s length as she joined a July 4 parade in Gorham - fueling speculation she is trying to control the media. President Obama disappeared abruptly without the press pool after spending Sunday golfing at Andrews Air Force Base. He took former Hawaii school mate Mike Ramos, pal Marty Nesbitt, the co-CEO of the Vistria group, ESPN´s Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser with him to the links for approximately six hours of golfing, before abruptly taking off without the waiting press pool. Obama left Andrews AFB at 2:48 p.m. and according to a White House official, returned to the White House at 3:04 p.m. The press pool exists so that news organizations can pool resources and send reporters to events where large

WOLFEBORO, New Hampshire —Mitt Romney said Saturday that Donald Trump´s comments on Mexico and undocumented immigrants have hurt the Republican Party, making the 2012 presidential nominee the latest Republican to slam the billionaire over his controversial remarks. Romney made his remarks during a Fourth of July parade in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, which was also attended by presidential candidates New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. Asked if Trump´s comments on Mexicans have hurt the Republican Party, Romney replied, "Yes." "I think he made a severe error in saying what he did about Mexican-Americans," Romney said. And when he was asked if

ATHENS — Greek voters appeared to decisively reject a bailout deal offered by the country’s creditors two weeks ago, an outcome that could redefine the country’s place in Europe and shake the Continent’s financial stability. As celebrants began to gather in Athens’s central Syntagma Square, the Interior Ministry projected that more than 60 percent of the voters had said no to a deal that would have imposed greater austerity measures on the beleaguered country. With 40 percent of the vote in, the actual count tracked the projections, with 61 percent voting no and 39 percent yes, the Interior Ministry said. The no vote

WASHINGTON — Republicans may be worried about the political train wreck that is Donald Trump. But they shouldn’t blame Trump, he’s just doing what any rich, narcissistic, mogul-turned-reality show star would do. It’s the GOP that derailed its own primary race. Trump is a perfect example of what’s wrong with the GOP’s clown-car approach to the presidential primary. The sheer volume of candidates doesn’t mean a wealth of choices, as the party likes to spin it. (Snip)Who he actually speaks to is a tiny segment of the populace who mistakes bigoted drivel for frankness and egotism for authority.
